Jury Deliberations Begin For Black Man In North Philly Rape Double Murder Cold Case
Rudolph ChurchillPHILADELPHIA – Jurors will return Monday morning for deliberations in a cold case rape and double murder from 1989 in North Philadelphia. They got the case – which featured dueling DNA experts — late Friday afternoon, and talked it over about 90 minutes. Assistant DA Gwen Cujdik told jurors “the evidence was silent” for 27 years, “and now we gave it a voice.” She went on to say the “science does not lie. That’s how we found you,” glaring and pointing a finger at the defendant, 54-year-old Rudolph Churchill. Prosecutors allege Churchill’s DNA was on a paper towel found near 19-year-old Ruby Ellis’ body and on 33-year old victim Cheryl Hanible’s sneaker. Cujdik said they “were perfect victims, poor, on the streets and selling their bodies.” She says Churchill “degraded and victimized them, expecting no one to care.”

Horndog CEO’s rice-burner wife is headed to anger management
Michaela WeyBenjamin Wey and Hanna BouvengThe wife of disgraced Wall Street horndog Benjamin Wey dodged jail time Monday by agreeing to undergo anger management for assaulting a photographer during her husband’s sex-harassment trial. An exhausted-looking Michaela Wey — wearing a black sweater and navy-blue slacks — appeared before Manhattan Criminal Court Justice Kevin McGrath and agreed to do three days community service and therapy for assaulting the shutterbug as she left federal court in June after testifying for her hubby at his trial. Michaela Wey — who was born in Czechoslovakia and met her husband while working as a Denny’s waitress — sobbed on the stand at her husband’s trial. Benjamin Wey had been sued by Hanna Bouveng, his pretty Swedish former intern, for pressuring her into sex and then writing on his blog that she was a cocaine-addicted hooker. Still, the Weys’ legal woes continue, as he was indicted on stock-manipulation charges, and she was sued alongside him in a related civil complaint by the federal Securities and Exchange Commission.

(Black) Suspect Who Shot at White Cop has been Captured
Trev Bowies Jackson Lynn AndersonFive months after he allegedly fired at a police officer in a small central Pennsylvania town, the suspect in a traffic stop gone terribly wrong is in custody, according to police. Trev Bowies Jackson, 24, was arrested Friday in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia by U.S. Marshals, Northern York County police said in a statement. At the time of the shooting in late November last year, police allege Jackson is the suspect seen in dramatic police car dash camera video shooting point-blank range at the head of Officer Lynn Anderson. Somehow, Anderson wasn't struck with a bullet, and he scrambled away as the shooter then gets back in his car and drives off. In the moments before the shooting, Anderson asked the suspect to get out of the car and put his hands behind his back, the video shows. The suspect then opened fire. "On November 23, 2015 an arrest warrant was issued charging Jackson with criminal attempt – criminal homicide," Northern York County police said in a statement Friday. "During the course of the investigation, Marshals developed information that Jackson had fled the area and was hiding out in the city of Philadelphia. Task Force Marshals from Harrisburg teamed up with Marshals from Philadelphia in locating and arresting Jackson. On April 29, Deputy U.S. Marshals, Task Force Officers and Philadelphia Police Department Swat, located and arrested Jackson without incident in the 2600 block of North Stanley Street in Philadelphia." - (Black-on-white)

Taylor PolingTyrill L. WadeSAGINAW, MI — Prosecutors have issued charges in a 2010 cold case homicide on Saginaw's East Side. Tyrill L. Boyd declined to comment on the specifics of the case pending Wade's future court hearings. It was not clear if a judge will arraign Wade via video conferencing from prison or if authorities will bring him to Saginaw on Tuesday. Police have said Poling's boyfriend about 8:30 p.m. discovered her shot inside her one-bedroom rental apartment at 446 S. 10th near Burt. Doctors pronounced her dead about two hours later.
