Ala. — Police in Alabama say a man who was found driving with his
dead wife in the front seat of a stolen car is also being accused
of killing someone else.News outlets report 47-year-old Fred Sommerville was charged with capital murder in the death of his wife Lakresha Sommerville and Bruce Cosman. Aliceville Police Chief Tonnie Jones says Sommerville was fleeing from authorities Friday in a stolen car before officers fired at him. Police found his wife, who'd been dead for several hours. She was reported missing Thursday by her mother. Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely says Cosman left his home Thursday to investigate a noise when he was killed. Evidence puts Sommerville inside Cosman's home. Investigators don't believe Sommerville knew Cosman. - (Black-on-white) |

Fred Sommerville is also a suspect in the Thursday night killing of Bruce Cosman, 74, of Ardmore, Alabama. The News Courier in Athens reported that Cosman and his wife were inside their home around 7:30 p.m. Thursday when they heard suspicious noises outside. Cosman went outside to investigate the noises and his wife heard gunshots. According to the newspaper, Cosman was shot multiple times, dying in the yard. |

searching for (black) man charged in a deadly hit-and-run
killing of a young (White) man  Authorities
have charged a man in connection to a Roseville crash that left one
person dead, but are asking for the public's help in finding him.A criminal complaint states Daniel Alexander Jennings faces one count of failure to stop after a fatal traffic collision. According to the complaint, officers were called around 2 a.m. on July 22 on a report of two people fighting in a parking lot near a Raddison Hotel. When police arrived, they found the body of a man who suffered fatal injuries. The complaint said it appeared the man had been dragged. That man has been identified as 23-year-old Michael James Strong. A woman at the scene said Strong was her boyfriend and that they had an argument. The complaint says as they parted ways, the man had made suicidal comments. A semi driver who witnessed the event said he was traveling north on Cleveland Avenue and was turning into a parking lot when he saw a man lying in the road. The semi driver said he then saw a vehicle traveling south on Cleveland Avenue at a high rate of speed. The semi driver told officers he blew his horn at the vehicle to get the driver's attention, however, the vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed, striking the man in the road. Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle at a Motel 6 in Roseville. The complaint says officers spoke to a man, who admitted to being a passenger in the vehicle and identified the driver as Jennings. Police later received a call from Jennings, who admitted he was driving the vehicle when he struck Strong, according to the complaint. Jennings said he stopped and attempted to speak to the police. The complaint said Jennings agreed to come to the police station and give a statement but never appeared. Wednesday afternoon, Strong's family pleaded for the driver to turn himself in. "He ran over my brother and left without speaking to proper authorities," said Justice Strong, Michael's sister. "I wouldn't want that to anybody else. I buried my brother and that's a very hard feeling." He has been charged via warrant, but police are still looking for him and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Roseville Police. - (Black-on-white) |

Woman arrested, indicted for deadly 2017 hit-and-run that killed

Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police have arrested a woman in connection to
a deadly 2017 hit-and-run near Overton Square.Jail records show Joanna Goodfellow, 34, is facing charges for aggravated assault, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, tampering with and/or fabricating evidence and driving without a valid license. Investigators believe Goodfellow was behind the wheel of the car that killed Christopher Phillips near Overton Square in February 2017. Police say Phillips was crossing the street at Madison and Morrison when a Ford Mustang hit him and kept driving. Investigators conducted searches of Goodfellow’s father’s car dealership, It’s All Good Auto Sales, early in the investigation in search of the car or other evidence. A civil suit filed in 2018 claimed Goodfellow worked with accomplices to hide the vehicle, destroy evidence and mislead investigators. Goodfellow was indicted for the hit-and-run in October 2018 but was just arrested Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office. - (Black-on-white) |

Little Caesars manager all because he was unhappy with his pizza!

a new pizza he showed up at that Little Caesars even more upset.“I've been doing this for 12 years and not a day in my life, I've never had a customer lash out at me that bad, especially over a $5 pizza,” said Kelsi Beckwith. She still can't believe what happened to her earlier this month at the Livonia Little Caesars where she works as a manager. Police say Joseph Thorpe is the man who got so mad that his pizza had Italian seasoning on it - instead of parmesan - that he returned to the store and slapped Beckwith right across the face. “Threw his pizza on the counter, told me he was going to beat everyone's butt in the store,” she says. “I got my coworker to call the police because he was threatening everyone.” “I was getting ready to refund his money and, next think you know, I turned back towards him, he legit stepped into it, brought his hand back as far as he could and slapped the crap outta me,” she continued. 19-year-old son of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan was beaten
and robbed by two men as he delivered pizzas in a quiet
residential neighborhood off New Scotland Avenue late Wednesday
night.A police spokesman declined to identify the mayor's son, Jacob Sheehan, contending the department "does not identify crime victims." But he confirmed the details of the robbery and said no arrests have been made. Officer Steven Smith said the incident took place about 11 p.m. on Glenwood Street, while the mayor's son was delivering two pizzas to a residence near Fairview Avenue. "Two black males in their 20s, both wearing dark-colored clothing, jumped out of bushes and began to punch and kick the pizza delivery driver," Smith said. "They stole two pizzas and his money. The driver had some injuries to his face as a result of being punched, and refused medical attention." RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) — A man has been charged with murder in
connection to a woman who was found dead in her Sauk Rapids home
Saturday with four children
present.David Lee Williams, Jr. was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Crystal Bundy, who was found unresponsive and with multiple injuries early Saturday morning in her home. According to the complaint, police arrived to the home on the 1200 block of 1st Avenue North in Sauk Rapids just before 3 a.m. There, they found Williams, Jr. in bed next to Bundy, who was unconscious with visible bruises across her body and two black eyes, which appeared to be swollen shut. Upon further investigation, police found dried blood on the wall outside the bedroom and a dent in the drywall. An initial autopsy found Bundy endured traumatic injuries, including bleeding over the brain and bruising around her neck, indicative of strangulation. Her death was ruled a homicide by blunt force injuries and strangulation. The complaint states one of the children, a 7-year-old, told authorities that Williams called the children’s grandparents to pick them up because Bundy was experiencing “medical issues.” The complaint says the children’s grandparents told Williams they would not come to the home until he notified law enforcement. - (Black-on-white) |

notifying his partners that he was HIV positive.Rasheem Ikey Bodiford, 27, was sentenced Friday to 10 years in state prison, followed by five years of probation, for three felony counts of having sex with another person without notifying that person that he had HIV, according to a news release by State Attorney Bill Eddins. A penalty procedure hearing was held April 10 to determine whether Bodiford should be considered a danger to the public. Eddins noted it was the first time a penalty procedure hearing to determine the danger level of such offenses had ever been held in Escambia County and one of the first of its kind in Florida. |

Deputies located and arrested 40-year-old Billie Fenter on charges of annoying or molesting a child. However, he bailed out of jail on Monday. |

looking up the obituaries of their loved ones online and then
burglarizing the homes of the grieving family members while they
were attending the funerals. Latonia Shelecia Stewart, 26,
was arraigned this week on a slew of charges connected to six
different break-ins that were reported in Westchester between fall
2017 and spring 2018, according to prosecutors.Her indictment says she targeted people who were attending their spouse’s wake or funeral service. Stewart would look up the obituaries of the person who died and then track down where their loved ones lived — assuming they wouldn’t be home during the funeral, prosecutors allege. She would allegedly steal jewelry and other personal items from the residences, which were found ransacked by the relatives returning home from the burial service. Stewart allegedly broke windows and glass doors at some of the houses in order to get in. Prosecutors say she used a mallet, which authorities recovered in her car after arresting her. Stewart was attempting to break into the home of a dead person on May 1, 2018, when cops rolled up and caught her in the act, her indictment says. She allegedly had their obituary on her cellphone — and her baby in the back seat. |

Norma Ureiro and Bianey Garcia, the filmmakers, were recording video in Queens at 2:35 a.m. Saturday when they got into an argument with a man and a woman. property by offering to sell them a used bicycle — only to lock
them in a car and sexually abuse one of them after the other
escaped, police and sources said.The scary events unfolded on July 12 as the two girls, 9 and 11, were walking past the pervert’s home on Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick. That’s when Jose Bernard Perez, 70, approached and said he had a used bike to sell them, the sources said. He then invited them to come look at the bike. When they did, he forced them into a car and locked the doors, the sources said. The 9-year-old was able to escape and hide, but the older girl could not. Perez allegedly molested her, officials said. After the incident, one of the girls told her mom, who called police. Perez was arrested Sunday night around 7 p.m., police said. Perez was charged with sex abuse, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment for acts against the 11-year-old, police said. COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Two people have been charged in connection to
a deadly armed robbery that killed a father and son last weekend at
a Myrtle Beach area bingo hall.Derrick Rivera, 29, of Georgetown, is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Bradford Britton, 40, of Georgetown, is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of armed robbery. Britton was arrested in Georgetown Monday after officers, including those from Horry County, searched a home on South Kaminiski Street. He was also wanted on a fugitive warrant out of Texas for failure to appear on a narcotics charge. Investigators believe that Rivera fled from Horry County after the armed robbery. Authorities said he was located on Thursday by U.S. Marshals Task Force agents in Colleton County with the assistance of the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting happened on July 26 at Waccamaw Bingo Hall on Belle Terre Boulevard. The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 73-year-old Stephen “Steve” Johnson, Sr. and 46-year-old Stephen “Sparky” Johnson, Jr. The duo owned the bingo parlor. HEIGHTS, Ohio (FOX19 - A suspected gunman accused of chasing four
people in a Cincinnati neighborhood is captured on video saying “I
don’t like white people in my hood" just before firing
shots at them, court records state.But people who live in Kennedy Heights, where the shooting happened tell us he doesn’t live there and its usually a very peaceful place. “I’d never seen him before and i don’t know who he was friends with.” said a neighbor who asked to remain anonymous. And police say it all started because of a stolen car. On Wednesday, Detectives on this case confirmed that information and told us Devonta was not involved with the stolen car, but showed up here after the incident and started shooting. Devonta Allen, 18, is held at the Hamilton County jail on four counts of felonious assault after turning himself in. It all unfolded on Tyne Avenue in Kennedy Heights about 11: 15 a.m. on July 25, Cincinnati police wrote in court records. Bullets struck two
separate vehicles the victims were riding in, but no one was
hurt, police said. Prosecutors said in court a total of three
shots were fired.
One
of the victims is African-American and the other three are
white, according to a criminal complaint.
Police have not released
video of the shooting, because it’s considered evidence in the
case.
Neighbors tell us the
shooting happened in the 6200 block of Tyne Ave. After a fight
about a stolen car, shots were fired. A car in the area was hit
and someone drove off in it, leaving a trail of oil behind.
Allen gave a statement to
investigators admitting to shooting at the victims but stated
they had guns and fired at him first, police wrote in the court
record.
“This and other statements
made by Allen are inconsistent with the videotape evidence and
statements from the victims and witnesses,” the criminal

Ark. (WMC) - A West Memphis woman was sentenced to four decades in
prison Tuesday for throwing acid and blinding a man and his son.A Crittenden County jury convicted Toya Boston, 45, Friday on two counts of first-degree battery and one count of battery with a deadly weapon in the presence of a minor. Police say Boston broke into a back window at her ex-boyfriend’s home and threw sulfuric acid in his face when she found him sleeping on the couch. Boston’s ex-boyfriend’s son, who was 13 at the time tried to stop her, so police say she doused him with acid too. Prosecutor Scott Ellington says both were “horribly scarred.” Her ex-boyfriend was blinded and his son lost vision in one eye. Judge Randy Philhours sentenced Boston to 15 yeras in prison for each battery count and an additional 10 years for the deadly weapon charge. |

children, according to police.The Willoughby Hills Police Department said a 911 call came in from a female victim of a domestic violence incident on the sixth floor of Willoughby Hills Towers on Chardon Road at 5:18 p.m. on Sunday. Police said when EMS arrived on scene, they found two females with stab wounds and burns. An ambulance transported one victim to Hillcrest Hospital and the other was flown to MetroHealth Hospital from Richmond Heights Hospital, according to police. Investigators learned the caller and her sister were attacked by the sister’s boyfriend and the father of her sister’s three children who are 2, 4, and 5-years-old. Police identified him as 27-year-old Allen Adrian Crawford of Muskoka Avenue in Cleveland. According to police, Crawford allegedly entered their apartment with a handgun, tied their hands together with tape, stabbed them both and set them on fire. |

County ended with an officer injured in a crash. One of the suspects
involved is behind bars Monday afternoon. Police say it all started
Saturday morning when a vehicle was stolen on Jackson Avenue.
Minutes later, a pedestrian was robbed six blocks away. A police
pursuit started but that chase ended with a crash when a robbery
suspect slammed head-on into a police cruiser, according to
investigators. Three robberies occurred early Saturday morning,
including a car theft. Police from a number of departments joined
the pursuit. Police say the pursuit ended at Lexington and Pembroke
Avenues in East Lansdowne.Police say 17-year-old Zymir Cole was behind the wheel of a stolen car, trying to outrun officers from responding departments when investigators say Cole crashed head-on into an Upper Darby police cruiser operated by officer William Redheffer. “Probably at least 50-60 miles an hour, head-on,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said of the crash. “He took off and ran — both of them ran,” Chitwood said of the suspects. “He took off ran and subsequently the driver of the automobile — he’s the one who stole the automobile. Devin Segar, a man wanted in several violent crimes around
Baltimore. Police believe Segar may have fled to Miami, Florida, New
York, New Jersey or York, Pa. Segar, a suspect in an attempted
murder in Baltimore from July 2.At around 10:50 p.m. that night, a 33-year-old woman was shot in the back of the head inside her home in the 1000 block of Walker Avenue. After shooting the victim, the suspect grabbed a knife and attempted to stab her in the torso, police said. The victim was able to escape and get help. She identified Segar, 26, of the 2700 block of Edison Highway. A warrant is out for his arrest, charging him with first-degree attempted murder. Segar also has two open warrants, attempted kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred in February 2018 and a second open warrant for an armed carjacking and rape that happened in May 2018. |

prosecutors say he threatened to kill his family and “shoot up”
Haverford College. The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office
announced that 20-year-old Frank Wang was charged
with terroristic threats on Wednesday.Prosecutors say the Haverford Township Police Department received a tip on July 26 that Wang confided in another person that he had thoughts about killing his parents and shooting up the Haverford College campus. Wang used to be a student at Haverford College, according to officials. Police immediately launched an investigation, locating Wang and executing a search warrant at his home. 39, with two counts of murder.Two store employees were killed Tuesday morning in a shooting at a Walmart in Southaven, authorities said. Gibson-Jones, of Calumet City, allegedly met York and another man about 6:05 p.m. in a parking lot of an auto shop at 2500 Bernice Rd. and fired multiple shots at them, police said. York, 41, was struck in the head and pronounced dead at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond, Indiana, police said. She lived in Hobart. The Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled her death a homicide. The man was shot multiple times in the body and treated at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He was later released. Gibson-Jones’ criminal history in Cook County includes a 2018 weapons conviction. He was sentenced to five days of community service after being found guilty of carrying a weapon without a valid FOID card, according to county records. He also had a warrant issued for him in 2019 for fleeing and (sic) alluding police, according to records. I sometimes wonder if I were really worth a lot, why would someone so close to me hurt me in such a way?” she said shortly before her father, Bryan Johnson, 41, was sentenced to 25 years to life for the depraved crimes. “I can honestly say that I still do love my father despite what he has done to me,” she said in a calm, steady voice. The girl had lived with her grandparents while younger but longed to spend more time with her mother and father, she told a heartbroken courtroom. The young girl was just 8 years old when the physical and sexual abuse began. “After time I started to feel more and more hurt to the point where I felt nothing at all,” she recalled. “I was told I couldn’t live with my mother because she didn’t want me.” What she didn’t know at the time was that her mom wanted to see her but her father wouldn’t let her. The child didn’t initially go to the police because she didn’t want to put her dad in prison. But the abuse would become too much for her to bear, and she finally confided to an online religious advisor when she was 10. Johnson was eventually arrested. Johnson allegedly abused his stepdaughter from a prior relationship years before his own daughter moved in with him. raping a 14-year-old girl at
a home in West Palm Beach.Daryl Wiggles, 45, faces a charge of sexual battery by a custodian on a victim between the ages of 12-18. According to the arrest report, a woman came home on Sunday to find her three children outside in the front yard. The children told the woman that their 14-year-old sister was inside the home. The woman went inside and found the door to the master bedroom closed. She ultimately forced open the door and found Wiggles holding the door with one hand and trying to pull his pants up with the other. She also saw the 14-year-old on the bed, naked from the waist down. According to the report, the girl said, "He made me come in the room, he raped me, twice." According to the report, the girl said Wiggles told her to go inside and the other sisters to go outside. The girl initially said no, but when he told her again, she complied. Inside the bedroom, she said Wiggles told her to take her clothes off. When she said no, she said he slapped her in the face. She said she then took her clothes off and he raped her. At one point, the girl said one of the other children knocked on the door. Wiggles, with his pants around his waist, opened the door and yelled at the girl. The teen said Wiggles tried to have sex with her again just minutes before the woman came home and forced her way into the bedroom. Albany man charged with sexually assaulting, robbing woman ALBANY
– A 19-year-old Albany man is behind bars in the Albany County Jail.
He is facing charges of rape, kidnapping, robbery and burglary. “For reports that a woman was being taken to the ATM against her will,” said Albany Police Officer Steve Smith. The suspect was Quaraione Lomack. Police said during the investigation they learned prior to forcing the victim to the ATM, he attacked the woman at her home. “And at knife point sexually assaulted her,” said Smith. “He did not know the victim, but there are circumstances that I just can't discuss at this point.” Lomack is currently facing charges for allegedly raping a woman back in April in Schenectady. The DA said Lomack was then released on $30,000 bond. He said an Assistant District Attorney requested he be remanded, but it was denied by the judge. |

his mother in the city’s West Oak Lane section. Police announced the

Tenn. (WMC) - A Bartlett man was arrested after one
dog was found living in poor conditions and another two dogs
were found dead.Demetric Benson’s landlord checked on his home in July 2018 after Benson had not paid rent for several months. Once there, the landlord found two animal crates in the back yard. In one crate, he found the remains of a dog. In the other crate was a severely emaciated dog that had no food or water. Animal control was called in to take care of the surviving dog. The landlord also told police the house was abandoned and in disarray. After an eviction was granted, he returned to the home to find another dog crate inside. The remains of a third dog were found inside. Benson told police he was the owner of the dogs and had left the home in January 2018 because of health issues and unreliable transportation. Benson was arrested Monday, more than one year after the dogs were found. He is charged with three counts of animal cruelty. |

The body of a young woman missing from west Jefferson County for
more than a month was recovered early Monday from a Tuscaloosa
County well.Marka “Willoe” Watkins, 20, was reported missing June 15 by her grandmother. She had not been seen or heard from since then, and authorities believe she was murdered at the time of her disappearance and dumped in the well. On Sunday, according to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, investigators received a tip about the possible location of Watkins, said Capt. Kip Hart. Following up on the tip, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a vacant house with a well on the property at 10517 Will Walker Lane in Tuscaloosa County. With the assistance of Tuscaloosa County Road and Bridge Department, investigators excavated a large area and located a body at the bottom of the well. The body, Hart said, has been tentatively identified as Watkins. Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes and Jefferson County investigators were able to identify several people involved in the disappearance and death of Watkins. "We believe Watkins was at one of the suspect’s residence in the 20000 block of Tanya Dr. in Tuscaloosa County when she was assaulted and killed. The suspects then drove her to the address on Will Walker Lane to dispose of the body,'' Hart said. Authorities have charged Kendal Tyler Battles (white), 29, and Joseph Brandon Nevels (black), 20, with murder and abuse of a corpse. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible. Her mother, Miranda Michelle Lynch, was found dead in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor of a mobile home on Aug. 7, 2015. Police said she was held against her will for days and repeatedly beaten before she died of her injuries. The coroner’s office said her death was the result of blunt force trauma, and she also had a bone broken in her neck. Authorities at the time said she was killed by three female friends who wanted access to her boyfriend’s food stamps. Karen Kirby, Susan Otts and Tamara Giarrusso are charged with capital murder during a robbery in the death of Lynch. Watkins’ father also is dead. “She grew up hard, in a hard life, around a lot of drugs,” said Watkins’ cousin, Lori Hudgins. “When you are around that life it is easy to fall into it. She wanted to do better but she got involved with some bad people and she couldn’t get away from them,” Hudgins said. |

off when he heard her roommate, police said Saturday.“Everyone should know what happened,” the petite 21-year-old told The Post. “They should be aware.” The woman was walking home from a nearby 7-Eleven at around 1:45 a.m. when the man followed her into her building near Avenue A and East 12th Street. He forced his way into her fifth-floor apartment, tackling her to the floor. “I was screaming, ‘Help me, help me! God, f–king help me! Someone is attacking me!’ ” the woman said. He dragged her, trying to cover her mouth with his hands and plastic. “He did close the door [and] had his legs and arms around me. He was kind of covering me, kept telling me to shut up,” she said. “I had a moment when I was on the ground, I was like, ‘This is it. This is how I die. There’s no point in putting up a fight at this point,’ ” the woman recalled. “He was much bigger than me. I knew there was no way I could fight this guy off.” Then her roommate made a noise as she closed her bedroom door, startling the brute, who then immediately fled. “The second he bolted, that was when I escaped and I ran to her room and I banged on her door,” the woman said. The suspect is described as having a beard, a short Afro and a slim build. |

CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man will spend the rest of his life behind
bars after sexually abusing a disabled
family member.A Jackson County judge sentenced Ronald Davie, 63, to life in prison without parole on Monday. In May, a jury convicted Davie of sodomy and incest. According to court records, in April 2017, officers were sent to a home near West 101st Terrace and Jefferson Street in regard to a sodomy. When officers arrived on scene, the mother of the victim, stated that he told her he was sodomized by Davie. According to the court documents, the victim is mentally disabled and also has several health problems including diabetes, cerebral palsy and scoliosis. The mother stated she came home from work the day before and found the victim with his pants down around his ankles sitting on the couch. She then heard a door close in another room, then the front door open and close in which she started yelling for the victim to find out who was in the house. The victim then told her what happened. A forensic interview of the victim by the Child Protection Center revealed that the victim had been sodomized by Davie. Davie also has a previous sex offense from 1993. |

Okla. (KTUL) — Police say a second-degree robbery warrant has been
issued for a man who allegedly robbed some kids' lemonade stand last
month.Henry Cozart is accused of stealing money from the group of boys on June 18. The boys decided to set up a lemonade stand near East 36th Street North and North Garrison Avenue, after working to cut lawns to fund the stand. According to police, an unknown black male in a gold SUV with black wheels drove up to the boy's lemonade stand and asked them if they had change for $50. The boys then pulled out their bag of money, which contained about $100 and that's when the unknown (lowlife black) male grabbed the bag and fled eastbound on 36th Street North. |

Second (black) suspect charged in violent sex assault at
downtown condo building: police

second suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent sexual
assault at a downtown condo building. Toronto police have said that
the incident occurred at a condo building near Bathurst and King
streets at around 12:45 a.m. on July 10. A 19-year-old woman was
followed into the building's elevator by two men, according to
police.Police said one of the suspects tried to grab the teen’s cell phone and a struggle ensued. One of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and robbed the young woman after he wasn't able to wrest it away from her. Police said the woman was then violently dragged out of the elevator and sexually assaulted by both suspects in a nearby stairwell. The suspects then made their way to an underground parking garage and fled in a vehicle. On July 13, police announced that they arrested a suspect in the case. Shane Acton Codrington, 24, of Toronto has been charged with numerous offences, including two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and forcible confinement. On Wednesday, police said that they have now charged a second suspect in the case. Jevor Oshane Brown, 24, of Toronto was arrested on July 16. He has been charged with robbery with a firearm, forcible confinement, two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, assault, and gang sexual assault. CHESTER, Pa (CBS) — The Chester Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one man and left a teenager seriously injured. Officials say they received calls just after 11 p.m. Saturday for reports of shots fired on the 500 block of Rose Street. When officers arrived they found a large crowd gathered around a 17-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to an area hospital where he is in serious condition. The second victim, identified as 18-year-old Ramaj Burton was pronounced dead at the hospital.No arrests have been made. This was the ninth homicide in Chester so far in 2019. |

stabbed his father in an SUV on Friday near the park in the 3300
block of Northview Drive. Koroma's father then crashed into a fence,
where Koroma dragged his father's body into the park, investigators
believe. Police say they saw Koroma walking out of the park
following the killing. They say Koroma later admitted to stabbing
his father before the crash. He now faces charges of first and
second-degree murder. |

ANGELES (AP) — An off-duty Los Angeles police officer was shot and
killed at a Lincoln Heights taco stand early Saturday and
authorities are searching for a suspect.Officer Juan Diaz was out with his girlfriend and two other males when he was shot, according to an official who had been briefed on the investigation but was not authorized to speak publicly. Diaz was standing in line at the food truck with his girlfriend and two other males when he noticed a man vandalizing something nearby and approached him, the official said. The official did not know if Diaz identified himself as a police officer. The man left and a short time later returned with a group of other males and lifted up his shirt to display a handgun, the official said. The official added that Diaz and the others tried to get into a car to avoid violence but the man started shooting. Acting Police Chief Beatrice Girmala said a civilian flagged down a motorcycle officer at around 1 a.m. Saturday and reported shots fired. The officer found two men had been shot. Diaz died from his wounds and the other man was hospitalized in unknown condition. Police believe the gunman is a member of the Avenues gang, which is now the focus of the department's investigation, according to the official who was not authorized to speak publicly. |

Dad charged in death of twin babies he left in hot car 
The Rockland County dad who left his 1-year-old twins in the back of
his car in The Bronx for hours, killing them, is awaiting
arraignment on manslaughter charges early Saturday. Neighbors and a
friend defended the father of five, Juan Rodriguez,
39, as a good dad. The twins, whom another family friend
identified as Luna and
Phoenix, just celebrated their first birthday.Rodriguez also faces two counts each of criminally negligent homicide for leaving his infant twins in the back seat of his Honda Accord while he was inside James J. Peters VA Hospital in Kingsbridge, where he works as a social worker. The father of five told cops he parked at his job at 8 a.m. and only realized he left his kids behind once he drove off after work at about 4 p.m., police said. The babies weren’t breathing and were foaming at the mouth when EMS arrived. They were pronounced dead on scene. |
