Black great-grandson accused of killing White 71-year-old Cedar Mill woman
Micus WardJodah CainPORTLAND, OR - The great-grandson of a woman found dead in her Cedar Mill home Saturday is in police custody accused of killing the 71-year-old woman. Deputies received a call to check on the welfare of Jacqueline Bell Saturday morning. Deputies said she was found dead in her home on Northwest Lee Street from "homicidal violence." Investigators believe the crime occurred earlier that morning. At 8:05 that same morning, an OSP trooper was notified about a reckless driver on Interstate 84 heading east near Milepost 251. A commercial truck driver reported a green car driving between the travel lanes and nearly rear-ending his trailer. Troopers spotted a 2006 Lexus ES350 a few miles down the road and attempted a traffic stop. Police said the Lexus then hit speeds of 135 mph. The car took Exit 273 and slowed down as it attempted to re-enter I-84. The trooper took advantage of the reduced speed and spun out the Lexus, pinning the driver's door closed. The right front passenger, later identified as Micus Ward, 19, of Kansas City, tried to run, but was caught by another trooper a short time later. The driver was unable to get out of the car and was taken into custody. He was identified as Jodah Cain, 17, the great-grandson of Bell. Investigators said he had been living with her in Cedar Mill. Cain and Ward are accused of killing Bell and stealing her Lexus. Deputies believe the pair planned to drive to Kansas City, where they both recently lived. The medical examiner's office confirmed Bell died from "blunt force trauma." - (Black-on-white)

  • Friends say Cedar Mill suspect had threatened to silence victim
The Friday evening before Bell's body was found, the friend said several people were at her house smoking marijuana and drinking, and that had Cain introduced Ward as a cousin. Cain was reportedly asked whether Bell would be upset by the noise they were making and he responded, "Don't worry, I'll hit her. I'll knock her out." The friend added that Bell was planning an extended trip out of town and that there would be a big party at the house Saturday night.

Anthony Darnell WadeElizabeth "Bessie" Mae WhymanAnthony Darnell Wade, the 28-year-old drifter who tried to plead insanity for raping, torturing and killing beloved Anaheim widow Elizabeth "Bessie" Mae Whyman, should receive the death penalty, a jury in Santa Ana recommended this afternoon. Wade raped her, tied up her hands and feet and punched and kicked her. He then tortured and murdered her by repeatedly stabbing her with a kitchen knife.     7 blacks arrested for two-week Detroit killing spree - White Vietnam War vet murdered - shot in back
7 black feral hood rat killersJohn VillneffDETROIT - Seven men are arrested in connection with what police say is a two-week killing spree in Detroit. Police believe the spree started with the murder of two teenage boys from Westland. The bodies of 18-year-old Jake Kudla and 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish were found in a field on Detroit's east side late July of 2012. They had been missing for about a week. The boys' families eventually learned they visited an uncle's house, then went to a gas station looking to buy drugs. Investigators say they met with a group of guys who drove them to a house, robbed them, drove them to a field on Lyford Street and shot them to death.
"Yes, these are some god-awful people that need to be off the street," Melissa Villneff said. Police believe the suspects also killed her father, 62-year-old John Villneff. Police say on that day the group broke in and robbed a house, pistol whipped a 16-year-old boy and shot and killed John Villneff, a veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient. But the alleged killing spree continues. Just hours later, in the early-morning hours of August 9, police believe some of the men are involved in a carjacking and used a woman to lure a 25-year-old man into an apartment building, robbing and killing him. The first suspect was arrested in connection with John Villneff's murder and the rest slowly started to trickle in after that as, police say, the men began to turn on each other. The suspects have been locked up for months, and some are already convicted for Villneff's murder. The men arrested in connection with the killing spree are Felando Hunter, Fredrick Young, brothers Reco and Aquire Simmons, Michael Evans, Michael Montgomery and Brandon Crawford. - (Black-on-white)

They was trying to kill my niece because she took pictures of them, and my dad stepped in the way of the gun and that’s why he died, to save his 12-year-old granddaughter,” Villneff said breaking into tears.

3 soldiers arrested in JBLM soldier’s stabbing death
Tevin Geikeno mugshot available yetLAKEWOOD, Wash. — Three men who were booked into the Pierce County Jail early Monday were arrested in the case of a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier who was stabbed to death. The suspects are also JBLM soldiers. The men were booked on investigation of murder charges shortly after 4 a.m. in the death of 20-year old Tevin Geike.

Lakewood police said on Sunday at 3:40p.m., detectives were contacted by a military sergeant who told them he had information on the Geike’s stabbing death. The sergeant said that another soldier had come forward with good information on who may have been responsible for the stabbing, police said. The soldier had told his sergeant that another soldier in his unit, Jeremiah Hill, had asked for first aid for a knife wound on his right hand on Saturday afternoon. The soldier stated that Hill told him he cut his hand when he stabbed a guy to death over the weekend.

The soldier didn’t believe him initially, but told his sergeant about what happened. The sergeant confronted Hill about this information, but Hill said he cut it while chopping vegetables. The soldier ended up taking Hill to Madigan Hospital for treatment, where Hill told hospital staff he cut his hand cutting parachute cord.

Police said they obtained information on another person involved in the crime who was brought in for an interview. According to police, the 21-year-old soldier was cooperative and admitted he was at the stabbing scene. Detectives said he told them he was in a vehicle with four of his friends driving on Pacific Highway when words are exchanged between Geike and his two friends, who were walking on the street, and his friends in the car. He said they stopped to talk to the victims, but nothing happened once they discovered they were all active duty soldiers.

As the five men were walking back to their car, Hill appeared to bear hug the victim and pushed him to the ground, authorities said. Lakewood police said the soldier told them that Hill was covered in blood when he got into the car and they discovered he had stabbed the victim and cut himself. They fled the scene and disposed of the knife.

Another cooperative suspect, a 19-year-old man, was brought in as well and he corroborated the accounts given up to that point, police said. Detectives said they then tried to interview Hill, but he did not make a statement and asked for a lawyer. The other three suspects were brought in for interviews and gave statements. Police said they located and seized the vehicle the men were in during the attack, and barracks rooms were searched and multiple items of evidence were found.

The three men who were arrested and booked for investigation of murder were 23-year-old Jeremiah Hill, 21-year-old Cedarium Johnson and 21-year-old Ajoni Runnion-Bareford.

According to Lakewood police, it appeared from interviewing everyone involved that race was not a motivating factor in the homicide.
