The Stephens County District Attorney's Office filed a motion to dismiss the murder charge against James Francis Edwards Jr. Prosecutors filed a new charge of accessory after the fact in juvenile court against Edwards in the shooting death of Chris Lane, 22. Edwards testified against 18-year-old Michael Dewayne Jones and 17-year-old Chancey Luna during their preliminary hearings and is expected to testify against them at trial in August. Both are charged with first-degree murder. Prosecutors had earlier said they would dismiss the first-degree murder charge against Edwards in exchange for his continued testimony. Lane was shot while jogging along a tree-lined road in Duncan while visiting his girlfriend's parents in August. Investigators said he was randomly targeted by "bored" teenagers. Joyce Schertzer updated the media about the killing of Douglas Parker, a 20-year-old man who was fatally shot on the evening of May 24. The shooting occurred at about 8:50 p.m. that night. "He’d arrived at the location in the company of friends by taxi. He was killed almost immediately after his arrival," Schertzer said. Parker was hit several times in "the chest area," while his friends were also shot. Schertzer said the investigation has determined that Parker was targeted in the shooting, which she said stemmed from a pre-existing dispute involving several parties. Police identified the suspect as Conrad Grizzle, 20, of Toronto. He is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. - (Black-on-white) - (Canada)

Black Phoenix man arrested in 1989 sexual assault, murder of White woman
Cudellious LovePhoenix police arrested a man after DNA evidence linked him to an unsolved murder and sexual assault from 1989, court records show. In January, a report from the Phoenix Police Department's crime lab indicated a DNA match between a sample taken from the scene and a DNA profile in a state database that belonged to Cudellious Love, a 58-year-old man with a drug conviction that landed him in prison for more than three years in the early aughts. Police say Love's DNA was found on the body of Laura Hunding, who was stabbed to death in her apartment in July 1989. Hunding was found by her landlord days after witnesses last saw her in the early hours of July 16. Witnesses at the time told police that Hunding had attended a dance that night and returned home alone. When located and questioned by police on May 12, Love denied any knowledge of Hunding or her homicide nearly 25 years ago. "He claimed he had never 'messed with' White women, has never been to the victim's apartment complex and was not at all familiar with the east side of Phoenix." "He was shown photographs of the victims and the victim's apartment and he maintained he had never seen the victim or her apartment. He said there would be no reason his fingerprints or DNA would be found or identified as part of the crime scene." On Friday, police located and arrested Love after the agency's crime lab determined there was no mistaking Love's DNA to the DNA at the scene because "the approximate incidence of this profile is 1 in 110 quadrillion African Americans," records show. - (Black-on-white)

Judge struggles with confession conflict in West Palm Beach Chick fil-A murder retrial
Jesse Lee MillerNicholas MegrathWEST PALM BEACH — When prosecutors in 2003 convinced a jury that Otto Wright killed an 18-year-old night manager at Chick-fil-A restaurant in the now defunct Palm Beach Mall, their main evidence was his confession, which they insisted was “absolutely truthful.” However, in that confession, Wright never mentioned Jesse Lee Miller, who is to be tried next week for the execution-style murder of Nicholas Megrath. In fact, in his confession, Wright implicated two other men, who were never charged with the 1999 murder of the Forest Hill High School senior. The issues raised at the pre-trial hearing underscore the convoluted history of the murder that shocked the community both because of its viciousness and the tender age of the victim. The trial, that is to begin Monday with jury selection, will be the fifth Megrath’s family has had to endure. Since Wright’s conviction, additional testing uncovered Miller’s DNA on a ski mask that was left behind after Megrath was duct-taped to a chair and shot in the head. There is also evidence that Miller, who worked at Chick-Fil-A with Megrath, wanted revenge. Miller was fired after Megrath reported he was stealing money from the till. - (Black-on-white)

Court rejects appeal in teenager’s murder
Deandre ClarkRyan SatterfieldConvicted killer Deandre Clark’s appeal of his conviction and sentence in the death of Ryan Satterfield has been denied. The Oklahoma Criminal Court of Appeals ruled against Clark on Monday. Clark sought to get his conviction and life sentence overturned because of “numerous errors” in the trial, according to court documents. The appeals court found that any errors did not add up to Clark receiving an unfair trial, taint the jury’s verdict or “render sentencing unreliable.” Clark was one of six defendants who were convicted of or pleaded guilty to Satterfield’s murder. Satterfield, 17, was killed on Nov. 23, 2011 — Thanksgiving eve — during a robbery at a home in the 1500 block of East Okmulgee Avenue. - (Black-on-white)

They are: Jordan Miller, Martin Miller, Deandre Clark, Fredrick Watson, Tommy Dean, and Troy Dufur.
The heartbroken mother of three says her blue-eyed boy loved his family, his dog Rufus and adventure. When 700 people showed up to his funeral, she knew others loved him too. "My child was taken from way too young, way too early. I'm just grateful that my last words to him were ‘I love you son,' and his last words were ‘I love you more mom,'" she said.

Woman attacked, robbed in Oakland's Temescal District by black
White female victimblack muggerblack muggerOAKLAND, Calif. — A woman walking alone at the dinner hour was jumped, beaten and robbed just around the corner from string of popular restaurants in Oakland’s Temescal District Monday. Neighbors say the attack at 48th Avenue and Shattuck has become symptomatic of a growing crime problem in the area. Lucky for the victim a man walking to his car with his daughter saw the attack and scared the suspects off. Mark Sommer said, “The first thing I did was to shout as powerfully as I could… ‘No! Stop! Get Away!’” His daughter, Maya, said she saw two people huddling over the victim, throwing fists at her. Mark Sommer said years ago he witnessed a similar attack and had said nothing out of fear for his own safety, but Monday night he found the courage to speak up. "What if it had been my daughter? So I really feel glad that this time I didn't withhold," he said. The two robbers scared off by Sommer, ran down Shattuck with the woman’s purse and cell phone and jumped into an awaiting car. One nearby resident, who asked to not be identified, said thieves have been targeting this same stretch of Shattuck from 46th to 49th Avenue. "Three to four times a day we're seeing people casing cars and breaking in,” they said. “We’re calling it in to the police every time and they are stretched very thin and so they often aren’t able to show up for at least half an hour.” Walking down the street, KTVU crews found plenty of broken glass. After Monday’s attack residents, who already had concerns about the rash of car break-ins, say they have new concerns about walking down the street. "It makes me feel pretty helpless, that they know that they can get away with it," the same resident said. - (Black-on-white)

Jealous African migrant father held white ex-girlfriend captive for three days and hacked off her hair 'to make her unattractive'
Rebecca Watton, 29, and her African fornicator Ian HassenA woman who was held captive for three days by her ex-boyfriend - who sheared her hair off as their children watched TV in another room - has spoken out about her nightmare ordeal. Rebecca Watton, 29, of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, was in a relationship with Ian Hassen, 27, for eight years and the couple had three (illegitimate biracial) children together. They split in December 2012 but she remained friendly with Hassen, a Zimbabwean. The pair met through friends and moved to Scotland in 2004. However, it later emerged that Hassen refused to accept their relationship was at an end. One night Hassen looked after the children at Ms Watton's home while she went on a night out. She came home and Hassen left, but soon returned claiming he had missed his train. He then attacked her as the pair sat watching television, pulling something tight around Ms Watton's neck and then tying her up. He began interrogating her about where she had been and who she had seen. 'I knew he had read my phone messages so I confessed I had met someone on the night out who had taken my number and asked me out on a date,' she said. Infuriated, Hassen kept her prisoner, assaulted her and threatened to kill her. He lay next to her in bed and watched her sleep. After three days he dragged her out of bed, muttering that he was going to wait a week, but was going to do 'it' now. Miss Watton thought he was going to murder her, but he instead began wordlessly clipping off her hair. 'My hair felt like it was being ripped out by the roots,' she said. - (UK) - (Black-on-white)

VIDEO: Store Clerk Stands Up To Black Shoplifting Mob
black female shoplifterChicago police are investigating a bold and massive shoplifting scheme. They walk into a store like any other shopper, only they have no plans to pay. In fact, they grab what they want and suddenly take off. The thieves were not expecting a store employee to put up such a fight. A dozen or so people came to the Grand Crossing neighborhood K & G clothing store, but not in search of advertised bargains. They came to steal, as a pack, and in broad daylight. Surveillance video show a brazen robbery. The men and women bring their own shopping bags into the store and fill them up, then simply walk out of the store. The store is busy at the time and only one sales clerk catches on to what’s happening. He tries to stop one man at the door, and there’s a brief scuffle. A few minutes later, a group of female thieves walks away, but the employee surprises them. He grabs one of their bags and then tosses it back into the store.

Witnesses describe Arcata double homicide scene - sexually aggressive black accused of murdering two Whites
Bodhi TreeChristina Schwarz and Alan "Sunshine" MarcetA man who was in an Arcata home last May at the time of a double shooting testified in court on Friday about the first frantic moments, describing how he used a towel to apply pressure to Alan "Sunshine" Marcet's chest as the wounded man was gasping for breath. "I recall him saying, 'I'm dying,'" Nicholas "Eeyore" Page testified while being asked to recount the events of May 18, 2013, by Deputy District Attorney Elan Firpo in the fifth week of the double murder trial. Bodhi Tree is accused of fatally shooting Marcet and Eureka High School senior Christina Schwarz, as well as attempting to murder Rhett August outside a Eureka apartment a few days earlier. Witness Nicholas "Eeyore" Page testified that he saw Marcet and Schwarz lying on the ground when he entered the living room. "They both had bloody wounds on their torso," Page said. "Christina's eyes were opened and glazed. Her shirt was in disarray, exposing her breasts." Tree introduced himself as "C Nasty," Page testified. Witnesses testified Tree was beat up for acting in a sexually aggressive manner toward a woman during a party at August's Eureka apartment a few days prior to both the attempted murder and the double murders. Housemate Emma Lorenc said she didn't meet Tree until he came to the Eye Street home. On the morning of May 17, 2013, while she was making breakfast, he made unwanted advances toward her, telling her he doesn't usually like white girls, Lorenc testified. - (Black-on-white)

Black Teen acquitted in Bremerton attack; White victim says police botched probe
Jordan Monasmithblack accusedBREMERTON — A 14-year-old boy accused of violently attacking a Bremerton woman was found not guilty Tuesday. The boy is now out of jail but the victim in the case, Jordan Monasmith, is terrified he could attack someone else. Monasmith now blames the Bremerton Police Department for botching the investigation. “The state has not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt and therefore the finding of this court must be not guilty,” said Superior Court Judge Leila Mills. Monasmith could be seen shaking her head when she learned that her alleged attacker was about to be set free. “I’m absolutely disgusted by the procedures following the event and how the Bremerton Police Department handled it,” said Monasmith, who insists that she was brutally attacked by the 14-year-old while jogging last month. Detention officers washed the boys clothing, potentially destroying key evidence. - (Black-on-white)
