He rejoices at the opportunities the migrant crisis has offered. “It is bad for the people, but politically it is good for me,” Mr. Niemann said of the plan, which would leave the German villagers outnumbered by migrants by more than seven to one. Germans face “the destruction of our genetic heritage” and risk becoming “a gray mishmash,” Mr. Niemann added, predicting that public anxiety over Ms. Merkel’s open-armed welcome to refugees would help demolish a postwar political consensus in Germany built on moderation and compromise.

  • Landlord accused of setting fire outside apartment over late rent
An alleged Williamsburg arsonist went on the lam for a year after threatening a deadbeat tenant for past-due rent — then setting fire outside the man’s apartment when he didn’t pay. Yehuda Herskovic, 57, allegedly sent Moses Greenfeld, who lives at 356 Marcy Ave., a series of typo-filled texts last November in an effort to strong arm him into paying rent he owed. Greenfeld, who was home at the time, saw Herskovic allegedly start the inferno. Sources said Herskovic was “collecting rent,” but that the property is owned by Naftali Steinmetz, who also lives in the building. Herskovic’s lawyer Israel Fried declined to comment.

Cochran friended her on Facebook last May, and that she accepted because he was a friend of a friend. "He seemed perfectly normal... perfectly nice," she said. But he soon seemed to want more, sending this message in the middle of the night: "I want to hang out with you the next time I am in Dallas."
