shoots, kills mechanic in argument over bill, police say
Police said his (colored) mother was with him at the time of the shooting and did not report it to police.
ST. LOUIS — A 17-year-old and his mother are facing charges after police said the 17-year-old shot and killed a mechanic in an argument over repair costs.
Isaiah Gholson, 17, was charged with murder and four other charges while Ranada Anthony, 39, was charged with failure to report a shooting and two other charges in connection with the Tuesday shooting death of Kerry Charley.
Police said Charley worked on cars out of his home on Prairie Avenue in north St. Louis. On Tuesday, Gholson and Anthony came to the home to get Gholson's BMW after getting some repairs done. Police said an argument about the price of the repairs broke out. Gholson and Anthony tried to take the car without paying, but Ghoulson eventually shot and killed Charley, according to charging documents.
Police said Gholson also shot Charley's girlfriend in the back as she ran away from the home. She survived the shooting, and police said she picked Gholson and Anthony out of photo lineups. Neither person reported the shooting to police. Officers said both have denied even being at the home, but Charley's records show he was working on the BMW registered to Anthony.
Gholson was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, failure to report a shooting and two counts of armed criminal action. He was not given bond. - (Black-on-white)
Deltona mother, (white) daughter shot in Deltona double
murder-suicide by mother's black boyfriend
DELTONA — A mother and daughter were shot to death in Deltona by the mother’s boyfriend who then apparently shot himself dead in an apparent murder-suicide discovered by deputies on Tuesday night, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies found the bodies of Nancy Russo Eads, 56, her daughter Lisa Ferraro, 32, and Richard Murray, 58, when they entered a house at 610 Nardello Drive about 9:33 p.m., according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Murray left a note apologizing to his two adult sons for what he did, Sheriff Mike Chitwood said.
The mother and daughter were believed to be talking about the legal process of evicting Murray when he got a gun and shot the women, Chitwood said. Chitwood described Murray as the mother’s longtime boyfriend.
The scene was discovered after the daughter’s husband grew concerned because he had been unable to contact his wife for more than four hours, the sheriff said. Deputies arrived and found the door to the home unlocked and the bodies inside.
He said they had not had any domestic violence calls to the house in the past 12 years. He said he believed that the Sheriff’s Office did have four calls to the house in 2011, but they were not related to domestic violence. - (Black-on-white)

suspends (rutting black affirmative action) economist Roland
Fryer following sexual harassment complaints
Harvard University on Wednesday suspended the prominent economist Roland G. Fryer Jr. for two years without pay and shut down his education research laboratory after an investigation found he engaged in unwelcome sexual conduct with multiple women in the lab.
The punishment derails the career of a scholar who, at 30, became the youngest African-American to receive tenure at Harvard. Fryer was also awarded a MacArthur “genius” grant in 2011 and the John Bates Clark Medal in 2015, given by the American Economic Association to the best American economist under
Now 42, he had been among the highest-paid employees at Harvard, earning $618,027, according to the university’s 2015 tax form, and his Education Innovation Laboratory, or EdLabs, had attracted funding from some of the biggest names in philanthropy, including the Broad, Pritzker, and Gates foundations.
His downfall came after multiple women alleged that Fryer discussed sex at work, sexualized female employees, and created a demeaning workplace at the lab for several years, according to an attorney representing a lab worker who filed a complaint.

officer busted for raping teen
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute a city correction officer accused of raping a teenage acquaintance, authorities said Wednesday.
Officials made the decision not to prosecute the case against 27-year-old Christopher Sierra after determining there was insufficient evidence to prove he “committed the crime charged beyond a reasonable doubt,” said spokeswoman Patrice O’Shaughnessy.
Sierra was arrested around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday for allegedly attacking the 19-year-old woman inside a Bronx apartment around 2:30 a.m. Monday, police said. The woman told cops Sierra raped and sexually assaulted her despite her repeatedly telling him “No” and trying to push him away, according to authorities. Police charged Sierra with rape and a criminal sex act, cops said.

Lauderdale Valero Gas Station Worker Fatally Shoots Robbery
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting near Fort Lauderdale.
olice say one man is dead after a robbery at a Valero gas station late Wednesday afternoon.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says a man robbed the gas station, located in the 2400 block of West Sunrise Boulevard.

The clerk didn’t stay on the ground long. He ran after them with a gun.
The clerk fired into the crooks get-a-way car.
One of them was dumped at a fire station in Hollywood with a gunshot wound. He did not survive. The other got away.
The gas station clerk is not facing any charges at this time. The investigation continues.

Jersey Authorities Arrest 4 (blacks), Break Up Major Fentanyl
and Heroin Production Mill
State authorities say they've broken up a major fentanyl and heroin production mill in northern New Jersey that's been linked to dozens of overdoses, including 33 deaths.
Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced Tuesday that four individuals have been charged in connection with the mill. He also says authorities seized about 70,000 individual doses of drugs along with four kilograms of suspected fentanyl and heroin in their takedown of the mill that was based in an Irvington apartment. Gurbir said the mill distributed its narcotics in wax folds stamped with the same brand names that have been linked to 93 overdoses and dozens of deaths.
Three of the alleged ring members face charges of maintaining a narcotics production facility and possessing heroin with intent to distribute, along with several other drug and weapons charges.
basketballer Chuck Person got involved in NCAA corruption
scandal because he’s broke: lawyers
The Rifleman could hit long-range jumpers — but apparently missed the mark when it came to his finances.
Lawyers for Chuck “The Rifleman” Person, who had a high-flying career in the NBA in the 1980s and ’90s, say in a new filing in Manhattan federal court that he took part in a college bribery scheme because he needed the dough to pay off debts.
Person has already pleaded guilty to taking bribes to encourage student-athletes to retain the services of a particular financial adviser.
The new court papers, which come ahead of his sentencing, suggest he was just too good-hearted to family and friends when it came to money. “Although tremendously talented and unfailingly altruistic, Chuck has always been terrible with money,” his lawyers said in a memo asking District Judge Loretta Preska for leniency when Person appears before her July 9 for sentencing.
“Having grown up dirt-poor, Chuck never learned to save or manage his finances,” the filing says.

An Ohio teen professed her devotion to a former special education teacher facing prison time for sex acts with her, saying she’s “completely in love” and never felt pressured into getting intimate.
The female student — who police in Montgomery said was 17 years old when she engaged in sex acts last summer with Jennifer Walsh, a 27-year-old former teacher at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati – told a judge that she never “felt forced or coerced” in the sexual relationship they had, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
“I know in my heart that I am completely in love with this woman, without a doubt,” the student told Hamilton County Judge Jody Luebbers, adding that their romance was “willing, on both ends.” For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Museum worker stole $350K from cash register: prosecutors
A brazen cashier at the Intrepid Museum pocketed more than $350,000 from cash registers while working at the famed decommissioned aircraft carrier, authorities charged Wednesday.
Ticket man Daniel Lee, 41, stole $367,090.97 over three years by reselling old tickets and keeping sight-seers’ entrance fees at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum Complex, according to a complaint filed in Manhattan criminal court.
Between March 2016 and July Fourth this year, Lee allegedly exploited a quirk in the museum’s computer system that allowed workers to print out passes from the day before in case a guest lost theirs.
Greek skull proves that Negroids and Aryans are different
The human skull that challenges the Out of Africa theory
This is the account of the discovery of a skull that has the potential to change what we know about human evolution, and a suppression and cover-up which followed.
In 1959, in an area called Chalkidiki in Petralona, Northern Greece, a shepherd came across a small opening to a cave, which became visible when a thick covering of snow finally melted. He gathered a group of villagers to help him clear the entrance so they could go inside and explore. They found a cave rich in stalactites and stalagmites. But they also found something surprising – a human skull embedded in the wall (later research also uncovered a huge number of fossils including pre-human species, animal hair, fossilized wood, and stone and bone tools).
The skull was given to the University of Thessaloniki in Greece by the President of the Petralona Community. The agreement was that once the research was done, a museum would be opened featuring the findings from the Petralona cave, and the skull would be returned to be displayed in the museum – something that never happened.
Dr Poulianos’ research showed that the Petralona man evolved separately in Europe and was not an ancestor of a species that came out of Africa. (more...)
Dr Poulianos’ findings contradicted conventional views regarding human evolution and his research was suppressed

Suspect arrested, 2 others sought in alleged hate-motivated
shooting of (white) Decatur man
A man who was arrested last month on unrelated charges now faces a murder charge in connection with an alleged hate-motivated shooting and robbery in DeKalb County. Joshua Cortez Ellis, 21, of College Park, was charged by DeKalb police in the June 4 homicide of Ronald Trey Peters, 28, Sgt. J.D. Spencer told AJC.com. shows black gang members gleefully opening fire in public
Shocking footage shows alleged Brooklyn gangbangers gleefully firing guns into the streets and reloading a weapon on a subway train.
The videos were released Tuesday by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as it announced a slew of charges against 21 alleged members of Folk Nation-affiliated gangs, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery and weapons possession.
“These defendants terrorized the streets of Brooklyn by opening fire on perceived rivals and recklessly firing their guns — including in broad daylight — endangering innocent bystanders,” said Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.
The fresh charges against accused members of the Super Rich Kids/Street Rich Kartel and Newkirk gangs relate to the slaying of an innocent 15-year-old boy named Rohan Levy in Flatbush in 2017 and a number of other attacks on rival crew members in Brooklyn.
Those charged include Zidon Clarke, 20, who was previously busted for killing Levy, and Walter Porter, 41, and his sons Khaysean, 21, and Keemari, 19, who allegedly were found driving a car with pistols used in that shooting and several others.
In one clip released by prosecutors Tuesday, Travis Laroc, now 17, is allegedly seen grinning as he loads a magazine with bullets on a subway train in December 2016, prosecutors said. He is then allegedly seen on surveillance footage hours later opening fire on a rival in the middle of a crosswalk on a commercial strip in Crown Heights. In another clip, a grinning Khalil Irving, now 18, is allegedly shown standing on a rooftop and firing a handgun into the air above other houses.
New Jersey Man Sentenced for Selling Deadly Crack-Fentanyl That
Killed 3, Others to Hospital
A New Jersey man who admitted to distributing fentanyl-laced crack cocaine that killed three people and sent numerous others to the hospital on a single day in 2017 has been sentenced to 13 years in state prison, Union County prosecutors announced Tuesday.
George Rayford, 39 and of Rahway, pleaded guilty in January to three counts of strict liability for a drug-induced death, a first-degree crime. He must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before the possibility of parole under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act.
Authorities say Rayford distributed the deadly quantities of drugs from his home on Dec. 22, 2017. They say two women and a man died that day after overdosing, while an unknown number of others also overdosed on the drugs that night, but survived, with several being revived by the overdose-reversing drug naloxone, according to prosecutors.

MODESTO -- Modesto police arrested a suspect in the murder of an adult book store clerk after a full-blown manhunt.
What might have been a run-of-the-mill armed robbery at the Liberty Books Adult Superstore on Kansas Avenue in Modesto took a different turn when the suspect opened fire on the clerk before taking money from the register.
When police arrived on the scene they found 38-year-old Cinnamon Eades on the floor behind the cash register bleeding from at least one gunshot wound. She died at an area hospital, according to the policed department.
Detectives were initially stumped but knew a violent criminal was on the loose.
“It felt like a who done it,” said Sharon Bear, spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department. “We were not sure if it was someone who was known to the victim. We didn’t know if it was a customer. As we gathered information, the sense of urgency also increased for us.” The big break in the case came when investigators learned the car the suspect was driving was apparently taken on a test drive from a used car lot. That’s what pointed them to 20-year-old Favian Ramirez of Modesto.

TRAITOROUS active-duty US Marines (1 HISPANIC) face “alien
smuggling” charges at the border
Two active-duty US Marines are facing federal charges for allegedly picking up a group of undocumented immigrants (ILLEGAL ALIENS) on July 3 near the border and driving them inland for a fee.
The case offers a window into America’s broader immigration issues, and reveals another unseen consequence of the Trump administration’s hardline policies. Immigration on the southern US border has been marked in recent years by an increase in individuals and families seeking asylum. They are primarily fleeing violence and other harsh conditions in Mexico and Central America. The price they are willing to pay to be smuggled over the border has stoked an underground economy near the border.
One of the suspects, identified in legal filings obtained by Quartz as Byron Darnell Law II, told US Border Patrol agents that he was an active duty US Marine stationed at California’s Camp Pendleton. Law was arrested by the Border Patrol minutes after picking up three Mexican nationals near Interstate 8 in Jacumba Hot Springs, California. Law, a lance corporal, was later confirmed to be a service member by the Marine Corps Times.
Law told agents he was contacted the night before by another Marine who was arrested with him, Lance Cpl. David Salazar-Quintero. Law said Salazar-Quintero asked him if he “was willing to make $1000 USD picking up an illegal alien,” according to court documents.
Man who fled country to dodge rape trial nabbed 30 years later
A man who fled to his native Guatemala while facing rape charges in Westchester County has been arrested 30 years later — after being spotted riding his bike to a deli.
Nelson Gustavo Caceres, 51, bolted while out on bail in 1989 to avoid his trial on charges he sexually assaulted a woman in Mount Kisco after she refused to go home with him, the Westchester County Police Department said Monday. He was convicted in absentia of first-degree attempted rape and sentenced in 1989 to five to 15 years in state prison.
Police believed the Guatemalan national returned to the Central American country to avoid jail — but a recent case review suggested he had returned to New York and was living in Mount Kisco.

A Canadian national sentenced to nine years in jail a month after he was convicted of sexually abusing children.
A high-profile Canadian aid worker has been sentenced to nine years and seven years in jail in Nepal, to be served concurrently, after being found guilty of sexually abusing two boys.
A court in the central Nepal district of Kavre on Monday also ordered Peter Dalglish to pay a fine of $9,112, more than a year after his arrest and a month after his conviction.
"The verdict sends an important message to humanitarian predators everywhere - if you prey on vulnerable children in Nepal, the Central Investigation Bureau will investigate and the courts will prosecute," said Lori Handrahan, a humanitarian expert who has written about the sector's failings.
"The criminal verdict opens a path for Dalglish's victims to sue for civil damages so that they may enjoy restorative justice and heal from the crimes committed against them," she told Al Jazeera. The sentencing comes amid fears that Nepal has become a target for foreign paedophiles acting under the cover of aid work or philanthropy.

human trafficking, revenge porn
Ed Buck, the California Democratic megadonor suspected in the deaths of two black men who suffered fatal crystal methamphetamine overdoses in his home 18 months apart, is now facing allegations of human trafficking and revenge porn, according to a new report.
The Daily Beast reported that the family of 26-year-old Gemmel Moore has made the new allegations as part of an ongoing civil case against Buck, who has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic Party candidates in California and is well known in LGBTQ political circles. Moore died of a methamphetamine overdose in July 2017. He was found naked on a mattress in Buck’s living room, which was littered with drug paraphernalia.
The complaint by Moore's family previously alleged that Buck injected Moore with crystal meth and required Moore to view “hardcore gay male pornography which played loudly on a large flatscreen television set,” while engaging in sex acts, according to the Beast. It also said Buck distributed a sexually explicit video recording of Moore.
The second man who died at Buck's West Hollywood apartment, 55-year-old Timothy Dean, also suffered a methamphetamine overdose, according to a report.

shooting of Ofc. Langsdorf admits he was at shooting scene
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A person of interest in the fatal shooting of a local police officer was booked in the St. Ann Jail Friday evening.
Kawynn Vincent Smith said he is the person of interest in the investigation of the fatal shooting of North County Cooperative Officer Michael Langsdorf.
The 58-year-old admitted he was outside Clay’s Wellston Food Market moments before Bonette Kymbrelle Meeks shot and killed Langsdorf on June 23. "I was in the car, but I did not know what was going on inside," Smith said. Smith said he was in the passenger seat with Meeks that afternoon. "I had found some checks. I gave them to [Meeks] and he wanted to go cash them," Smith said. "Was that a good check?" News 4's Venton Blandin asked. "No," Smith responded.
According to court documents, Smith has a history of writing bad checks dating back to the 1980s. Smith said he knew about the bad check Langsdorf was called to the store about. Meeks was trying to cash the check when he allegedly shot Langsdorf.
When asked why he gave the check to Meeks, Smith said, "Just stupid, I guess. Stupid on my part." - (Black-on-white)
murder suspect tells victim's father why he pulled trigger
BEREA, S.C. — The man accused of shooting a man inside an Upstate Walmart told the victim's father why he pulled the trigger. Greenville County deputies arrested Braylon Lamar Morris, 33, Friday following a fatal shooting inside a Walmart in Berea, South Carolina on White Horse Road. Morris is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. If convicted, he could serve up to 30 years in jail for murder, five for possession.
The coroner identified the victim as 45-year-old Michael Jason Deck. Mike Deck was in bond court Saturday morning. Deck told media he is the father of the victim, and that while he didn't often see his son, Jason was respectful. The judge allowed Morris to address Deck during the bond hearing.
Morris told Deck the reason he shot his son was because the victim introduced Morris to another person, and that third person "got him (Morris) (expletive) all the way up." The victim's father did not want to appear on camera, but told media after Saturday morning's bond hearing that he hates that his son "...was shot over what somebody else did."

ex-girlfriend at nightclub
A Brooklyn firefighter was convicted of choking his ex-girlfriend — a top FDNY lawyer — at a crowded nightclub, The Post has learned.
Bridget Hamblin testified at Ernest McCoy’s criminal trial that she “feared for her life” while the hulking firefighter strangled her with both hands at the Brooklyn Mirage. “He’s really big, and he was applying a lot of pressure. I was gasping for air,” she said. “I just thought he wanted to take my life, because he wouldn’t stop.”
Hamblin began dating McCoy after connecting on a dating app in October 2015, then met him in person at FDNY headquarters where they both worked — he was on light duty at the time, she said. McCoy was initially “charming,” but his ”bad temper” soon flared. At times, he would shame her for her white-collar career.
When the romance fizzled, Hamblin began receiving text messages from a woman she learned was the mother of his child.
Hamblin said she ran into McCoy on Sept. 3 at the Mirage, and confronted him about the texts. McCoy, who was with another woman, flew into a rage, and began choking Hamblin while pushing her toward the edge of the rooftop bar.
“People were trying to calm him down, and he said: You guys don’t understand; she has been disrespecting me for years,” Hamblin testified. He lurched at her a second time, dragged her down a stairwell by her neck, yanked off her wig and dangled it in the air, she said. McCoy told security guards he was a firefighter and flashed his badge. He then disappeared into the crowd. Police arrested him hours later.

then they got hit with backlash
(CNN)An Afrofuturist group says it reversed its decision to charge white people more for tickets to its Detroit festival than black and brown people because they received threats, an artist dropped out and a ticketing website threatened to unpublish their event.
The Eventbrite page for "AfroFuture Fest," hosted by Afrofuture Youth, advertised an "Early Bird POC Ticket" for $10 -- with POC meaning "people of color" -- and an "Early Bird NONPOC Ticket" for $20. The group defined "NONPOC" as white people.
News of the group's charging practices hit social media last week when rapper Tiny Jag said she was unknowingly added to the August event " but agreed to support and perform. Once the rapper caught wind of the prices, she said she was "triggered."
