time in prison for arson  COLLEGE
STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - The Brenham man arrested Monday in College
Station for aggravated robbery also served time in prison for setting
a classroom on fire a decade ago. In
2009, Rufus Edward Lockett, 29, was sentenced to eight years
in prison for setting fire to a Brenham classroom two years prior.
He reportedly set the fire to avoid taking a test.The fire caused $200,000 worth of damage, and Lockett pleaded guilty to first degree felony arson. Records indicate Lockett was released from prison in 2016. Now, Lockett is now in custody in Brazos County after police say he robbed a College Station gas station and shot the clerk. Lockett is being charged with aggravated robbery, according to Brazos County Justice Web. According to College Station police, just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Lockett went into the Valero on Rock Prairie Road and Highway 6 and demanded money. A witness told police that when the clerk was unable to provide any money, the man shot her multiple times and fled the scene in a dark, possibly gray sedan. Police identified the clerk Monday morning as Anita Jean Randle, 54, of College Station. Paramedics on scene with the College Station Fire Department performed life saving measures, and Randle was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition. (3TV/CBS 5) - Phoenix police have arrested a man in connection to a
deadly hit-and-run crash near 19th and Dunlap avenues on Saturday.
The brother of the victim spoke out to Arizona's Family before an
arrest was made. "He was a good guy, he had a big heart, loved life, his family, his friends, his dog," the victim's brother, Mike Carringer, said. Police say 24-year-old Matthew Carringer was riding his skateboard against traffic when a car hit him head on. The vehicle never stopped but other drivers who saw what happened were able to give eyewitness reports to police. "It disgusts me, personally, going through this. I don't know how you can just go and see somebody come against your windshield and then drive away like nothing happened. I don't know how you can personally live with that. Frankly, it just really disgusts me," Mike said through tears. On Monday, Phoenix police arrested 21-year-old Breyon Green for leaving the scene of the crash. Fla. - A clerk wounded in an armed robbery at an Arlington gas
station over the weekend has died of his injuries, and police are
looking for the shooter.The shooting unfolded during a pre-dawn robbery Saturday at the GATE gas station located on Merrill Road near Townsend Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office said Martin Hower, 55, was shot in the abdomen. Hower, a New York transplant, was taken to an area hospital, but he did not survive. A longtime friend of Hower's said it's difficult to believe he's gone. In the wake of Hower's shooting, Andreas Mackey said there needs to be more security in place for clerks. "Why kill that man?" Mackey wondered aloud Monday. "For what reason? For money, they needed money. Hell, I would've given him money out of my account, but why did that kill a man." Mackey said Hower was fearless despite working overnight hours at a convenience store, which is the sort of business robbers tend to target. "He would say, 'Go get a job,'" he said. "I'd say, 'I agree with you, Martin, but we are old school, we believe in going to get a job.' These people don't care these days. They shoot you for nothing." Mackey said this incident underscores why clerks should be protected in the workplace. He said those security measures could include bulletproof glass, limited hours or armed security. "Me personally, I think they (clerks) should be able to carry," he added. The shooter is described as 5-foot-9, in his 20s and with dreadlocks. assaulted one of her students has been sentenced to serve nine
months in jail. Kirvanna Jones, who was 24 at the time of

Jones initially was charged with second-degree sexual assault and
risk of injury to a minor. Admitting in court recently that she had

case of a woman from Philadelphia who died after receiving cosmetic
butt injections in New York City in June has been ruled a
homicide. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of New York City
determined that 48-year-old Lesbia Ayala died of systemic
silicone embolism syndrome due to cosmetic silicone injections of
the buttocks and thighs, declaring it a homicide. On June 17, police
responded to a call of an aided female inside 2219 Seward Avenue.
When police arrived at the address, they observed Ayala in cardiac
arrest. EMS transported Ayala to Jacobi Hospital, where she was

police are searching for suspects after a female store clerk was
shot to death at a convenience store Friday night.
Stacey Regina Branham, 49, of Weeping Willow Road,
was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound,
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said. Easley Police Chief Tim
Tollison said she was found dead around 8 p.m. at B Pam's Food Mart,
a convenience store at 201 NE Main St. in Easley. Tollison also said
police have physical evidence that the clerk fired a gun at the two
suspects, but there's no definitive evidence that either of them
were hit."It does not appear from the video anything was taken," he added. Police said the suspects appear to be dark-skinned males, possibly of African-American descent, between 5'10" and 6 feet tall. He also punched and slapped her repeatedly, and even punched her in the stomach, she said. While investigating the incident, officers said they learned the 15-year-old is pregnant with the defendant’s child. She was also reported as a runaway. N.J. (CBS/AP) — A 22-year-old man has been charged with vehicular
homicide in addition to other charges following a fatal two vehicle
collision at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Sunday
morning. Police say David Lamar was impaired when he
attempted to pass vehicles ahead of him and drove over the
double yellow line, colliding with a car full of
students. In addition to vehicular homicide, Lamar is charged
with seven counts of second-degree assault by auto. A 20-year-old
student died Tuesday from the injuries he sustained in the accident.Michael Sot, a sophomore math major from Clark, died Tuesday, Monmouth County officials said. Sot was acting as a designated driver for five other students when the impaired driver crossed into the oncoming lane and struck the vehicle, a GoFundMe set up in Sot’s memory states. College officials say five students were injured: Danielle DeFlores, Matthew DeGenova, Anthony Galante, Ryan Moore and Sot. charge black suspect in fatal crash stemming from
'domestic assault' chase - his white girlfriend died in crash  PORTSMOUTH,
Va. (WAVY) -- Portsmouth police have filed charges in connection to
a deadly weekend crash that stemmed from a police chase. Officers
responded to a call about a domestic assault happening
inside of a car on Princeton Place on Dec. 8. A car being driven by
40-year-old Tony Bennett took off when officers arrived on
scene. Police said the chase ended when Bennett crashed.
A passenger in the car, 35-year-old Jeanne
Chop, died at the hospital. Bennett was hospitalized with
serious injuries following the crash. Police said that Bennett faces
several charges in connection to the incident: Felony homicide,
aggravated manslaughter, DUI, felony eluding, driving while revoked
-- 3rd or subsequent offense, no insurance, vehicle not registered
and no seat-belt. Police said Bennett had been previously wanted for

GA (CBS46) Police are searching for an armed suspect accused in a
series of robberies. On one occasion, he allegedly demanded an
elderly woman perform a sexual act upon him.The suspect, only described as a black male standing around 5'8" to six feet tall, is accused of robbing at least three food delivery drivers in the same Gwinnett County neighborhood. Police say he would call a restaurant, order food and then rob the delivery driver at gunpoint. One delivery driver didn't have any money and was allegedly assaulted by the suspect. Another incident involved a 73 year-old woman at her home in Snellville. Police say the suspect pushed his way inside of her home and demanded cash. When the victim told him she didn't have much money, he allegedly put a gun to the woman's head and demanded she perform a sex act upon him. Police say the woman did not comply and the suspect eventually performed the act on himself. A sketch of the suspect has been provided by the Gwinnett County Police Department. accused him of sexually assaulting her during a massage. Clinton
Corbert Stevenson, 46, runs Healing Hands Day Spa in
Hanover."The victim reported that Stevenson sexually assaulted her while she was receiving a massage. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the suspect was also conducting massages without a license." Stevenson was charged with felony object sexual penetration and unlawful massage. Two days after the incident, a post on Stevenson's Facebook page advertised his holiday specials. "Come in for a mind calming, body relieving and spirit soothing massage!" it read. "I’ve created some choices and packages to help you be able to do just that!" Stevenson was jailed at Pamunkey Regional and ordered held without bond. State records indicated Stevenson was twice before accused by women (once in 2017 and once in 2016) of unlawfully massaging their breasts. |

(CBS) — Police in University City say a woman was alleged
raped at gunpoint inside her own car after leaving a party early
Saturday. The alleged rape happened shortly after 4 a.m. on the 3100
block of Walnut Street. The victim had left a party and was looking
through her purse while inside of her car, police say. It was at
this point a man entered the vehicle with a gun and then raped her,
officials add.The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-years-old, with a goatee. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and had a large build according to police. He fled in an unknown direction after the assault and the victim called 911. Police are still investigating. |

Postal Service mail carrier was stabbed several times in the
face while delivering mail in West Orange on Monday. West Orange
Police say 41-year-old Medgyne Anglade attacked the
50-year-old man while he was delivering mail on his route around
4:30 p.m. Police say the mail carrier suffered several face
lacerations in the attack following a verbal altercation with
Anglade. Police do not know what type of sharp object was used in
the alleged attack since no knife was found at the scene. The victim
was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was treated and

An NYPD cop pleaded guilty to lying to the feds to protect a drug
trafficker and cooperator whom the cop was charged with handling.
Saed Rabah, 46, pleaded guilty to one count of
obstruction of justice in White Plains federal court for giving the
feds in September 2016 a telephone number for a cooperator which he
knew was obsolete. The 20-year cop also allegedly shared
profits from the man’s illegal sports-betting business — for which
he had helped attract bettors. He faces up to 20 years in
prison but could get a much lighter sentence of up to just over
three years. |

of trying to lure a minor to engage in sexual acts with him in Utah.Stoney Westmoreland, 48, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of enticing a minor by internet or text and dealing in materials harmful to a minor. Authorities said the investigation began when a suspect, who they said is Westmoreland, began chatting with a person he thought was a minor on an internet app used for dating and meeting people to engage in sexual activity. Authorities said he asked the person who he thought was 13 years old to engage in sex acts that included oral sex. During the chats, he sent pornographic images to the person he thought was a minor. The images included male genitalia and men having anal sex. He also asked the person he thought was 13 to send him nude photos. They said he planned to take the person back to his hotel room to engage in HOMOsexual activity. |

librarian Amber Clark. Ronald Seay, 56, was arrested less than twelve hours after the shooting occurred on charges of shooting into an occupied vehicle. Clark was shot and killed in the library parking lot Tuesday evening a little after 6pm, right after she had gotten off work. Police said they charged the suspect with homicide. Police said that the suspect lived within a few miles of the library. On Oct. 13, police had contact with the suspect at the North Natomas library when he caused a disturbance. Officers confirmed that Clark was at the library at that time working as a supervisor. Based on their investigation so far, police believe that the disturbance on Oct. 13 was the only contact Clark and Seay had. Officers also said that Seay was issued a no trespass order after the disturbance. Officers have recovered firearms in their investigation. They said the victim was shot multiple times and a handgun was used in the shooting. Hartwell man was arrested this week after police said he raped a
5-year-old girl. Irun Robinson, 21, was
arrested Tuesday in connection with the Nov. 14 incident,
investigators said. Court records indicate he may have recently been
released from prison at the time of the offense. In 2015 when
Robinson was just 18, he was convicted of breaking and entering and
failure to comply with a police order. He was sentenced to 22 months
in prison.In August 2016, he was sent to Volunteers of America to serve the remainder of his sentence, according to court documents. That October, police said he escaped from the facility. Robinson was recaptured and pleaded guilty to escape in March of this year. He was sentenced to nine months in prison. With credit for time served, he would have been due for release in November. out of the Dunkin’ Donuts, police said, but Levine grabbed him and

a drug deal. Austin police said Isaac Jerome Thomas Jr.,

in connection with the death of 26-year-old Joshua
Hardesty, found dead on Sept. 11 on East Parmer Lane.
Hardesty was shot several times and was found on the ground at an
apartment complex. Police said Hardesty was trying to sell
several pounds of marijuana to Thomas. Officials found
a handgun, a phone and a bag with large amounts of marijuana near
Hardesty's body in September, according to documents filed in court.
His dog waited by his body until animal control officials arrived at

Angeles police released footage on Tuesday showing the moments
leading up to officers' fatal shooting of a man during an
altercation in a gym locker room in Hollywood, but the video fails
to show the majority the struggle as both officers involved had left
their bodycams on the ground. Officials now say the man killed,
30-year-old Albert Ramon Dorsey, had gone to the 24 Hour
Fitness in The Dome Entertainment Centre at 6380 Sunset Blvd. the
day of the incident, Oct. 29, after being involved in two other
incidents there the previous two days.The day before the fatal shooting, Dorsey also attacked two security guards, one of them at the Hollywood gym and the other at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Exposition Park, according to LAPD Capt. Patricia Sandoval. Police released surveillance video from the parking garage beneath the gym, showing a man knocking a guard there flat on the ground, apparently without provocation, then casually walking away. The security guard was hospitalized as a result, officials said. Later that day, Dorsey was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at the Coliseum after assaulting another guard there, Sandoval said. A sexual battery was also reported at the 24 Hour Fitness two days before the shooting, on Oct. 27. Police now allege Dorsey was the perpetrator in that case. After about three minutes, a naked Dorsey begins dancing to the music still coming from his cellphone. The officers then begin attempting to handcuff him. According to LAPD, the female officer wound up pinned on the ground with Dorsey straddling her, repeatedly punching her in the face. That's when the male officer fatally shot Dorsey, Sandoval said. The crime happened on Monday night around 8:45 p.m. in Cumberland. An officer was already in the area patrolling at the time because of a recent rise in robberies in the area. When officers arrived at the store, they saw a man run towards the front of the business and grab a customer exiting the business. "It is our belief at this time that the victim who was shot and killed as a part of this robbery actually interrupted a robbery that was going on at the business itself," said Cumberland Police Chief Michael Crooke. The man took the customer into the parking lot, where he was being robbed. As officers approached the store, they heard gunshots from the parking lot, and the shooter ran from the scene Officers found the man lying on the ground and suffering from a gunshot wound. mayor facing up to 100 years in prison for embezzlement charges   JONESTOWN,
Miss. - The mayor of one Mississippi town could be facing 100 years
behind bars if convicted of embezzlement charges. Jonestown
Mayor Kenneth Lester was arrested Sunday after state
authorities said he embezzled residents’ water bill payments and a
city police firearm. According to the Mississippi Attorney
General’s Office, Lester was arrested by the Coahoma County
Sheriff’s Department after being indicted by a grand jury on five
counts of felony embezzlement. Four are related to the
accusations of stealing money from residents. The first indictment alleges that Lester took the money that residents paid for water bills and water line repairs and “converted it for his own use between July 2017 and August 2018.” In another indictment, Lester is accused of accepting a city-owned handgun from an employee before pawning it for cash while he was mayor. Lester was booked into the county jail and released on his own recognizance. arrested the teenager in connection to three

months at Dallas apartments. In those cases, police say he forced
his way into the apartments and sexually assaulted the residents.
Two sexual assaults happened a week apart in September in Far North
Dallas. The latest occurred on October 30 at the Wildflower
Apartments in Dallas. The teenager was also wanted in connection to
two sexual assaults in Bossier City, Louisiana earlier this year.When the 15-year-old was arrested, police were also investigating if there was a connection between the teenager and the capital murder of Maria Ezquerro at an apartment near the Galleria. On Monday, police received that confirmation. |

first-degree rape and three counts of first-degree sodomy. He’s
accused of raping a woman while she was unconscious and posting
online videos of the incident, and sexual encounters with other
women, without their knowledge, according to law enforcement
officials.The alleged sexual assault is said to have happened in 2015, when Serrano worked as an armed security guard in the Portland area, and the online postings are alleged to have taken place while Serrano was a jail deputy in Jefferson County. |

All six of the suspects lived in Newark in the same house with six children. They are accused of the systematic and coordinated beating of the child with a belt and fists. Prosecutors say the brutality didn't stop there. They also allegedly poured scalding water on him as a form of corporal punishment. |

in Alabama mall shooting captured by U.S. Marshals in Georgia  A
suspect in the Thanksgiving night shooting of an 18-year-old at the
Riverchase Galleria Mall in Hoover was arrested Thursday in Georgia.
The warrant was issued Wednesday for Erron Martez Dequan Brown,
20, in the shooting. He is charged with attempted murder in the
shooting of Brian Wilson,
the friend of Emantic “EJ”
Bradford Jr., 21, who was shot and killed by
police after Wilson was shot. His bond is set at $125,000. The
U.S. Marshals Service confirmed to AL.com Brown has been arrested in
South Fulton. Brown was quickly identified as a suspect in the Nov.
22 shooting of Brian Wilson. Authorities withheld his identity while

release surveillance video from deadly (BLACK-on-WHITE) stabbing DECATUR,
Ill. (WAND) - Decatur police are still looking for the person
responsible for a stabbing death earlier this year. Police say
it happened on Nov. 4 around 1:30 a.m. at the Woodmound Plaza. When
they arrived they found a victim with stab wounds. 22-year old Tobby
Buhs later died from his injuries. The suspect
in the case was a passenger in a black, or dark-colored Chevrolet
HHR 4-door passenger car. The vehicle had chrome wheels and chrome
door handles. Police say the suspect is described as a black male, average height, slender build with shoulder-length braids or dreadlocks. The suspect was described as having a gold adornment of some kind in his hair. Police are also looking for a witness in the case. They are described as a black male with a heavy build, wearing a light blue shirt. During the stabbing the witness and a black female left the Lucky Lounge and walked to the area where the stabbing happened. Killips is being held on a temporary bond of $100,000. Kenosha
County District Attorney Michael Graveley told a court commissioner
Monday that his office is awaiting test results from the state crime
laboratory before moving forward with homicide charges against Daniel
Vanderpool, 39, of Kenosha. For now, Vanderpool is charged with operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent for the theft of Killips’ car. Killips, 36, was found dead of stab wounds in his home at Wood Creek Apartments, 3113 15th St., on Nov. 30. According to the criminal complaint for the auto theft, Killips’ father asked police to do a welfare check because he had not been able to reach his son for eight days. The door to Killips’ apartment was deadbolted and his car was missing. Killips’ parents said the last time they had seen their son was Thanksgiving Day, when he had brought a (NEGRO) friend he introduced as “Cory” for the holiday. Police learned that Vanderpool used the name Cory on social media. Killips’ parents confirmed through a photo from a social media account that Vanderpool was the person who came to their home with Killips for Thanksgiving. Graveley told Court Commissioner Larry Keating that Vanderpool and Killips were seen together at a store at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. “That is the last time that the victim is ever seen alive to our knowledge,” Graveley said. At 4 a.m. the following day, Graveley said, Vanderpool pawned Killips’ phone and is seen in security video driving Killips’ Honda. Vanderpool was arrested after a standoff with police in Milwaukee last week. Graveley said Vanderpool stabbed himself in the abdomen “a half-dozen times” during that standoff. Graveley said, when he was arrested, Vanderpool had Killips’ credit card. “In addition, when he was taken into custody, there were a number of objects that appear to law enforcement to have had human blood on them,” Graveley said. - (Black-on-white) |

robbery (finally) executed in TX 25 years later...  HUNTSVILLE,
Texas — A Texas inmate was executed Tuesday evening for fatally
shooting a newlywed during a robbery more than 25 years ago. Alvin
Braziel Jr., 43, received lethal injection at the state
penitentiary in Huntsville for the 1993 slaying of 27-year-old Douglas
White, who was attacked as he and his wife walked on
a jogging trail. Asked by the warden if he had a final statement,
Braziel thanked supporters and apologized to the victim's
wife, Lora White. "I would like to apologize ... for
her husband dying at my hands," Braziel said from the death chamber
gurney. He also said he loved the White family and a person he named
but who was not present, then told the warden he was finished. As
the sedative pentobarbital began taking effect, he took a couple of
breaths, gasped, then snored loudly three times. The fourth snore
was noticeably less pronounced, and then all movement stopped.

St. Paul Man Raped Girlfriend’s Teenage Daughter MINNEAPOLIS
(WCCO) – A 26-year-old St. Paul man is accused of entering his
girlfriend’s home with his face covered and raping her teenage
daughter. Trevall Coleman, of St. Paul, is charged with one
count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, court documents filed
in Ramsey County show. According to a criminal complaint, the
17-year-old daughter of Coleman’s
girlfriend was raped in the early morning hours of
Nov. 30 in her home in St. Paul’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood. The
teenager called police immediately after the assault happened,
telling officers that she woke up to a man in her bedroom, who
physically and sexually assaulted her. She said that the man punched
her in the face and hit her with a box fan after she tried to fight
him off. |

suspect is his uncle, 50-year-old Scott Brack, who police
believe served as a getaway driver. |

brutally raped a woman in Prospect Park South in Brooklyn. The

Grounds. The NYPD says a 59-year-old woman was approached by a man
who put her in a chokehold and told her he had a knife and gun. He

assault her but was unable to do so. It was then that he
dragged her behind a bench and raped her. After the assault, the
suspect broke the window of the van and forced the victim inside
where he tried to sexually assault her once more. When he was
unable to do so, he stole $10 from her purse and told her to
get out of the van. He told her to leave and then he ran away
eastbound on Parkside Avenue. |

serving a family violence warrant at a Houston-area home and the
suspected gunman has been found dead inside the house. The Harris
County Sheriff's Office tweeted that one
deputy and two officers from the Texas Attorney General's Office
were wounded Tuesday afternoon. Tactical squad
officers later found the suspect, Daniel Trevino,
dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday,
Chief Deputy Edison Toquica said. Toquica says agents from the AG's
Fugitive Task Force and sheriff's investigators were serving a
warrant, at the threshold of a door, when the suspect began
shooting. Officers returned fire. Toquica says the warrant for
Trevino involved violation of a protective order. |
