Man died at hands of black - trying to stop puppy's abuse. He
would have done it '100 times over,' fiancee says.![]() Robert
Wilson would have fought to save the life of an
animal he knew was being mistreated "100 times over," fiancee Sue
Hoskins said. Robert
Wilson, 37, was shot and killed Friday night in
Smyrna after attempting to stop the abuse of a Yorkshire Terrier
puppy outside his hotel room. A warrant has been issued for a
suspect in the shooting, who Smyrna police said remained at large
and considered armed and dangerous Monday afternoon. On Friday
night, Hoskins got a call from Wilson saying he could see a man who
was holding a puppy by the throat. “I dropped my phone and went
running out there to see Rob saying, ‘why are you doing that,’” she
said, “and the guy said it was his puppy and he just shot him.”
There were several witnesses in the area, according to police and
Hoskins. “All I could do was try to stop the bleeding,” Hoskins
said. She put pressure on the gunshot wound in Wilson’s chest. A
bystander also helped her put pressure on the wound, she said, but
she didn’t catch his name. He was a Bible scholar, his father said,
and could quote any scripture at any time. He worked at the Ashley
Home Furniture Distribution Center.“He was kind,” younger brother Matt Wilson said. Police arrived on the scene to find Wilson had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. Donavous Jerome Drennon, 35, was named in the criminal homicide warrant. A second man, still unidentified, was seen driving a "newer model" white Chevy Impala away from the scene. Drennen is also known as Slim or Slimm Body, according to SPD. Neither suspect is in custody at this time and should be considered armed and dangerous. - (Black-on-white) |

COUNTY, Ga. -- The 29-year-old mother called authorities to report
that her young daughter was "unresponsive" and "cold to the touch"
on July 24. Gwinnett County police arrived to the home on Paxton
Lane in unincorporated Lilburn and found the child dead. She was 2
years and 11 months old. She weighed 14 pounds, according to police.
Three-year-old girls typically weigh between 26 and 38 pounds,
according to growth charts from the CDC. Detectives interviewed the
mother, Devin SHAMEKA
Moon, who told them that her daughter, Reygan,
was born with medical issues which prevented her from gaining
weight. An autopsy found that Reygan's death was due to neglect. Malnutrition. No medical issues were found that would have led to Reygan's death, authorities stated. Authorities said malnutrition was only one of the ways in which Moon neglected her daughter. Investigators believe Devin Moon worked as a dancer at a local club. "During the investigation, detectives found that she had been leaving the child to go work basically overnight shifts on a regular basis," said Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Jake Smith. "So the [child] really was left at home alone for 10-12 hours most nights." |

feds just can’t hold on to this guy. Brooklyn prosecutors used the
wrong statute to charge a violent immigrant who humiliated three ICE

he infamously gave his ICE handlers the slip at JFK.Surveillance video caught the uncuffed criminal scampering past shops and around different floors before ducking out of employee-only doors to a yellow cab and freedom. Mbacke, who is in his early 30s, remained on the lam for three days before he was nabbed in a Starbucks in Chicago — after futilely trying to pass himself off as an immigrant from Ecuador named “Antonio.” He was brought back to New York City and charged with a misdemeanor, convicted and faced spending up to a year behind bars before being deported. |

Travis County jury found Meechaiel Criner guilty of capital
murder in the 2016 death of University of Texas student Haruka

District Judge David Wahlberg. Weiser’s father, Dr. Thomas Weiser,
addressed Criner from the witness stand and said, “what can a father
say to the one that killed his daughter?” Weiser, a medical doctor
in Portland, said he believes Criner would have continued to kill
and sexually assault women.“She was the first victim in what you hoped to be a long run of unsolved murders,” he said. Weiser said his daughter had not died in vain and had been telling her story through the various clues that investigators followed, beginning with black smoke emitting from a vacant building where Criner was found burning her belonings. “I think you messed with the wrong girl that night,” Weiser said. Weiser said the state parole board will need to build a new room to house all of the letters he writes encouraging them to keep Criner behind bars. Criner, 20, will be eligible for parole in 40 years. Weiser ended his statements telling Criner, “may God have mercy on your soul.” - (Black-on-white) |

(WCMH) -- A man indicted on kidnapping, rape and weapons charges is
out of jail, free on a personal recognizance bond. Now, it's
possible all charges against him could be dropped. Dwight Orr Jr.
is accused of raping 18-year-old Garon
Hall at gunpoint. Hall, who is the only witness in
the case, later committed suicide. "The case the State has, has been
substantially weakened," Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien
said. Without Hall's testimony, O'Brien said charges against Orr
might be dropped. "I don't want to comment on how we access it Tom,
simply because we're in the process of accessing where we're at
without the victim. Obviously, we understand our case in
substantially impaired without a victim in a sexual assault case,"
O'Brien said. Details of the case are spelled out in the four-page
indictment. On April 22, Hall says Orr raped him at gunpoint at
Orr's former home on Mountaineer Trail Court in Reynoldsburg. The night of the alleged attack, Hall and two of his friends went to Orr's house to party. "They were over there to get high," "They were playing video games and hanging out." Olmedo said her son stuck around after his friends left. "Garon said that's when he had a gun on him. He pulled the gun out, and he raped him at gunpoint," Olmedo claims. On June 29, he hanged himself. He died on July 3. - (Black-on-white) |

that finally led to police charging Kirkland with multiple murders
to keep him locked up for good.He was sentenced to life in prison for the women's murders and then sentenced to death for what he did to the girls. But the Ohio Supreme Court tossed out Kirkland's death sentence and ordered a re-sentencing due to statements made during closing arguments by Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters. Now, a new trial for the re-sentencing must occur so the decision whether Kirkland lives or dies can be made all over again. Deters, who is seeking the death penalty, began his opening statement by describing how Kirkland killed and burned his victims. He also raped most of them. Esme was a virgin, Deters told the jury Wednesday. When the girl was dead, Kirkland told police he propped her body up against a tree and stayed for two hours talking to her and apologizing, court records show. He burned her lower body in what he described to police was a "ritual" and walked off with her iPod and watch, court records show. |

Energy exec’s lawyer claims alleged sex assault was kinky sex
A
Filipino energy exec is on trial for choking, biting and sexually
abusing his much younger Korean
girlfriend on a New York holiday — but his lawyers
insist she only complained to cops because of “buyer’s remorse” over
her choice of beau. Manhattan prosecutor Hannah Yu told jurors that
37-year-old Terence Tang, who runs Tang International
Enterprises, showered his 24-year-old lover with gifts and
extravagant trips — but also hit her during their tumultuous
three-month courtship. The victim, who flew in from Korea for the
trial, testified Wednesday that he occasionally texted her on
WhatsApp that he wanted to bite her. |
