about it on Facebook sentenced to life   ARAPAHOE
COUNTY, Colo. — A teen prosecutors say boasted on social media after
randomly shooting and killing a Denver chef in 2016 was sentenced in
an Arapahoe County court Friday. Arapahoe District Court Judge
Andrew Baum sentenced 18-year-old Raheem Benson to life in
prison with the possibility of parole after 40 years. He was 16 years old when he murdered 33-year-old Nicholas Lewis. Benson and Louis Lara-Macias, who was sentenced in December for Lewis’s death, killed Lewis on Oct. 1, 2016, near South Acoma Street and West Cornell Ave while Lewis was walking home from a convenience store. The chef at Blackbird Public House was found lying on his back on a nearby sidewalk and pronounced dead later that night. A coroner’s report found Lewis had been shot three times, including in the heart. Benson and Lara-Macias were arrested in connection with the case after investigators traced a stolen car out of Denver on Sept. 28, 2016, and were able to connect the suspects to the murder of the Denver chef. Lara-Macias was sentenced to 21 years in prison, which will be served after he successfully serves seven years in the youth corrections system. The district attorney’s office said Benson took to Facebook after the shooting and posed with the mask he wore and a gun he used the night he killed Lewis during a robbery attempt. - (Black-on-white) |

COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - Hillsborough County deputies are searching for
a man accused of stealing from elderly residents at the assisted
living facility he was employed at. Detectives say between
June 10 and June 14 of this year, Dian'te Matthew, a
Certified Negro Nursing Assistant employed at Arbor Terrace Assisted
Living Facility, stole a wedding ring
from a 91-year-old woman. He's
accused of pawning the ring at Mr. Money Pawn on June 14. As
detectives searched his past pawns, they located a
second victim at Arbor Terrace. That victim's wedding
band was pawned on May 26. Luckily, detectives were able
to track down both rings and return them to the victims. But, they
believe there are more victims. Detectives are now searching for
Matthew, who was terminated earlier this month for not showing up to

exploitation case. On Tuesday, June 26, the Toronto Police Service
Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in

October 2015 to December 2017, a man communicated online with several
children under the ages of 16 and 18, engaging them
in sexually explicit chats and sending them sexually explicit
images. Wesley States, 24, of Toronto, has been arrested and
charged with six accounts, including luring a child (under 16),
making child pornography, and making sexually explicit material
available to a child. Police said States communicated with several

WAYNE, IN (CBS46) - A passenger of Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines
claims she was unfairly kicked off of a plane over an argument with
a flight attendant on whether her phone was in airplane mode. The
woman was a Delta passenger, but it was a Delta Connections flight
being operated by SkyWest Airlines. She had just boarded the plane
in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and they were getting ready to take off. A
nearby passenger picked up his phone and started recording once
things got heated between the woman and the SkyWest flight
attendant. The woman claims the flight attendant rudely asked her to
put her phone on airplane mode. In the video, you can hear the
flight attendant saying the woman had been asked several times to do
so. The woman wasn't the only one kicked off the flight. The
man across the aisle who recorded the video stood up for the woman
and he, too, got kicked off the plane, along with his young son and
another woman a few rows ahead who asked the flight attendant to sit
down so they could all fly. |

— A man and woman charged in connection with the shooting death of a
Florence man are scheduled to have their first appearance in court
today. Jesse James "Jesse James" Parker and Hannah Burrows
will have an advisement hearing in front of Lauderdale County
Circuit Judge Gil Self, Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris
Connolly said. Burrows, 18, and Parker, 31, both from Memphis,
Tennessee, have been charged with murder in connection with the
death of Christopher “Devan” Cobb.
Cobb, 23, was found shot to death June 22 inside his Florence
apartment when police did a welfare check after family members
reported Cobb had not been heard from in 24 hours. Cobb met Parker
and Burrows through the Internet as a result of having a mutual
interest in music. The two suspects had been staying with Cobb

- A robbery suspect reportedly went on a biting spree Sunday night,
chomping on three police officers and a member of the Waynesboro

armed with a knife grabbed an employee of the eatery and demanded a
phone, police said. A Waynesboro police officer found the suspect in
the area and ordered him to the ground. A knife was recovered. The
suspect, 39-year-old Aaron Hernando Talifarro Holder
of Waynesboro, was taken to the Waynesboro Police Department, where
two outstanding Staunton misdemeanor warrants were served along with
a felony warrant for armed robbery.After attempting to place Holder in a police vehicle, he allegedly began to violently resist and bit an officer. Holder reportedly kicked out the rear window of the vehicle and began eating the broken glass |

Orleans police jailed a Louisiana State Police trooper Tuesday
evening on allegations that he raped a
16-year-old girl, according to authorities.
Leander Journee, 36, faces one count of third-degree rape. He
had posted a $25,000 bond to secure his release from custody by
Wednesday morning and will be due back at Orleans Parish Criminal
District Court at a later date. In a statement Wednesday, State
Police Superintendent Col. Kevin Reeves said Journee had immediately
been placed on administrative leave, and troopers had taken back his
agency-issued equipment. |

NIGS Wanted After ‘Cold-Blooded’ Shooting Inside Upper Darby

DARBY, Pa. (CBS) – Upper Darby police are searching for two suspects
wanted in connection to a violent shooting that injured a
16-year-old boy and left a 23-year-old man in serious condition.
Surveillance video released by police on Tuesday shows the moment a
shooting erupted at the Good Luck Chinese Restaurant at 790 Garrett
Road, around 11:45 p.m. on June 15. Police say the first suspect,
27-year-old Oscar J. Seth-Murray, walked into the
restaurant, ordered food and walked out. Moments later, the video
shows Seth-Murray walking into the restaurant a second time and
approaching a man with a wad of cash, say police. The suspect is
seen grabbing the victim by the shirt and dragging him outside.
That’s when police say Seth-Murray shot the 23-year-old man in the
neck. Investigators say the bullet came out of the victim’s back and
then struck a 16-year-old bystander in the thigh.Police say right after the shooting, the second suspect, 26-year-old Timothy Dwayne Price, Jr. a.ka. “Wop,” rushed to the door and fired two shots in Seth-Murray’s direction. No one was injured in that shooting. “It’s a sadistic, heinous, cold-blooded calculated shooting. That’s period what it is,” said Superintendent Michael Chitwood with the Upper Darby Police Department. |

and allegedly confessed to killing a woman and trying hiding her
body in concrete at his family’s Southwest Side garage. Cesar
Cono-Olvera, 22, appeared for a bail hearing Thursday at
the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on a charge of first-degree murder
in the death of 30-year-old Joyce
Cluchey, whose body was discovered Sunday afternoon in the
garage of his family’s home in the 4900 block of South Keeler,
according to authorities. Cluchey had been reported missing to
police after last being seen shortly after 11 a.m. May 18 near
47th Street and Cicero Avenue, according to a missing person alert
from police. When he was interviewed Monday, Cono-Olvera told
detectives that Cluchey approached him and that he stabbed her
and struck her in the head with a metal pipe in self
defense. No motive for the killing was offered.When Cluchey fell to the ground, he hid her body under a vehicle in the garage “that isn’t driven often,” Marquardt said. He returned five days later, wrapped her body in plastic and placed her in a plastic bin. He put the bin in the back of the vehicle and poured concrete over the body. Cono-Olvera is a citizen of Mexico who has lived in the United States for the last 12 years, previously working as a mechanic and landscaper. |

OH (FOX19) - A Cincinnati man is in jail facing charges after police
say he attacked a pregnant woman and tried to rape her, but the
woman fought back.The woman who survived the attack said she is suffering a fractured nose along with bruising and swelling to her face. The incident reportedly happened on Friday, June 22 around 11 a.m. The woman, who shared photos of her injuries, but asked FOX19 NOW not to use her name, said she was walking her dog on Riverside in the East End when it occurred. The nine-months-pregnant woman noticed a man, who police now identify as 27-year-old Anthony Smith, coming down Collins. She said something about his behavior made her uneasy, so she crossed the street attempting to put distance between them, but Smith followed her. The woman reported that she then headed towards the LeBlond Center pool where people were swimming. Smith, she said, continued to follow her. At one point, the woman said she turned and yelled at Smith, saying things like "stay away from us," but Smith still did not stop. The woman, in a panic, took off running, until she said she felt Smith tackle her to the ground and try to pull up her shirt and pull down her pants, all while mumbling "it's okay, let me do this." With all her strength, she told police she fought back, screaming and hitting Smith. Smith, police said, then started punching and hitting her. A group of people at the pool heard the commotion and rushed over to help. Three men, the woman said, held Smith down, while others tended to her and called 911. After two days in the hospital, the woman's family said she is now out, recovering from her injuries. She said she is forever grateful for the witnesses who stepped in and saved her and her baby's life and has since thanked those individuals in person. - (Black-on-white) |

The victim told police her ex-boyfriend, Patrick Langley, 36, had stolen her dog from the porch. Police reported that the victim said Langley had sent a photo of the animal shot and killed. The victim contacted police on June 15, 2018, saying she received numerous calls from Langley. According to the probable cause report, Langley threatened to hurt her if she did not "get rid" of her current boyfriend. Langley had called the woman while she was with the police. Officers overheard Langley saying he killed the dog as a warning to the victim, the probable cause report said. The victim later identified Langley in a photo lineup. |

happened on June 17.The suspect, Chinyere "Ray" Okoronkwo, 20, was arrested on Tuesday around 5 p.m. On the date of the rape, Okoronkwo allegedly followed the female victim while she was walking home from Fleet Avenue in Cleveland. The victim said she was attacked and raped near her home. She sustained non-life threatening but incapacitating injuries and was treated at MetroHealth Hospital, according to police. (CBS) — A suspect is accused of sexually assaulting his
ex-girlfriend following a barricade situation at a North
Philadelphia home on Sunday morning. Police say they were initially
called to the 5200 block of Marwood Street shortly after 4 a.m.
when a 24-year-old woman ran from a home and toward officers. Police
say the victim told them that her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old
Shawon Tennessee, sexually and physically assaulted her.
According to police, Tennessee barricaded himself inside the home
and refused to leave. SWAT officers arrived on the scene and were
able to locate Tennessee inside the home. He was then taken into
custody and transported to the Special Victims Unit for further

charged with rape, kidnapping and burglary for an attack that took
place on May 20. He is accused of holding a woman captive and raping
her repeatedly over the course of several hours. Prosecutors asked

into the basement, strangling her, and then sexually assaulted her
repeatedly for approximately four hours," said prosecutor Dave Wood.
Wood said the victim escaped, wearing only a towel, while Hutcherson

Montgomery surrendered to authorities around 3:30 p.m., almost
18 hours after the ordeal began. He is facing a litany of charges,
including kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child. The
incident happened on the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue, just after
9:40 p.m. on Monday. Investigators say the boy and his 21-year-old
mother were at a nearby bus stop when the boy’s mother was
approached by her ex-boyfriend. Police say an argument
ensued and the man grabbed the child and fled the area. The mother
ran after them but was unable to catch up. |

missing woman, were found at the man's home. Charles
Alexander Dogan, of Oakvale Road in Piedmont, is charged with
desecration of human remains, criminal conspiracy and obstruction of
justice. Detectives investigating the disappearance of Stacy
Davidson Carmack, found that Dogan had burned a body
believed to be Carmack’s on Friday. Investigators with the
Greenville County Violent Crimes Unit said Carmack was last seen at
the home on Oakvale Drive May 28 and 29. The remains are being
examined by the Greenville County medical examiner. The cause of

tried to leave his girlfriend’s apartment, but his bike was blocked

exchanged words with Booker. As Booker rode away, the suspect
followed. About a half mile from the apartment, paramedics
found Booker fatally injured from a gunshot to the back. He was a

both take tests for sexually transmitted infections, and after her
test came back negative, Zakikhani told her that his was also
negative.In April 2014, the woman began to experience symptoms of HIV, court records show. First she noticed frequent illnesses and a considerable drop in weight. She was hospitalized for pneumonia in May 2014. |

complex Wednesday and strangled a dog. Two women escaped a violent
home invasion in Concord, New Hampshire, but police say the intruder
nearly killed their golden retriever. That dog is going to survive,
but it was a terrifying afternoon for a mom and her daughter who
live on the second floor of an apartment building at 32 Cherry
Street. They say they were shocked to see a naked man
climbing up to their balcony. “He was so angry,” Brenda
Rines said. What happened to Rines and her 19-year-old
daughter Wednesday afternoon is something right out of a horror
film. “He’s nuts, he’s crazy, we just had to get out of there, it
was really frightening,” she said. Police say the suspect was
wearing a robe when he started frantically banging on doors at the
Concord apartment building. “Next thing you know, my daughter looks
over and says, ‘Oh my God, he’s coming up our balcony with no
clothes on,” Rines recalled. She and her daughter ran to their car
as fast as they could, locked the doors and called police. Turns
out, their dog, Wendell,
who was still inside, suffered the worst of the attack. “My
dog’s nose got cut, his eyes were all bloodshot, I don’t know
whether he pulled his collar or used an extension cord, no idea,”

HILLS, Pa. — Branden Washington was charged with torturing
his 6-month-old
Labrador retriever after police say the puppy
urinated on the 23-year-old man's bed. According to the criminal
complaint, Washington slammed the puppy against a wall, breaking its
back. The complaint says the dog was yelping and trying to crawl
away but that Washington picked it up, placed it in the toilet
headfirst and began flushing the toilet to drown the dog. Dewi
Vrolijk, who lives along Azalea Drive in Penn Hills, discovered the
dog's body in a garbage bag in the woods behind their homes. He said
he immediately went to the Penn Hills Police Department. Vrolijk
said that when police arrived to arrest Washington, he hid inside
the home and had to be tracked down by a police K-9, then taken into

footage and a bloody beer can helped police identify a murder
suspect in a stabbing death in the central valley, a Las Vegas
police arrest report shows.Metropolitan Police Department detectives watched security footage of a man, identified by police as 32-year-old Michael Joseph Cain, stab another man multiple times about 11:45 p.m. June 17 near a parking lot at 2797 S. Maryland Parkway, near Vegas Valley Drive, the report said. The report indicates that the man stabbed, 52-year-old Roy Butz, had stopped on the nearby sidewalk when Cain allegedly attacked, throwing Butz to the parking lot asphalt and stabbing him multiple times. Butz died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. “Cain appeared to attack unprovoked and stabbed Butz while he was standing and while he was on the ground,” the Metropolitan Police Department report said. Investigators arrested the suspected stabber June 18, police said. Prosecutors charged Cain with murder. He remained in Clark County Detention Center as of Friday night. After the attack, Cain walked north through the lot and tossed a silver beer can north of the stabbing site. - Terrelle Johnson confessed to killing his mother the morning
after her decapitated body was found June 6 in their backyard in
Stone County, a sheriff's deputy testified at a preliminary hearing
Wednesday afternoon. Boggs took the stand as Johnson, 29, sat with his head hung beside his attorney, Jim Davis of Gulfport, during the brief hearing. Boggs knew Johnson because the sheriff's office had been called an unspecified number of times to the tidy brick home on Johnson Road, where Johnson lived with his mother, 51-year-old Sherry Johnson. She worked as a guidance counselor at Hattiesburg High School. "When I entered the bedroom," Boggs said, "I immediately noticed blood everywhere." He said the walls and bed were covered in blood. Sherry Johnson's headless body lay in the backyard. Boggs said he did not see the head at first, but it was located about 15 feet from her body. Deputies arrested Johnson and crime scene investigators worked into the next morning to process the crime scene. He said he took her body to the backyard so the house would not smell bad. |

Texas (KTRK) -- Police are looking for answers after a woman's body
was found decomposing in her garage, and her car stolen. The
homicide team was called to the 12000 block of Leader St. around 10
p.m. Friday after neighbors reported a foul smell. Once
inside the home, investigators found the
homeowner dead in the garage. Police say her body
was in an apparent state of decomposition. During their work,
they discovered a maroon colored 2003 red Buick LeSabre was missing.
Police say the car was recently used during a dine-and-dash at a
local Denny's restaurant, just fivemiles away from the scene.
Exclusive surveillance video from the business shows two men walking
into the business around 9:30 p.m. on June 20, three days before the
victim's body was discovered. Employees told Eyewitness News the men
ordered around $50 in food, then tried to leave without paying. |

Police say an anonymous 911 call came in just before 6:30 p.m., in
which the called gave a detailed description of the suspect who was
firing off a handgun. A second 911 call gave similar details, adding
that the man was firing a silver 9mm handgun into the air and into
the ground. At least five city blocks were covered with crime
scene tape due to the length of the foot chase. Police say the two
officers involved in the shooting were wearing body-worn cameras
that were activated. The number of shots fired is not clear. |

A retired NYPD cop got into a car accident Wednesday morning in
Midtown Manhattan — and reacted by pulling a gun on and choking the

Yee Li, 61, traded paint with a 38-year-old motorist
near the corner of East 42nd Street and First Avenue just before
7:15 a.m., according to police. An enraged Li hopped out of his 2011
Subaru, stormed over to the other driver’s window, and allegedly pointed

victim by the neck, leaving him gasping for air, authorities allege.

County Jail without bond. Police found him walking in the Target
parking lot partially nude and took him into custody without

to a hospital with non-critical injuries. Horn Lake Police said German
and the woman did not know each other. Bystanders pulled
German off the woman.Mullins said she saw a man dressed in only a T-shirt, socks and tennis shoes running out of the store. Another witness said the man said he was sorry after the attack and said he didn't mean it, then asked for his mother. Abbott said the woman had several deep gashes on the back of her head, a mangled ear and said it looked like one of her teeth had been knocked out. A soccer coach who had been deported from Texas as a child molester
in 2009 has returned to allegedly molest another child — this time
in Brooklyn, The Post has learned. Pablo Pineda, 39,
was arrested Thursday at the Friends Field on East Fourth Street in
Midwood, officials confirmed Friday. Pineda allegedly groped the genitals of a 10-year old boy repeatedly over the course of four months, between June and September of 2017, police sources said. He also texted the boy in an attempt to get the kid to meet him at the movies, the sources said. The alleged abuse was first reported to cops Wednesday. Pineda’s record includes a 2005 arrest in Texas on charges of sex abuse of a child, an offense that led to him becoming a registered sex offender, the sources said. He was deported in 2009 but it remains unclear what his country of origin is or when and how he returned to the United States. |

of Philadelphia, exposed himself to three 15-year-old girls at a
Wendy’s in Huntingdon Valley on June 12. Police say the suspect
exposed himself to the same girls in March at the Huntingdon Valley
Shopping Center.Rosenberg is also accused of exposing himself to a 14-year-old girl at the Neshaminy Mall in 2006. |
