Woman found alive one day after deadly North Little Rock Trailor
Park home invasion 
 NORTH
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A missing woman from North Little Rock has been
located and is safe. Further information about the motive for her
abduction is pending. When officers arrived on scene they located a
male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim was
transported to a local hospital where he has succumbed to his
injuries.Officers were advised that two black male suspects forced entry to the location and shot the male victim. The two male suspects then forced an adult white female from the residence and placed her into a small newer model car and left the scene. North Little Rock Police say Susan Lee Smith was abducted during a home invasion in which a man was shot and killed Saturday night. It happened in the 3500 block of East Washington. The (White) male victim has been identified as 54-year-old James Harold Griffin of North Little Rock. Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. North Little Rock Police Department responded to the Keller Mobile Home Park in reference to a shooting and a possible abduction. - (Black-on-white) |

car: report

Police released body cam footage of an officer being dragged by
suspect’s car that hit speeds of up to 60 mph, according to a report
on ClickOrlando.com.The report said OPD Officer Sean Murphy had pulled over Zavier Askew, 25, on May 9 near College Drive and Willie Mays Parkway east of downtown Orlando. The officer found remains of marijuana in the car and asked Askew to exit the vehicle. At one point, Askew runs back into the car and drives off with Office Murphy halfway out the car window. The body cam footage seen on ClickOrlando shows the moment Askew jums into the driver’s seat and races off with Murphy’s legs out the window. “Dude, you’re killing me. Stop, stop. This is attempted murder,” you can hear Officer Murphy’s voice saying in the video. The report said Askew hit another car on a dead-end road where the chase ended with Askew hitting another car and Officer Murphy nearly avoiding getting pinned. Askew was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer and other charges. He remains at the Orange County Jail. - (Most likely Black-on-white) |

Tucson officer accused of asking woman for sexual favors avoids
jail time TUCSON,
Ariz. - A Tucson police officer who was accused of asking a woman he
was investigating for sexual favors avoided time behind bars.In a Monday sentencing, Pima County Superior Court judge Javier Chon-Lopez sentenced Richard Deandre Daniel to three years of probation. Daniel pleaded guilty to attempted unlawful sexual conduct as a police officer. Daniel must participate in sex offender treatment but is not required to register as a sex offender. Daniel, a three-year veteran of the force, allegedly asked a woman he was investigating for sexual favors on Jan. 13. She had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, and she agreed, to avoid going to jail. According to TPD, Daniel was fired shortly after the accusations came to light. |

Rapper Charged With Pimping and Pandering O.C. Woman; Other
Victims Sought: DA
 Charges
have been filed in Orange County against a YouTube rapper suspected
of luring young women into a human trafficking circuit, and
investigators said Monday they are seeking possible additional
victims. Angel Ortiz Diamond, 31, of Los Angeles, has
been charged with one felony count each of pimping and pandering,
according to a news release from the Orange County District
Attorney's Office. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Authorities
arrested Diamond last Monday on suspicion of pimping and pandering
an 18-year-old woman from Orange County, authorities said. Diamond,
who goes by the rapper name Benjiboy Staccs, is alleged to
have posted "songs glorifying the pimping subculture" on YouTube,
the release read. |

say he stole computers valued at more than $500,000 from his
employer in Media. The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office
says 54-year-old Richard D. Webb Jr. then sold the stolen
computers on an internet platform.Authorities say Webb’s arrest last Thursday came at the conclusion of an investigation that began on May 30. While employed by Thompson Reuters in its information technology department, officials say Webb ordered 614 computers to be delivered to the company’s offices in Media. Charter School Principal Resigns After Being Charged in Deadly
Hit-and-Run  The
principal of a Philadelphia charter school resigned after being
arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run that occurred in
2017.Jovan Weaver, the 37-year-old principal of John Wister Elementary School, is charged with vehicular homicide, accidents involving death or personal injury and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence. The charges stem from a crash that occurred back on Dec. 26, 2017, in Philadelphia. Investigators said Weaver was driving a vehicle northbound at the intersection of City Avenue and 54th Street around 10 p.m. when he struck 58-year-old Anthony Rodgers as he was walking across. Weaver allegedly fled the scene and responding officers found Rodgers unconscious on the road. He was taken to Lankenau Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after. The unoccupied hit-and-run vehicle was later found on the 4600 block of North 19th Street, police said. |

New Jersey mom attacked two police
officers — and bit one of them three times — in front of her
child’s school after she refused to comply with new student drop-off
procedures, authorities said.Parona Brown, 40, of Hackensack was arrested and hit with charges including aggravated assault on a police officer by purposely causing bodily injury for the Monday morning incident. Cops say that Hackensack police officers were outside the Fairmount Elementary School that morning assisting school personnel with the new drop-off protocol. Brown refused to cooperate with the procedure and blocked a lane of traffic with her car, police said. Police Lt. Tina Cappadonna then ordered Brown out of her car after a license plate check of her vehicle revealed that the registration was expired. Brown ignored Cappadonna’s commands and did not move her car out of the street, authorities said. Cappadonna again ordered Brown out of the car and opened the driver’s door — and that, police say, is when Brown assaulted Cappadonna, biting her three times and puncturing the skin on her neck and arm. Police say Brown also punched Capt. Nicole Foley in the chest before being subdued by officers. Cappadonna was treated at an area hospital, while Foley refused medical attention. Brown also was charged with aggravated assault by attempting to cause bodily injury, obstruction of a governmental function and resisting arrest. She was released on a summons. |

MI – Four days before her 49th birthday, a Saginaw woman has been
charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of her
Buena Vista Township boyfriend.Saginaw County District Judge David D. Hoffman on the morning of Tuesday, June 11, arraigned Orlena N. Robinson on one count of open murder, which comprises both first- and second-degree murder. The judge entered a not-guilty plea on her behalf and denied granting her bond. The charge stems from the death of 65-year-old George Edward McDonald Jr. that occurred on Saturday, June 8. That evening, police and emergency services responded to McDonald’s house at 3090 S. 27th St. for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they found McDonald motionless and unresponsive with apparent stab wounds. After administering CPR, medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, police have said. month. Robert Codaryl Harrison, 30, was taken into

broke into a home and sexually assaulted a person in St. Charles
Friday. Police said 42-year-old Jason Carter entered a home

victim, who was asleep on a couch. Carter was found in front of the
house by arriving officers and identified at the scene by the
victim, police said. Police believe Carter and the victim know

charges. Cedric Johnson, 29, was

"very tough" 11-year-old boy fought off a trio of home invaders with
a machete, police said. After breaking into his home in North
Carolina, the raiders forced the youngster into a closet, the Orange
County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. A woman had knocked on the door as a man allegedly broke in through a nearby window and grabbed the homeowner’s pellet gun before they struck, it added. At this point the youth hit back. “The juvenile, who is a star baseball player on several area teams, left the closet and was able to gain access to a machete,” the sheriff’s office said. “He entered the living room behind the intruder, swung the machete, and struck the man in the back of the head.” The intruder then kicked the boy in the side of his head and his stomach, but fled with his group after noticing that he was bleeding. “Not only did this youngster thwart the larceny attempt, he created blood evidence that very well may lead to a conviction in this case,” Sheriff Charles Blackwood said. “This is [a] very tough kid who kept his wits about him,” he added. “At the same time, I want to reflect that this youngster, his family, and indeed this community, are very lucky this event did not have a tragic ending for the child.” Officers later arrested 19-year-old Jataveon Dashawn Hall, who reportedly remains in hospital with the injuries he sustained. - (Black-on-white) |

Nashville man arranged to meet 9-y/o for sexual encounter  DICKSON,
TN (WSMV) -- Dickson Police were alerted to a 23-year-old Nashville
man using SnapChat to communicate with
a 9-year-old girl, sexting with her, and arranging a
sexual encounter on June 9th.After Dickson Police examined the girl's cell phone, they found video sent to her from an individual from the user name Darian. Darian T. Helm made arrangements to meet for sex with who he thought was the 9-year-old, with a promise to bring her vanilla ice cream, at the parking lot of a bowling center in Dickson. When he arrived at the location, police stopped the vehicle after visually identifying him as the individual in the video. When the officer approached the vehicle, they saw a cup of ice cream in the cup holder. Helm admitted to the officer that he was the same Darian in the video sent to the little girl, and he was placed under arrest. He was charged in Dickson County General Sessions court with felony counts of human trafficking for sexual servitude, solicitation of a minor, and solicitation of sexual exploitation of minor. |

black arrested for 9mm hidden under drivers seat CHICO,
Calif. - Chico police arrested a man on for possession of a
concealed firearm after they were investigating reports of multiple
shots being fired across an apartment complex on Pomona Avenue at
1:45 a.m. on Wednesday. On Friday police said they are looking for
other suspects and more information about the shooting incident.
Police said they found evidence of shots fired, but did not find any
damage to buildings or people. During the investigation police
located a maroon vehicle near the intersection of Walnut St. and W.
3rd St. that had been observed leaving the area of the incident. One
suspect was pulled over in that vehicle about a mile away on 3rd St.
and Walnut St. Chico police ended up arresting 26-year-old John
Taylor on firearms charges. Police said they located a
9mm handgun under the driver's seat of the vehicle. |

Walton, who retired in the months ahead of his criminal trial in a bid to protect his pension, wants his job back but claims in newly filed court papers the NYPD won’t give him a chance. The former high-ranking cop claims he retired “under duress,” and legally should be allowed to withdraw his resignation, but in January the NYPD rejected his request, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court petition seeking reinstatement and back pay that Walton filed this week. |

million lawsuit in connection with officers' response to a
shoplifting call. A notice of claim, which is a precursor to a
lawsuit, was filed on Thursday morning. The documents claim that
Phoenix police officers engaged in police brutality and civil rights
violations. The claim said the incident happened on May 29 but
police said it was on May 27. According to the claim, Dravon
Ames and Iesha Harper, who is five months pregnant, didn't

Marcus Bailey was not expected to survive his injuries, but is now doing well in rehabilitation in Columbus. After issuing the sentence, Pearson looked over his shoulder and smirked with disapproval. On Dec. 15, Marcus Bailey and three of his friends were walking from the high school when three males in a vehicle pulled up next to the group. A verbal argument ensued between the groups, then Pearson grabbed the bat. While the 16-year-old attempted to walk away from the incident, Pearson struck him in the head, knocking him unconscious. Mrs. Bailey said her son’s entire left side of his brain was damaged, along with half of the right side of his brain and parts of the brain stem, she told Judge McNamara. He has had more than five surgeries, more than 150 staples in his head, half of his skull removed to be replaced by a 3-D acrylic skull, a shunt for hydrocephalus, and breathing and feeding tubes placed. This incident happened on March 7. Documents revealed the suspect, Byron Milton, frequently delivered the woman's mail. At some point, the woman told Milton to hold her packages because she was going out of town. When she came back home, she said Milton came to her apartment to check on her and then asked to use the restroom. She said yes. A short time later, he walked out of the restroom with his pants down and told the woman his groin was hurting. She told detectives she gave him some Salonpas patches and later asked him to leave. Court documents said Milton went back to the restroom and took a long time to come back out. man who has been convicted twice for sexual assaults and who is on

at least three women. HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police in High Point confirm they've arrested a man for multiple sexual assaults in a 24-hour span. The arrest and connection came during a hit-and-run investigation, police said in a news release. The investigation started on Wednesday, June 5 after officers responded to the 1200 block of E. Green Drive for a hit-and-run. While at the scene officers identified Tavio D Whitehead, 21, of High Point as the person leaving the scene of the crash. Officers said during their search for Whitehead they found a partially clothed woman who said she had been sexually assaulted by Whitehead. She was able to tell investigators where the assault happened. Officers said the woman had visible injuries and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center for treatment. Officers spotted Whitehead in the 900 block of Worth Street and after a foot chase they were able to take him into custody. They said he threw a North Carolina Driver's License and several debit and credit cards onto the roof of an apartment building while running from officers. The information on the cards and license were connected to the victim they had just interviewed. While processing him at the High Point Police Department, investigators say two other rape reports filed within 24 hours of the current incident were linked to Whitehead. Whitehead was placed under a $1 million secured bond for misdemeanor hit and run, resist/delay/obstruct and 1st Degree Forcible Sex Offense for the Wednesday crimes. |

(AP) -- A man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for plowing
his vehicle into Phoenix police officers.Marc Laquon Payne faced up to 54 years in prison for the September 2016 attack that left an officer with a broken leg, another with a concussion, and a third officer with minor injuries The attack came during an especially violent year for police officers nationwide, including separate deadly attacks in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Authorities say Payne sped across the store's parking lot where the officers who were there on another call were standing and slammed into the group. One officer was thrown over the front of Payne's vehicle, while another was pinned between a police SUV and Payne's vehicle. The third officer avoided direct impact and was involved in a physical confrontation with Payne after the suspect was removed from the vehicle. Police say Payne fought with officers, but he was taken into custody after one of the officers used a stun gun on him. Payne's vehicle also struck the front of the store, forcing an employee to jump out of the way. Not long after his arrest, Payne's lawyer asked a court for evaluations on whether his client was mentally fit to assist in his defense, saying Payne seemed to be having visual and audio hallucinations. Has Message For Philadelphia City Leaders After He Was Allegedly

(CBS) — The victim of a brazen attack in Old City is sharing his
story. Police are searching for a group of teenagers wanted in the
assault. The victim has a message not for his attackers, but for
city leaders.Rizzo Mertz says he doesn’t believe he was targeted due to his sexual orientation, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But this is actually the second time he’s been attacked in Philly, and he says something needs to be done to address the violence. It started out as a day full of good company and fun, celebrating Pride in Philadelphia. But for Mertz, that excitement ended in distress after he was ambushed by a group of teens early Monday morning. Mertz says the group of teens was “just roughhousing amongst each other. Nothing threatening, nothing that would make me pause and think this was any type of trouble ahead.” But trouble was ahead for Mertz at 4th and Chestnut Streets. “His fist connected right into the side of my head,” Mertz said. “One of the males decided to sucker punch me on the left side of my head.” And that’s when the other young men joined in on the attack. “While I was on the ground, they tried to wrestle my backpack off of me, which actually helped me get back up,” Mertz said. After a brief struggle, Mertz was able to get away with his backpack. Now, police are searching for the teens who Mertz says are responsible for the attack. “The only reason why I wrestled for my bookbag, because it was Pride Day, and my Pride flag was in that backpack,” Mertz said. Mertz was in the hospital for 10 hours. His jaw was fractured, and his forehead needed to be stitched. - (Black-on-white) |

30-year-old parolee was busted Monday for the rape of a
78-year-old woman in Queens over the weekend, police
said.Ryan Bayard is accused of breaking into the elderly woman’s home on 148th Avenue near 241st Street in the Rosedale neighborhood just after 6 a.m. Sunday and forcibly raping her in her bed, according to cops. The Queens man was charged with rape and criminal sexual act Monday afternoon, cops said. Bayard was released on parole on May 20 after serving less than three years in Riverview Correctional Facility on a robbery conviction, according to Department of Corrections records. Thirteen days later, he allegedly got into the elderly woman’s home, put a pillow over her face and forced himself on her, police sources said. Bayard has been arrested 11 times, all but two — one for robbery and another for criminal possession of a weapon from 2013 — are sealed, police sources said. |

Bronx co-ed has been charged with raping her
female roommate at Susquehanna University, police
said.Pratigya Thakur, a 19-year-old sophomore, was arrested Monday on charges of rape, indecent assault and harassment in connection with the alleged May 16 attack at the school in Selinsgrove, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Post. Thakur’s roommate reported the alleged rape to university officials May 29, then told cops June 6. She said both she and Thakur drank alcohol and smoked marijuana before the alleged attack, the arrest affidavit states. The roommate said she was singing and dancing inside their Hassinger Hall dorm room as she packed up her belongings ahead of a move into another university housing unit for the summer when she decided to lie down on Thakur’s bed because her own was covered with clothing and other possessions, the affidavit states. The roommate said she felt Thakur touch her but thought she was “just trying to move her” so the Bronx teen could also fall asleep in her bed, police said. The alleged victim told police she awoke to find Thakur “on top of her straddling her” before grabbing her hands and placing them on her roommate’s breasts. Thakur then started kissing her roommate, the alleged victim told police. “Victim reports trying to wiggle from being underneath Thakur, and Thakur stated, ‘What did you say? You want me to suck your nipple?” the arrest affidavit states. “Thakur then lifted victim’s sports bra and bit her nipple.” The victim said she tried to stop Thakur’s unwanted advances, putting her arms across her body, but she felt “very intoxicated and weak,” she told police. Thakur then asked her roommate why they hadn’t “done this before,” according to the arrest affidavit, before proceeding to slap the victim in the face and call her “b—h” and “slut.” Thakur also “kept hitting” her roommate in the face with her vagina, the victim told police. “Victim reports at this time she closed her eyes and tried to [be] somewhere else in her mind,” the arrest affidavit continued. The nightmarish assault kept going as Thakur grabbed her roommate’s hand and put it inside her vagina, the roommate said. Thakur also placed her fingers inside the victim’s vagina with such force that she scratched her roommate, causing her to bleed, the woman told police.

Fla. - A driver who was killed in a shootout with another man on a
busy Davie road Friday afternoon acted in self-defense, police said.Sgt. Mark Leone, a spokesman for the Davie Police Department, said Keith Byrne, 41, was on the phone with a friend while driving a utility truck on Flamingo Road when he accidentally cut off a blue BMW. When Byrne stopped at a red light on Eighth Street and rolled down the window to apologize, a passenger in the BMW got out, armed with a gun, and approached Byrne's truck, Leone said. The friend who was on the phone with Byrne throughout the ordeal heard Byrne say, "My bad," before the call was disconnected, Leone said. Byrne and the man in the BMW, later identified as Andre Sinclair Jr., 22, exchanged gunfire, Leone said. Byrne was shot in the chest and died at the scene, while Sinclair, who police said was in the BMW with his baby and his baby's mother, later died at Broward Health Medical Center. "We are in shock -- all of us. We are all just numb," Byrne's mother, Irene Colavolpe, said. "He was a wonderful son. He was a great guy." Relatives said Byrne was on the way to see his mother when the shooting occurred. Byrne's family told Local 10 News he leaves behind three children -- a 21-year-old son and two daughters, ages 19 and 17. They said he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Police said both drivers had concealed weapons permits; however, Sinclair was the primary aggressor. an East 82nd Street popular bar went to court for the first time
Monday afternoon.Jean Eyongegbe faces one count of murder in the shooting death of 43-year-old Jason Frazier of Fishers. The two got into a disagreement that escalated after being inside Drake’s. During his initial hearing for the deadly shooting in the parking, the suspect kept dropping his head crying. Eyongegbe, a native of Cameroon, appeared to have a look of disbelief on his face during the hearing. He barely spoke up to answer the questions from Marion County Superior Court Judge Barbara Crawford. When officers arrived at Drake's, they found Frazier on the ground shot and 23-year-old shooting suspect Jean Eyongegbe still on scene. Their confrontation reportedly started after they left from inside Drake's where customers play cornhole outside. According to people with Frazier, one of the two men said something about one of the women with Frazier. During witness interviews, court documents show one of Frazier's friends told investigators Frazier did not see the gun and ran towards Eyongegbe, and Eyongegbe shot Fraziewent back to the SUV and waited for police to arrive. The shooting suspect's friend who was part of the fight told investigators he heard a 'bam'. Eyongegbe told him he had shot the guy and that they should call 911.
