Boyle’s sister tells the Grand Forks Herald in North Dakota that the ruling was excruciating, unfair and not justice. Kathleen Wrigley is the wife of North Dakota Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley. Prosecutors Want 1990 Arson-Murder Conviction Reinstated
Han Tak LeeProsecutors asked a federal appeals court to reinstate the murder conviction of a man who spent 24 years in prison for his daughter's death in a fire, saying they remain convinced of his guilt even though much of their evidence has been debunked. Han Tak Lee was freed last year after a judge, noting a "tidal shift in our understanding of fire science," found the case against him relied on since-discredited theories about arson and how it can be detected. Prosecutors appeared before the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday to argue that other evidence supported the jury's guilty verdict against Lee, an 80-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from South Korea. Lee had taken his volatile, mentally ill daughter to a religious retreat in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains where, prosecutors say, he set fire to their cabin and then watched impassively as it burned. The body of 20-year-old old Ji Yun Lee was found in the ashes.

Benjamin Wey and Hanna BouvengThe married Wall Street CEO on trial for pressuring his Swedish subordinate into having sex with him admitted in court Thursday that he decided to fire her after he found her boyfriend lying in bed in the expensive Tribeca apartment he rented for her. Benjamin Wey, 43, testified that he decided 25-year-old Hanna Bouveng’s job performance had dropped off after he discovered she was “cheating on him,” and then bizarrely claimed the pair never had sex and he didn’t even find her sexually attractive. “Isn’t it true that you fired Hanna Bouveng two hours after finding a naked black man in her bed?” Bouveng’s lawyer David Ratner asked Wey, who took the stand in Manhattan federal court. “Yes,” answered Wey, who claimed not to have recognized Bouveng’s boyfriend when he barged into the apartment on April 22, 2014, even though he’d hired an investigator to research the man and had seen photos of him. Wey lasted just two minutes the first time he bedded Bouveng, her lawyer said in opening statements earlier this week.

"I started stabbing Dennis," Fredericks said in court. "I said, 'How does it feel raping little kids now. It's not so fun raping little kids now, is it?' At the end I slit his throat." Family and friends of Fredericks wept almost nonstop as he spoke. And then as he got up to leave, applause broke out in the courtroom, something the prosecutors said he'd never seen before. One of those crying and applauding was Rose Funari, who said her own brother a victim of Pegg.
