I haven't heard about any Iraqi attempt to change the American way of life to an Iraqi one, but I see many attempts by Mexicans to change the American way of life to a Mexican one. I haven't heard of any claims made by Iraqis that they own large parts of the United States. Not one. I have heard of many such claims on our land by Mexicans who call large parts of the southwest U.S. Aztlan. In fact, a recent Zogby International poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans think that the U.S. southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico. The poll also found that 57 percent of Mexicans believe that they have the RIGHT to enter the U.S. without U.S. permission. Many of these Mexicans who want to retake the southwest for Mexico, consider Los Angeles to be the capital of Aztlan. ![]() |
So, in light of all the above, what is President George Bush doing? Why, according to many news reports, he wants to attack Iraq. To get Americans ready to send their kids to kill and be killed, the administration is working overtime to demonize Iraq.

A guy named Hector Carreon who runs the La Voz de Aztlan web site, http://aztlan.net tells readers in a June 13 column on the site that under a new amendment to the Mexican federal electoral laws, Mexicans living in the U.S. will be able to go to voting booths set up in the U.S. to vote in Mexican elections. They will also, according to Carreon, be able to "send elected representatives to the Mexican lower house from their respective regions in Aztlan..." Remember, dear reader, "Aztlan" refers to the south west states of the United States, which many Mexicans claim is theirs. So, let me spell this out for you. Aztlan (south western United States) is going to send representatives to Mexico City to sit in their legislature. These representatives will then, no doubt, look for ways to help the people back home in their districts--IN THE FRIGGIN' UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! In other words, we're heading toward being governed from Mexico City. What would the Bush administration say if Iraq set up voting booths in the U.S. and Iraqis could send representatives to Baghdad? And what would President Bush say if Baghdad claimed that the south west U.S. belonged to Iraq? Mexico gets a pass on everything evil it does to the U.S. and Iraq can't do anything good in Bush's eyes. Now, Iraq may be a problem for some countries way over there where it is located, but it is not the real and present danger that we face as a nation, today. Mexico is. |
Hell, instead of using Iraq to distract Americans, as our nation is being taken over, why don't we just talk about attacking Lithunia or Greenland? You know, those other great evils in the world (and if they're not, the Bush propagandists can make many Americans think they are). Such talk should help keep Americans from seeing the real and present danger presented by Mexico, and we can probably invade those two countries with less loss of American life than would be the case if we invaded Iraq. |
