MAN CHARGED WITH ASSASSINATION OF WHITE CHICAGO POLICE COMMANDER
Opening arguments are beginning Tuesday in the murder trial of Shomari Legghette, the man accused of shooting and killing Chicago Police Commander Paul Bauer.
Legghette, who allegedly shot Bauer multiple times in a stairwell near the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago, could face a life sentence if convicted in the case. Before opening arguments began Tuesday, a pair of motions made by defense attorneys were denied, including a motion to dismiss the case because of the “lack of a speedy trial” and a motion to change venue because of the publicity the case had generated.
Prosecutors allege that Legghette shot and killed Bauer in a stairwell near the Thompson Center in Feb. 2018. According to witnesses who have testified in pretrial hearings, police originally had tried to stop Legghette after he appeared to be urinating on a wall or pillar on Lower Wacker Drive.
Legghette declined to speak with officers and ran off. A short time later, Bauer responded to a radio call of a fleeing suspect and saw Legghette and tried to apprehend him. The two men began to struggle at the top of a stairwell near the Thompson Center and tumbled down to a landing, where Legghette allegedly shot and killed Bauer.
Legghette is expected to testify that he acted in self-defense, arguing that he did not know that Bauer was a Chicago police officer, according to the Chicago Tribune. He faces charges of first degree murder, armed violence and weapons charges in the case.

A man who sexually assaulted a dozen women has been sentenced to 12 consecutive life sentences, according to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. A Fulton County judge handed down 56-year-old Dandre Shabazz’s sentence Tuesday morning, the district attorney’s office confirmed to AJC.com.“Sir, you’re lucky we live in a civilized society,” said Fulton County Superior Court Judge Alford Dempsey, according to Channel 2 Action News. “True justice would be to put you in a room with your victims and turn them loose on you.”A jury convicted Shabazz on Wednesday after DNA evidence from previously untested rape kits linked him to the attacks. It was the second conviction in five days in Fulton County that involved a lack of previous rape kit testing. fight in Upper West Side home
The Upper West Side man stabbed to death allegedly by his wife? inside their apartment late Monday went on an intoxicated rampage through the building hours earlier, their superintendent said.
James Murray, 48, raised hell in the halls of his Amsterdam Avenue building in the afternoon, ringing bells on his neighbors’ doors, said super Rafael Fermin. He was very drunk, ringing all the doorbells in the apartment,” said Fermin, 51. “Ringing all the bells, trying to get someone to let him in.”
Murray’s frenzied efforts around 3:30 p.m. included trying to get into his own third-floor apartment. Fermin said he didn’t assist Murray because only Murray’s wife?, Tracy McCarter, is on the lease. When he saw the super coming, Murray “step[ped away],” Fermin said — but more chaos was to come that night. Around 9 p.m., Fermin’s daughter alerted him to screams for help echoing through the building near West 92nd Street, and he ran to find McCarter, 44, over her husband(?)’s bloodied body inside their apartment, the super recalled.
“She was screaming, ‘Come help or he is going to die!’ ” Fermin said. “She had towels on his chest trying to stop the bleeding. “He was [lying] facing up inside the apartment, behind the door,” continued the super. “The blood was covering the floor and she was screaming for help.” Murray was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital (formerly St. Luke’s).
MTA bus driver (from NIGERIA) accused of spitting on passenger
in Brooklyn speaks out
The MTA bus driver accused of spitting on a female passenger in Brooklyn Saturday says it was the passenger who kicked and spit on him first. "Looking back, I wish I would have just stayed on the bus," MTA bus driver Olusedun Alale told Eyewitness News. "But at that point, I don't know what happened."
Alale, 51, said he admits he made a mistake spitting on Sapphire Philip, a mother of two.
The married father from Nigeria, however, said the cellphone video only tells part of the story, saying he too was assaulted.
"I want to apologize to my daughter," he said. "I want to apologize to all my friends. I want to apologize to my friends because that's not the person I am." On Saturday afternoon, Alale was driving the B25 when Philip got on with her two kids and a new stroller.
Phillip said she didn't know how to collapse it, and in one photo, she appeared to be sitting in the back blocking the rear exit. Alale said he first made the announcement on the PA that all baby strollers had to be folded for other customers' safety. He said she didn't move.
Alale then called transit headquarters, and while on the line, he said she began assaulting him.
"She punched me multiple times in the head," he said. "She spat on my face and at that moment, I could not take it no more. I was confused, perplexed, shocked." Philip got off the bus and that's when the driver went after her.
Police responded to the incident, but both declined to press charges. The driver said at that point Philip told the officers what she had done. "I just regret getting in his face," she said. "I did get in his face. I regret doing that." Alale insists it was much more than that.

Accused anti-Semitic slapper Tiffany Harris was arraigned on felony hate crimes charges Monday in Brooklyn Supreme Court — but it still wasn’t enough to hold her.

arrests illegal alien immigrant accused of raping Brooklyn teen
after (pro-illegal-criminal) city cut him loose
An illegal immigrant accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Brooklyn was cut loose thanks to New York’s “sanctuary city” policy and the Brooklyn District Attorney — despite a request by immigration officials that he be detained.
Guatemalan national Miguel Federico Ajqui-Ajtzalam, 20, was arraigned Friday on a 20-count criminal complaint for allegedly raping the girl five times in 2018.
But Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez’s office didn’t ask the judge to set bail, and Criminal Court Judge Hilary Gingold agreed to let him go on supervised release.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement had issued a detainer asking the city to nevertheless keep Ajqui-Ajtzalam in custody because he is in the country illegally, but said the Big Apple did not comply due to its “sanctuary city” status.
ICE finally tracked Ajqui-Ajtzalam down Monday and took him into federal custody, but issued a furious rebuke of the city.

Supreme Court rules illegal immigrants can't be shielded from ID
A divided Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that illegal immigrants who use someone else's information when filling out tax forms for employment can face criminal charges, despite federal laws that liberal justices claim should prohibit such cases.
The Immigration Control and Reform Act (IRCA) makes it a federal crime to lie on the I-9 work authorization form, while limiting how the false information can be used. Federal law also says information "contained in" the I-9 cannot be used for law enforcement other than specified exceptions -- but the Supreme Court ruled that if workers use the same information in tax documents, they can face charges.

A young campaigner who has been hailed by climate sceptics as the right’s answer to Greta Thunberg has previously described a white nationalist who appeared to promote “white genocide” theories as one of her “inspirations”.
Naomi Seibt, a 19-year-old from Münster, Germany, who styles herself as a “climate realist”, has also had to deny she made remarks that could be seen as antisemitic following an attack on a synagogue last year.
Seibt has been described as the darling of climate change deniers and spoke at a small side event of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) – a high-profile annual meeting of rightwing activists in Washington that will also feature the US president, Donald Trump.
She has been called a young, fresh voice for “free markets and climate realism” for questioning the scientific consensus on the climate crisis, which she has called “ridiculous”.
“Today climate change science really is not science at all,” Seibt has said. “The goal [of climate scientists] is to shame humanity. Climate change alarmism at its very core is a despicably anti-human ideology and we are told to look down at our achievements with guilt, with shame and disgust, and not even to take into account the many major benefits we have achieved by using fossil fuels as our main energy source.”

Of Brutally Murdered (White) Portrero Hill Man Pleads To Keep
(Black) Killer Without Parole
SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) — Next month, a man convicted of a heinous murder more than 40 years ago will be eligible for parole. But the victim’s family says the mere possibility that could happen is a miscarriage of justice that has victimized the family for decades.
25-year-old Frank Carlson was with his wife Annette in their small house in Portrero Hill in San Francisco when an intruder broke in, tied him to a chair and beat him to death with a hammer and a wooden cutting board.
“…in what is probably one of the most horrific crimes scenes ever encountered by police,” said Carlson’s younger brother Eric at a news conference on Sunday. “After he was dead, he took my sister-in-law upstairs and raped her repeatedly for hours and hours.”
Then, leaving Annette for dead, the killer set fire to the house and left. Miraculously, she survived and a man named Angelo Pavageau, who lived nearby, was tried, convicted and sentenced to death plus 54 years.
But two years later, the (pro-minority-criminal) court struck down California’s death penalty and all condemned prisoners at the time were given life with the possibility of parole. At the time there was no such thing as a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
The victim’s brother, Eric, says because of this, every three years or so Annette Carlson and the family have had to appeal to the parole board to make sure Pavageau stays in prison.
“This experience shattered her beyond words and the process makes her live it over and over and over again,” said Eric Carlson.

(black) man charged in connection to the murder of his white
female sex partner
A Minneapolis man has been charged in connection to the murder of a 21-year-old mother in St. Paul's Union Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Court documents state 23-year-old Terrion Lamar Sherman has been charged with one count of second-degree murder in Ramsey County. Authorities identified the victim as Abigail Elise Simpson earlier Thursday.
Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, St. Paul police officers were sent to an apartment building located on the 300 block of Pierce Street on a report of a domestic disturbance, according to the criminal complaint. The 911 caller told police a man and woman were arguing and that it sounded as if it had become physical and very violent.
Upon arrival, officers were allowed inside the building by a tenant. Once they were upstairs, police heard a small child crying and a man, later identified as Sherman, yelling. Officers also said they heard stomping and they heard Sherman yell, "Stay down or I will kill you." Police announced themselves several times, but no one came to the door. The complaint states when officers heard the child stop crying, they breached the door in fear for the child's safety.
Officers entered the apartment and saw Sherman covered in blood and standing in the living room. Simpson was found lying face down on the floor, covered in blood and had "significant injuries" to her body. The boy was also located next to Simpson, with blood on his face, torso, pants and shoes. Officers found a knife near Simpson's body at the scene.
Sherman followed police commands and allowed himself to be taken into custody. However, while en route to the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center, Sherman broke out the back window of the squad car that was transporting him. Sherman told police he was on drugs, and medics responded shortly thereafter. Sherman was taken to Regions Hospital and made a statement to police about "hitting the dog" and "punching her head off."
The 23-year-old told investigators his nephew "became possessed as a dog," and then claimed Simpson told him "she was a guy." An argument followed, and Sherman claimed Simpson came at him with a knife, so he "punched her head approximately eight times against the cast iron radiator to defend himself."

Although police haven’t released details, the arrest seems to indicate the man may have either been involved in the graffiti himself or was trying to use it to defraud his car insurance company. Upon arrival, the owner, 35-year-old Trumaine Foster, showed officers two cars in his driveway that had been spray painted with racial slurs including the N-word and “Trump” written on one of the cars. The investigation culminated on Friday with the arrest of Foster. He was charged with insurance fraud and tampering with evidence, police reported.

An Uber driver was viciously attacked last month by a rowdy quintet he picked up outside a Queens jiggle joint — and he remained in a coma Saturday, authorities said.
The 56-year-old cabbie picked up three men and two women — one with pink hair — outside the Privileged Gentlemen’s Club on Queens Boulevard in Woodside at about 4:25 a.m. on Feb. 5, officials said. When the driver spotted the rowdy crew drinking booze during the ride, he told them to stop — but they refused and began squabbling with him instead during the ride to Manhattan, law enforcement sources said.
The fed-up driver pulled over on the northwest corner of East 62nd Street and 2nd Avenue, where the boozy group took the fight to the sidewalk, surveillance video released by cops shows. During the scuffle, one of the male passengers sucker-punched the driver, who The Post is not identifying, in the face, knocking him to the ground, according to police. Medics rushed the driver to Weill Cornell Medical Center with severe head trauma, where he was placed in a medically induced coma and listed in critical condition.

encased in concrete inside storage unit
A Colorado man was sentenced to 72 years in prison on Friday for his role in the death of his 7-year-old son who was found encased in concrete in a storage unit in December 2018. Pankey pleaded guilty in January to child abuse resulting in death and tampering with a deceased body after police found Caden’s body in December 2018 while investigating allegations of domestic violence leveled against him by his wife, Elisha Pankey.
Leland Pankey, 40, was handed out the maximum sentence possible after prosecutors were forced to drop a murder charge when authorities were unable to determine the cause of death for young Caden McWilliams who died sometime in July 2018. Court documents revealed that she allegedly told investigators that her husband kept their son in a dog kennel "a few days" before he died in July at a hotel where the family had been living.
An autopsy found signs that the boy was severely emaciated and evidence of injuries to his head, chest and limbs. Some of the injuries showed signs of healing, but authorities were not able to determine how he died. Elisha Pankey previously pleaded guilty to child abuse resulting in death under a plea deal that required her cooperation with prosecutors. She faces between 16 and 32 years in prison when she is sentenced in April. Authorities have not explained why the boy's last name differed from his parents.
Suspect in multiple Detroit-area killings dies after shooting
DETROIT – A career-criminal-turned-informant who police say killed six people in a crime spree that ended with him shooting himself in the head has died.
Detroit police said Kenyel Brown died Friday, four days after officers chased him down in a backyark in suburban Oak Park, where Brown had hopped fences to elude officers before ultimately turning a gun on himself. Officers heard a single gunshot, which ended their massive manhunt for Brown, whom police had linked to six deaths in six weeks. Police said the killings, which happened in January and February, were not random and involved drugs, money or both.
Brown also was wanted for two carjackings in Detroit, which occurred 19 minutes apart on Feb. 21. The next day, the crime spree ended with a sixth person killed. Brown's case has triggered controversy and finger-pointing as he allegedly carried out these crimes weeks after a federal judge released him back into society following a probation violation, rather than locking him back up.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is publicly shaming Chicago authorities, claiming that they released a Mexican citizen who later sexually assaulted a toddler at a fast food restaurant.

CATHOLIC Buffalo Diocese anticipates at least 400 HOMOSEXUAL
SODOMITE PRIEST abuse claims in bankruptcy
Buffalo Diocese officials revealed Friday in federal bankruptcy court that they expect more than 400 people to come forward with childhood sex abuse claims – a number that would give it the dubious distinction of having more victim claimants than any other U.S. diocese that has emerged from bankruptcy.
The diocese, awash with lawsuits alleging child sex abuse by priests, nuns and others, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday, marking another chapter in a scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church in Western New York since early 2018.
The filing put on hold 260 lawsuits filed against the diocese under the state’s Child Victims Act and stopped efforts by debtors to collect from the diocese.

York Bail reform: Sex offender freed after Orange County nursery
school playground arrest - Lets black child rapists free
NEW WINDSOR, Orange County (WABC) -- Police in New Windsor arrested a sex offender for allegedly trespassing at a nursery school, but he has since been freed under New York state's new bail reform law.
Authorities say 61-year-old Mark Edward Nelson, of Newburgh, entered the facility's fenced-in playground.
Two employees of the school and two children were exiting out of the side door to the playground when Nelson allegedly tried to approach them in the darkened area and make contact with them. The women and children then retreated to their vehicle, left the area and called the police. New Windsor police say that Nelson is a Level 3 sex offender in New York State. Level 3 is the most dangerous level.
In 1996, he was convicted of sexually assaulting two girls, ages 10 and 11. In this incident, Nelson was located and arrested for third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance under the new law that prevents him from being remanded to jail. "A level three offender, who has the most likelihood of reoffending, who had committed the most egregious crimes can lure and try to make contact with young children in a fenced-in area of a schoolyard, of a nursery schoolyard playground, we cannot have fallen any further as a society," Assemblyman Colin Schmitt said.

black) Miller shooter Anthony Ferrill had job as an electrician
at the Milwaukee Molson Coors plant for more than 20 years
The man who opened fire at the Molson Coors plant Wednesday, killing five co-workers and himself, had been involved in a long-running dispute with a co-worker that boiled over before he started shooting, according to a law enforcement source.
Anthony N. Ferrill, 51, was employed as an electrician for more than 20 years, about 17 of them at Molson Coors, according to sources and online employment records.
A co-worker who asked not to be identified for fear of being disciplined said Ferrill believed he was being discriminated against because he was African American, and that he frequently argued with at least one of the victims, a fellow electrician.
The co-worker said Ferrill frequently watched movies on his phone during the day, which the other electrician took issue with, and that the two accused each other of going into each others' offices and stealing tools or tampering with computer equipment.
About a year ago, the employee said, Ferrill started saying he believed Miller workers were coming into his home, bugging his computer and moving chairs around.
"I was: 'Are you serious, Anthony? What?' We all kind of joked about it, saying we should maybe get him an aluminum hat. Things just started getting weird. But he was dead serious about it," the co-worker said.
Neighbors said he was known to carry guns; some said he always carried a gun.

"Couple" indicted in murder of (WHITE female)
addiction recovery advocate found stabbed in park
Two men have been indicted on murder and related charges in the stabbing death of a 31-year-old woman, who was found in a Camden park last year. Luis Colon-Molina, 36, and Wilfredo Boulones-Cruz, 50, were also charged with felony murder, carjacking, weapons offenses and resisting arrest as part of the recent indictment.
Police found Hayley Steinberg’s body Dec. 2 in Farnham Park, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. She suffered from multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. Colon-Molina and Boulones-Cruz, who were dating and lived together, allegedly killed Steinberg Dec. 1 before taking her car and dumping her body in the park, according to court documents.
About an hour before her body was discovered, Delaware River Port Authority police found the car Steinberg used stopped on the Ben Franklin Bridge, authorities said. Officers found Colon-Molina and Boulnes-Cruz walking in the road, and the duo said they ran out of gas.
As officers helped push the car off the bridge, the pair took off running, according to the prosecutor’s office. They were soon arrested and officers discovered a large amount of blood in the vehicle. Investigators also recovered security camera footage that showed Steinberg pull up to the couple’s residence and left with both men, authorities said. Footage also showed the car at the park and leave a short time later.
In court papers, detectives said the men carried Steinberg’s purse and used her ATM card at a Chinese restaurant in North Philadelphia. - (Black-on-White)

McIntire is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder. He is set to appear in court Thursday morning around 9 a.m. During his court appearance on Thursday, Feb. 27, McIntire pleaded not guilty on the first degree murder charge. slain in St. Paul apartment; BLACK man charged
Authorities identified on Thursday the 21-year-old woman slain shortly after midnight Wednesday in her St. Paul apartment and charged a 23-year-old man with her murder.
Terrion L. Sherman was arrested at the residence in connection with the death of Abigail E. Simpson in the 300 block of N. Pierce Street and charged Thursday in Ramsey County District Court with second-degree intentional murder.
While en route to jail, Sherman broke out the back of the police squad car window and said he was on drugs, according to the criminal complaint. Medics interceded and took him to Regions Hospital for evaluation before he was jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.
Simpson suffered “a series of sharp-force injuries including stab and incision-type wounds” to her scalp, face, neck and lower extremities, the complaint read. A 2-year-old boy, identified by Sherman as his nephew, was next to Simpson’s body and had blood on his face, torso, pants and shoes, the complaint continued. Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sherman, of Fridley, told police investigators that his nephew “became possessed by a dog and told Sherman that [Simpson] was really a guy,” the complaint read. He added that Simpson also told him she was a man. He went on to claim that Simpson came at him with a knife, and he responded by slamming her head against a cast-iron radiator.
Sherman said he is prescribed medications but “does not need them, because he is not crazy,” according to the complaint. Also, contradicting what he said earlier while in the squad car, Sherman denied being on the influence of any other drugs at the time of the violence.

Former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh was sentenced to three years in federal prison Thursday.
It was just months ago she pleaded guilty to federal fraud, tax and conspiracy charges over a scheme involving sales of her self-published Healthy Holly children's books. Prosecutors had been seeking a five-year prison sentence for the 69-year-old Democrat who had served in Baltimore for decades. Pugh's lawyers had asked the judge for a more lenient prison sentence of one year and one day, noting that she is a first-time offender and she entered a guilty plea. She pleaded guilty in November to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud the government and two counts of tax evasion.
Florida hospital employee arrested for sucking elderly female
LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 23-year-old man who works as a "sitter" for a Florida hospital is facing charges after getting caught sucking a sleeping patient's toes, according to arrest records.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Strongsville priest accused of multiple child sex crimes will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service while he awaits trial on new federal charges prosecutors filed last week.
The Rev. Robert McWilliams agreed not to contest a request by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for him to stay in jail as his case is prosecuted during a hearing Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Parker. The 39 year old also agreed to waive a preliminary hearing, which means his case will now go to a federal grand jury.
McWilliams, who worked at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville, has been in jail since his Dec. 5 arrest. Federal prosecutors charged him last week with receiving or distributing child pornography, sexual exploitation of children and sex trafficking of a minor.
Federal prosecutors revealed last week that they also had evidence that McWilliams paid a 15-year-old boy in exchange for sex acts, with one encounter happening at a Red Roof Inn in Medina, according to the affidavit.

of South Mississippi (White female) teen by pack of five demonic
dark devil spawn revealed by doorbell camera, says family
BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The family of the 16-year-old girl who was murdered in her home Monday say their Ring doorbell shows the five suspects entering and leaving the house.
Madison Harris was shot in her grandparent’s Biloxi home on the afternoon of Feb. 24, 2020. Five teens were later charged with capital murder in her death.
James Waldeck, who is engaged to Madison’s grandmother and lives in the house where the murder took place, said he learned something was wrong when his Ring Doorbell app showed an ambulance at their home. According to him, the camera at the garage door revealed much more about what happened in his home.
“Madison was here with her very good friend Paul, and her dad was in the back yard raking leaves,” Waldeck said. “One girl came in, I saw on the Ring Doorbell about a half-hour before. And then, according to my Ring Doorbell, four of them charged in an unlocked door here at the carport. And within a matter of ten seconds, the shooting and screaming, and then them running out the door being chased by Paul, her friend, and then her dad.”
Madison had lived with in the house with Waldeck, her grandmother, and her dad for the last four years ever since her parents divorced.
Five teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17 were charged with capital murder in Madison’s death.
Waldeck said Madison considered some of those suspects friends. “They were in our house a number of different times, I thought as friends, yes,” Waldeck. “They just lived two or three houses down and across the street.” But Waldeck said something changed.
“We think they were involved in a burglary at the house two weeks ago,” Waldeck said. “Of course, the police were called and we were pressing charges against that first crime, and we’re afraid this may have been retaliation against us reporting their crime.” Waldeck said he thinks the teens came in with the plan to murder Madison. “Premeditation. Definitely. 'Cause the video doorbell lasts 15 seconds or 30 seconds for them to come in, shoot. You hear screaming, then everybody running out the door,” Waldeck said. - (Black-on-White)

man fatally beaten by BLACK adult relative of one of the black
kids blocking street basketballing - that victim yelled at
A Columbus man severely beaten Feb. 13 after scolding some neighborhood kids playing basketball in the street died in the hospital after he was taken off life support, authorities said.
Danny Jones, 62, died at Piedmont Columbus Regional at 2:46 p.m. Friday, said Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. “They took him off life support this morning,” Bryan said.
Police said Jones was driving on Charter Oaks Circle to his Wimbish Court home, in the neighborhood off Weems Road, when he came upon the children playing basketball, and berated them about blocking the street.
The kids reported this to their parents, and a suspect later identified as Darnel Lamar Piett, who is related to one of the players, went to Jones’ home around 5 p.m. and assaulted him, investigators said.
Jones was so seriously injured that he was hospitalized in intensive care with a fractured neck, Bryan said.
Jail records show Piett, 25, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. the following day, and booked into the Muscogee County Jail about 30 minutes later. He was charged with aggravated assault, battery with physical harm and criminal trespass. Piett had a Columbus Recorder’s Court hearing on Monday. His case was sent to Muscogee Superior Court. Police were deciding Friday whether to alter Piett’s charges. “We’re looking into this case being elevated to a higher charge,” said police Maj. J.D. Hawk. - (Black-on-White)
man sentenced to 40 years in prison for Sparks murder
RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- A Reno man must serve at least 15 years in prison before he's eligible for parole, after shooting a man in west Sparks in 2018, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office said Sunday in a statement.
Kareem Abdul Antwon Thomas Jr., 24, pleaded guilty to second degree murder and to robbery last November in Washoe District Court. Judge Barry Breslow sentenced him February 17, 2020 to up to 40 years in prison.
Prosecutors said on May 11, 2018, a woman who knew Thomas was driving him home because Thomas was too drunk when Thomas began punching her and struggled with her over two guns she had in her car. The car crashed and Thomas fled with the stolen guns, the district attorney’s office said.
On May 14, 2018, Thomas and a woman with him passed in front of a car in which Michael Frost, 31, was a passenger. It was at an apartment complex on Greenbrae Drive at Sullivan Lane. Thomas and his friend walked slowly so the driver of the car with Frost revved the engine, prompting Thomas to yell at Frost. The driver then passed Thomas and the woman with Thomas twice more while driving around the complex and the second time Thomas pulled out a gun and shot several rounds at the car, hitting Frost in the chest.
The gun used in the shooting was stolen three days earlier, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms recovered it in California in 2019. The second stolen gun has not been found, the district attorney’s office said. - (Black-on-White)
The Mysterious Cursing Psalms of the Bible
Hidden away within both Hebrew and Christian scriptures are certain verses that are far from what one would typically think of as keeping with the values of these religions. Here we find spiteful passages that have been specifically designed to lash out at enemies, typically those seen as blasphemous, wicked, cruel, sinful, unrepentant, or as oppressors, through the use of calling down God’s righteous wrath for all to see through disaster, calamity, misfortune, and straight up insidious curses. Called the Imprecatory Psalms, they can be found mentioned throughout the Bible, as well as in one form or other in other religious texts, and are utilized by those who seek to bring decisive divine retribution hurtling down upon one’s enemy, essentially the opposite of calling down God’s blessing. The most well-known such “cursing Psalm” in the Bible is perhaps the notorious Psalm 109, sometimes called “The Judas Psalm,” in particular Verse 8, often cited as containing one of the most venomous and vengeful curses of the Bible. It is invoked in extreme situations in which the most severe retribution is desired, and it reads in part:

"He comes back with a weapon. He is on top of me. There was blood everywhere. I was literally fighting for my life at that point"
ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis woman feels like the judicial system failed her, after she said her teenage neighbor attacked her and walked away free. Alicia Clarke said exactly a week ago she went for a quick run outside her south city home. When she came back, she noticed her shoes had been moved to a different spot and her cell phone was gone. From there, she used Find My iPhone to search for it. The location said it was on her property grid. She used her work phone to call it.
"I open my back door to call it and I hear it in my neighbor's backyard behind me," Clarke said.
Clarke said she hopped the fence to get it and jumped back over to her yard. Another neighbor yelled out to her and said, "Hey, I told him, 'I know you did this and I’m calling the police!'"
Clarke said that's when the 6-foot teen jumped the fence and tackled her.
"He knocked me down, pulling my hair, kicking," she recalled.
Before he ran off, she said he grabbed her personal cell phone again. She used her work phone to call police.
"I am on the phone with St. Louis police dispatch, making my way to my backdoor, when he comes back with a weapon. He is on top of me. There was blood everywhere. I was literally fighting for my life at that point."
Clarke said as he was on her back, he stabbed her in the head and face with a metal rod.
She was able to get the weapon out of his hand and ran inside. He ran away again, taking her second cell phone this time.
Police arrested the teen on charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and third-degree assault.
Clarke thought the fight was over. But when she went to juvenile court a few days later, she learned his case was dismissed.
"The most hurtful thing of all of this, is the dropped charges. That was much more hurtful than the physical assault," Clarke said.
A juvenile court official said a staff attorney dropped the case before even going to the judge. The courts weren't able to comment specifically on this incident, since it involves a juvenile. Clarke said she was told her accused attacker was found incompetent to aid in his own defense because he has an IQ of 49. - (Black-on-White)

Portland sex couple sentenced for murder of (black) Eugene
EUGENE — A Portland couple convicted of killing a 21-year-old Lane Community College student last year in a case of mistaken identity was sentenced Thursday in Lane County Circuit Court.
Regis Kindred, 30, who pleaded guilty last week to second-degree murder, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25 years, The Register-Guard reported. Kailee Von Foster, 29, was sentenced to over 6 years. She pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, acknowledging her role as the getaway driver in the May 4 murder of Alex Gradin.
Both defendants asked Gradin's family for forgiveness. Family members and friends of Gradin offered messages of forgiveness, but the statements were interwoven with palpable grief. Kindred, a member of the Rollin 60s gang, believed Gradin was a member of rival Hoover Gang when he saw Gradin crossing the University of Oregon parking lot behind Taylor’s Bar and Grill, where the shooting happened. The couple had been driving around looking for a Hoover gang member after leaving a strip club earlier that morning, prosecutors said.
Gradin was walking across the parking lot with friends and prosecutors say Kindred fired two shots. Von Foster then drove away. The couple was arrested months later in Portland.

fugly black convicted felon, police say
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A man was arrested Sunday after shooting another man during a robbery attempt, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department. The victim told police he was walking past Foster and acknowledged him by saying “what’s up dawg” in passing. Foster responded to the victim by telling him to empty his pockets.
After the man refused to empty his pockets and told Foster he had nothing to give him, Foster pulled out a gun, fired several shots and struck the man in the thigh, police said. The victim managed to get away while Foster fired additional shots but dropped his dog’s leash in the process, police said. Foster, a convicted felon, faces a long list of charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and aggravated assault, the report said.

immigrant charged with raping Maryland girl, 11
A man charged with raping an 11-year-old girl in Maryland was living in the United States illegally, authorities said.
Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca, 20, was arrested along with Ivan Reyes Lopez, 19, earlier this month at the high schools they attended in Montgomery County, Md., WJLA-TV reported. Both men are charged with second-degree rape.
Coreas-Salamanca, a citizen of El Salvador living in the U.S. illegally, faces additional charges of sexual abuse of a minor and a third-degree sexual offense.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) lodged a detainer for Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca, an unlawfully present Salvadoran national, with Montgomery County Detention Center on Feb. 14, following his arrest by Montgomery County Police for sex abuse of a minor and second-degree rape,” ICE spokeswoman Kaitlyn Pote said in a statement to the Daily Caller on Tuesday.
Coreas-Salamanca was arrested Feb. 13 at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring where he is enrolled and Lopez was taken into police custody at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Coreas-Salamanca is accused of exchange explicit text messages and photographs with the 11-year-old girl, in addition to arranging meetups for sexual encounters. Her father found the phone on Christmas Eve last year and called the police, the news station said.
"[The victim's father] described a text message where Suspect Coreas-Salamanca advised Victim A that she bit his penis the last time she performed fellatio," court documents state. "Suspect Coreas-Salamanca's purpose in sending the text message was to teach Victim A how to better perform fellatio."
