BLACK MAN CHARGED WITH ASSASSINATION OF WHITE CHICAGO POLICE COMMANDER
black suspectOpening arguments are beginning Tuesday in the murder trial of Shomari Legghette, the man accused of shooting and killing Chicago Police Commander Paul Bauer.

Legghette, who allegedly shot Bauer multiple times in a stairwell near the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago, could face a life sentence if convicted in the case. Before opening arguments began Tuesday, a pair of motions made by defense attorneys were denied, including a motion to dismiss the case because of the “lack of a speedy trial” and a motion to change venue because of the publicity the case had generated.

Prosecutors allege that Legghette shot and killed Bauer in a stairwell near the Thompson Center in Feb. 2018. According to witnesses who have testified in pretrial hearings, police originally had tried to stop Legghette after he appeared to be urinating on a wall or pillar on Lower Wacker Drive.

Legghette declined to speak with officers and ran off. A short time later, Bauer responded to a radio call of a fleeing suspect and saw Legghette and tried to apprehend him. The two men began to struggle at the top of a stairwell near the Thompson Center and tumbled down to a landing, where Legghette allegedly shot and killed Bauer.

Legghette is expected to testify that he acted in self-defense, arguing that he did not know that Bauer was a Chicago police officer, according to the Chicago Tribune. He faces charges of first degree murder, armed violence and weapons charges in the case.

Family Of Brutally Murdered (White) Portrero Hill Man Pleads To Keep (Black) Killer Without Parole
black suspectblack suspect SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) — Next month, a man convicted of a heinous murder more than 40 years ago will be eligible for parole. But the victim’s family says the mere possibility that could happen is a miscarriage of justice that has victimized the family for decades.

25-year-old Frank Carlson was with his wife Annette in their small house in Portrero Hill in San Francisco when an intruder broke in, tied him to a chair and beat him to death with a hammer and a wooden cutting board.

“…in what is probably one of the most horrific crimes scenes ever encountered by police,” said Carlson’s younger brother Eric at a news conference on Sunday. “After he was dead, he took my sister-in-law upstairs and raped her repeatedly for hours and hours.”

Then, leaving Annette for dead, the killer set fire to the house and left. Miraculously, she survived and a man named Angelo Pavageau, who lived nearby, was tried, convicted and sentenced to death plus 54 years.

But two years later, the (pro-minority-criminal) court struck down California’s death penalty and all condemned prisoners at the time were given life with the possibility of parole. At the time there was no such thing as a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

The victim’s brother, Eric, says because of this, every three years or so Annette Carlson and the family have had to appeal to the parole board to make sure Pavageau stays in prison.

“This experience shattered her beyond words and the process makes her live it over and over and over again,” said Eric Carlson.

23-year-old (black) man charged in connection to the murder of his white female sex partner
black suspectA Minneapolis man has been charged in connection to the murder of a 21-year-old mother in St. Paul's Union Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Court documents state 23-year-old Terrion Lamar Sherman has been charged with one count of second-degree murder in Ramsey County.  Authorities identified the victim as Abigail Elise Simpson earlier Thursday.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, St. Paul police officers were sent to an apartment building located on the 300 block of Pierce Street on a report of a domestic disturbance, according to the criminal complaint. The 911 caller told police a man and woman were arguing and that it sounded as if it had become physical and very violent.
Upon arrival, officers were allowed inside the building by a tenant. Once they were upstairs, police heard a small child crying and a man, later identified as Sherman, yelling. Officers also said they heard stomping and they heard Sherman yell, "Stay down or I will kill you." Police announced themselves several times, but no one came to the door. The complaint states when officers heard the child stop crying, they breached the door in fear for the child's safety.

Officers entered the apartment and saw Sherman covered in blood and standing in the living room. Simpson was found lying face down on the floor, covered in blood and had "significant injuries" to her body. The boy was also located next to Simpson, with blood on his face, torso, pants and shoes. Officers found a knife near Simpson's body at the scene.

Sherman followed police commands and allowed himself to be taken into custody. However, while en route to the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center, Sherman broke out the back window of the squad car that was transporting him. Sherman told police he was on drugs, and medics responded shortly thereafter. Sherman was taken to Regions Hospital and made a statement to police about "hitting the dog" and "punching her head off."

The 23-year-old told investigators his nephew "became possessed as a dog," and then claimed Simpson told him "she was a guy." An argument followed, and Sherman claimed Simpson came at him with a knife, so he "punched her head approximately eight times against the cast iron radiator to defend himself."

Paranoid black) Miller shooter Anthony Ferrill had job as an electrician at the Milwaukee Molson Coors plant for more than 20 years
black suspectThe man who opened fire at the Molson Coors plant Wednesday, killing five co-workers and himself, had been involved in a long-running dispute with a co-worker that boiled over before he started shooting, according to a law enforcement source.

black suspectAnthony N. Ferrill, 51, was employed as an electrician for more than 20 years, about 17 of them at Molson Coors, according to sources and online employment records.

A co-worker who asked not to be identified for fear of being disciplined said Ferrill believed he was being discriminated against because he was African American, and that he frequently argued with at least one of the victims, a fellow electrician.

The co-worker said Ferrill frequently watched movies on his phone during the day, which the other electrician took issue with, and that the two accused each other of going into each others' offices and stealing tools or tampering with computer equipment.

About a year ago, the employee said, Ferrill started saying he believed Miller workers were coming into his home, bugging his computer and moving chairs around.

"I was: 'Are you serious, Anthony? What?' We all kind of joked about it, saying we should maybe get him an aluminum hat. Things just started getting weird. But he was dead serious about it," the co-worker said.

Neighbors said he was known to carry guns; some said he always carried a gun.

Murder of South Mississippi (White female) teen by pack of five demonic dark devil spawn revealed by doorbell camera, says family
black suspectBILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The family of the 16-year-old girl who was murdered in her home Monday say their Ring doorbell shows the five suspects entering and leaving the house.

Madison Harris was shot in her grandparent’s Biloxi home on the afternoon of Feb. 24, 2020. Five teens were later charged with capital murder in her death.
James Waldeck, who is engaged to Madison’s grandmother and lives in the house where the murder took place, said he learned something was wrong when his Ring Doorbell app showed an ambulance at their home.  According to him, the camera at the garage door revealed much more about what happened in his home.
“Madison was here with her very good friend Paul, and her dad was in the back yard raking leaves,” Waldeck said. “One girl came in, I saw on the Ring Doorbell about a half-hour before. And then, according to my Ring Doorbell, four of them charged in an unlocked door here at the carport. And within a matter of ten seconds, the shooting and screaming, and then them running out the door being chased by Paul, her friend, and then her dad.”

Madison had lived with in the house with Waldeck, her grandmother, and her dad for the last four years ever since her parents divorced.

Five teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17 were charged with capital murder in Madison’s death.
Waldeck said Madison considered some of those suspects friends. “They were in our house a number of different times, I thought as friends, yes,” Waldeck. “They just lived two or three houses down and across the street.” But Waldeck said something changed.

“We think they were involved in a burglary at the house two weeks ago,” Waldeck said. “Of course, the police were called and we were pressing charges against that first crime, and we’re afraid this may have been retaliation against us reporting their crime.” Waldeck said he thinks the teens came in with the plan to murder Madison. “Premeditation. Definitely. 'Cause the video doorbell lasts 15 seconds or 30 seconds for them to come in, shoot. You hear screaming, then everybody running out the door,” Waldeck said. - (Black-on-White)

(black) Reno man sentenced to 40 years in prison for Sparks murder
black suspectRENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- A Reno man must serve at least 15 years in prison before he's eligible for parole, after shooting a man in west Sparks in 2018, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office said Sunday in a statement.

Kareem Abdul Antwon Thomas Jr., 24, pleaded guilty to second degree murder and to robbery last November in Washoe District Court. Judge Barry Breslow sentenced him February 17, 2020 to up to 40 years in prison.

Prosecutors said on May 11, 2018, a woman who knew Thomas was driving him home because Thomas was too drunk when Thomas began punching her and struggled with her over two guns she had in her car. The car crashed and Thomas fled with the stolen guns, the district attorney’s office said.

On May 14, 2018, Thomas and a woman with him passed in front of a car in which Michael Frost, 31, was a passenger. It was at an apartment complex on Greenbrae Drive at Sullivan Lane. Thomas and his friend walked slowly so the driver of the car with Frost revved the engine, prompting Thomas to yell at Frost. The driver then passed Thomas and the woman with Thomas twice more while driving around the complex and the second time Thomas pulled out a gun and shot several rounds at the car, hitting Frost in the chest.

The gun used in the shooting was stolen three days earlier, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms recovered it in California in 2019. The second stolen gun has not been found, the district attorney’s office said. - (Black-on-White)

black suspect   'I've been failed by the system' | Teen walks free after neighbor says he broke her nose, left her in bruises
black suspectblack suspectblack suspect "He comes back with a weapon. He is on top of me. There was blood everywhere. I was literally fighting for my life at that point"
ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis woman feels like the judicial system failed her, after she said her teenage neighbor attacked her and walked away free. Alicia Clarke said exactly a week ago she went for a quick run outside her south city home. When she came back, she noticed her shoes had been moved to a different spot and her cell phone was gone.   From there, she used Find My iPhone to search for it. The location said it was on her property grid. She used her work phone to call it.
"I open my back door to call it and I hear it in my neighbor's backyard behind me," Clarke said.
Clarke said she hopped the fence to get it and jumped back over to her yard. Another neighbor yelled out to her and said, "Hey, I told him, 'I know you did this and I’m calling the police!'"
Clarke said that's when the 6-foot teen jumped the fence and tackled her.
"He knocked me down, pulling my hair, kicking," she recalled.
Before he ran off, she said he grabbed her personal cell phone again. She used her work phone to call police.
"I am on the phone with St. Louis police dispatch, making my way to my backdoor, when he comes back with a weapon. He is on top of me. There was blood everywhere. I was literally fighting for my life at that point."

Clarke said as he was on her back, he stabbed her in the head and face with a metal rod.
She was able to get the weapon out of his hand and ran inside. He ran away again, taking her second cell phone this time.

Police arrested the teen on charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and third-degree assault.
Clarke thought the fight was over. But when she went to juvenile court a few days later, she learned his case was dismissed.
"The most hurtful thing of all of this, is the dropped charges. That was much more hurtful than the physical assault," Clarke said.
A juvenile court official said a staff attorney dropped the case before even going to the judge. The courts weren't able to comment specifically on this incident, since it involves a juvenile. Clarke said she was told her accused attacker was found incompetent to aid in his own defense because he has an IQ of 49. - (Black-on-White)

(black) Plainfield man loses appeal in brutal burglary of 82-year-old for $300
black suspect A Plainfield man convicted of robbing and torturing an elderly man for $300 has lost another appeal of his conviction.

Ronald Cherry, 33, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in 2011 for breaking into the residence of Kenneth Athey,  an 82-year-old man on West Eighth Street and attacking him.

He and two others tied the man to a chair and stabbed him, beat him in the head with a hammer, torched his genitals and chest, and then left the house with his credit cards and cash.
Cherry, in his most recent appeal, argued his attorneys at trial were ineffective. In 2014, he appealed to withdraw his guilty plea, which was denied. The crime, which occurred in 2008, was described by a police official as among the most heinous he's ever witnessed.     (black) Pensacola man charged with homicide, accused of attacking man on Mobile Highway
black suspectA Pensacola man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after authorities say he attacked a man and slammed his head into the asphalt, causing brain hemorrhaging that led to death.

Larry Raymond Moore, 27, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of 35-year-old Jeremy Beebe.

According to Moore's arrest report, Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies responded Feb. 2 to a report of a man down in the 3500 block of Mobile Highway. They found Beebe with lacerations to his face and bruising on his body and transported him to Baptist Hospital with injuries that were initially believed to be superficial. However, the next day, hospital staff informed law enforcement that Beebe had sustained life-threatening injuries and was diagnosed with a brain bleed.

On Feb. 7, Beebe succumbed to his injuries, according to the ECSO.  Before his death, Beebe told investigators he had been behind Brownsville Welding on Feb. 2 doing drugs with a group of men who became angry and punched him, the report stated.

The ECSO obtained surveillance footage from Brownsville Welding that showed Beebe walking across Mobile Highway in front of the business on Feb. 2 as a white Chevrolet pickup truck was parked a short distance away. Moore got out of the truck and spoke to Beebe before chasing Beebe onto the road, catching him and body slamming his head into the roadway, the report stated. "After body slamming Beebe, Moore proceeds to punch Beebe in the face two times causing Beebe’s head to hit the roadway with each punch," the report stated. Beebe was left in the road with oncoming traffic as Moore ran back to the truck.

Investigators also spoke to a witness who was in the pickup truck at the time of the incident. The witness explained he was at a construction job site in Milton on Feb. 2 when he received a text message from his girlfriend saying that a white man was in his backyard and possibly committing burglary.

The witness' residence was on Lee Street, approximately four blocks away from Brownsville Welding, and photos from his home surveillance system identified the man in the backyard as Beebe, the report stated.  The men in the truck found Beebe and again asked him what he had been doing in the backyard. According to the arrest report, Beebe then said he was sorry and threw his wallet on the ground.

The witness told investigators that a "random" black man then rode up on a bicycle and began to chase Beebe.

Milwaukee police release name of (White) officer shot, injured in exchange of gunfire with (black) man fleeing crash
black suspect Milwaukee police have identified an officer who was shot this week during an exchange of gunfire with a man running from a vehicle that had crashed during a police chase.

Officer Robert Parks, 32, was shot in the leg. His partner, Officer Adam Maritato, 33, was not injured, according to a Friday news release.

Major Artis, the 24-year-old man accused of shooting the officer, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound soon after the incident, police said.

Milwaukee police released the names and photos of the officers and Artis on Friday.

Artis' family has said they do not believe he would kill himself. A relative told the Journal Sentinel Friday his mother "hates that an officer got shot," but remains concerned because she has not been contacted by police, nor seen evidence showing Artis was the shooter.

(BLACK) Man who shot and killed (WHITE) Florida Highway Patrol trooper identified
black suspectMARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — The Martin County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who shot and killed a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on Wednesday as 28-year-old Franklin Reed III of Palm Bay in Central Florida.

FHP said Trooper Joseph Bullock was assisting Reed, who had a disabled vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Martin County, around 11:15 a.m.

Reed suddenly opened fire, killing Trooper Bullock, according to authorities. Witnesses said Reed was angry over having to pay to tow his car, and that's why he shot the 42-year-old trooper.

Reed has no criminal records in the state of Florida, according to the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement. There were no charges on record that would have made it illegal for Reed to own a firearm. Reed's prior contact with law enforcement is limited to a few traffic violations in Brevard county.
According to FHP, an off-duty Riviera Beach police officer, identified as Jemel Headings, was passing by the scene and engaged the suspect, fatally shooting him.  - (Black-on-white)

Accused (black vitaglio) (white girlfriend) killer’s profanity-laced courtroom tirade leads to $1 million bond
black suspectblack suspectnigger lover - killed by her niggerLOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A murder suspect appeared in court Friday morning, and his profane outburst didn’t do him any favors.

William Sloss, 34, is accused of killing Amanda Berry, whose body was found in the basement of a home on Virginia Avenue last week.

Just a few seconds after walking into his arraignment hearing, Sloss fell to the floor despite being held by several officers. And once he faced the judge, he greeted her with “**** you.” Over the next 90 seconds, Sloss mixed a series of swear words with silence. When asked if he was going to hire an attorney or if he needed a public defender, he said nothing. When asked if he was working, he remained quiet.
“Given his lengthy record of violent offenses, we will increase the bond to $1 million,” the judge said.
Sloss, who was arrested and booked into Metro Corrections on Thursday night, is charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.

DEMONIC EVIL BLACK Woman tried to shove (White) Red Line musician onto tracks before stabbing him: prosecutors
black suspect Barbara Johnson allegedly approached a street musician at the Jackson station and cut his arm with a knife during an argument. A woman with a history of mental illness allegedly attacked a street musician with a steak knife Tuesday on a downtown CTA platform, destroying his guitar and nearly pushing him onto the L tracks, prosecutors said in court Thursday.

Barbara Johnson, 38, faces two felony counts of aggravated battery and a misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property in connection to the stabbing at the Red Line platform at Jackson. Cook County Judge Susana Ortiz cited Johnson’s extensive felony background, which includes convictions for resisting arrest and battery to an officer, when denying her bail.
The attack began about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when Johnson, who did not know the performer, approached him and unplugged his guitar amplifier, prosecutors said. Johnson shoved him toward the tracks, nearly pushing him over the edge, and punched him several times, prosecutors said. He eventually got away, but she chased and stabbed him in the arm with a steak knife, prosecutors said. Johnson then threw his amplifier and guitar onto the tracks, prosecutors said. Chicago police said the 26-year-old performer was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition. Her public defender said she has a history of mental health illnesses, is a life-long Chicago resident and attends St. Sabina Church.

A woman who identified herself as the street performer’s sister told the Sun-Times, “The woman who stabbed him also destroyed his only means of work.” - (Black-on-white)

(black) Man sentenced to maximum 100 years in second degree murder, robbery cases
black suspectMARTINSBURG — A Martinsburg man was sentenced Monday to a maximum of 100 years in prison after a guilty plea to second degree murder and a four-count felony guilty verdict was returned by a Berkeley County in a separate case.

Alvin Deshaun Gilbert, 27, also known as Albert D. Gilbert, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, a lesser included offense of the indicted first-degree murder charge, in December after fatally shooting 26-year-old Corey Barkhammer on the evening of Feb. 3. Gilbert admitted to the shooting, but also alleged he was defending himself when the victim allegedly pulled a gun on him during a struggle.

However, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney C. Lydia Lehman told the court there was no evidence of a struggle or a gun on the victims person. Gilbert also told the court he went to the 405 S. Raleigh St. home and forced his way inside to talk to Barkhammer after he had allegedly ripped Gilbert off during a drug transaction. Witnesses told police a male, later identified as Gilbert, arrived at the home and began kicking the front door open before they heard a series of gunshots and Gilbert leaving the area.

While Gilbert admitted to being angry, he alleged he did not have his weapon pulled out when he forced his way into the home. However, he did admit to firing four or five shots during the altercation.

Two (blacks) arrested in late December shooting death of (White) Owasso man
black suspectblack suspectOwasso police arrested two people Monday in connection with the late December shooting death of a 21-year-old.

Devin Michael Wilson, 17, and Montre Laron Wilson, 24, are charged in Tulsa County District Court with first-degree murder in the death of Tyler Collins.

Collins died from a gunshot wound to his head in his apartment late Dec. 30. The Wilsons, who identified themselves as brothers, were arrested Monday in Skiatook and Tulsa, respectively, thanks to help from Skiatook police and the U.S. Marshals Violent Crimes Task Force, a news release states.

His Name Is Matthew Carter: White 17-Year-Old High School Senior in Louisiana Murdered in "Carjacking Gone Wrong"
by Two Black Teenagers (Aged 13 and 14) - report by
PAUL KERSEY

black suspectblack suspect "He was a senior in high school, with his whole life in front of him. He had aspirations, goals, and was filled with ambition.

He was murdered by two black teenagers, aged 13 and 14-years-old in a “robbery gone wrong.”

His name is Matthew Carter. He was a white senior in high school looking forward to graduating and going to college, but now he is dead. Murdered by two black teenagers in a shooting few outside of Louisiana will read or hear about.

What were you doing when you were 13 or 14 years old?
Seriously, what were you doing?
Take your time and think about it.
Now think about how these two black teenagers, aged 13 and 14, engaged in an attempted robbery (tried to steal Matthew’s car) and brutal murder of a white 17-year-old…
Obviously, races reversed, the national media would have journalists camped in Lafayette, breathlessly reporting about the insidious white supremacist attacking an innocent black body.
As it is, this is probably the only place you’ll read about it.

Rest in peace, Matthew."

black suspectRahmael Sal HoltBrian ShawTavon Jamere HarperPITTSBURGH (AP) —The mother of a man convicted in the shooting death of a Pennsylvania police officer has been convicted of helping him elude police in the days after the 2017 shooting.
Sherry Holt, 49, of Pittsburgh, was found guilty Thursday of hindering apprehension following a nonjury trial. She faces up to seven years in prison when she's sentenced April 23. Her son, Rahmael Sal Holt, was sentenced to death last year after he was convicted of first-degree murder in the slaying of New Kensington officer Brian Shaw.     (black) Man arrested for 19-year-old cold case murder
black suspectOMAHA, Neb. (FOX 42 KPTM) — The family of a man who was murdered 19 years ago is now getting justice.
Metro Area Fugitive Task Force arrested 51-year-old Christopher Martin Tuesday for first-degree murder.

On December 5, 2000, Omaha Police responded to 2907 Q Street after receiving a call of a person found lying on the ground in south Omaha. When they arrived officers found 35-year-old Todd Schumacher with multiple gunshot wounds. Schumacher was pronounced dead at the scene. Not able to make an arrest at the time, officers from the Omaha Police Homicide Unit said they classified the murder as a cold case.

Fast-forward to 2019, the victim's daughter Alyssa Schumacher, reached out to the Cold Case Squad and the case was reopened by Detective Dave Schneider. "After all these years, my dad will finally be able to rest in peace and our family will be able to rest a little better at night knowing that the person who did this is finally getting what he deserves," Schumacher said. According to the police, the Homicide Unit had enough evidence from investigating to get a felony arrest warrant for Martin.

ADOPTED (BLACK) Son Charged with Homicide in Shooting Deaths of (WHITE) Parents in Columbia County
black suspectORANGE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A mother and father were found shot to death inside their home in Columbia County.

Police say their shooter is the couple's 18-year-old adopted son, who called police afterward.

Shock and grief rocked a rural community near Millville after a husband and wife were found shot to death in their home.

The person charged with their murders, the couple's adoptive son, 18-year-old Carl Kressler.

Troopers were sent to the home on Hartman Hollow Road around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Court papers say Carl called 911 and told dispatchers that his parents were “gone."
Inside the home, troopers found the bodies of Flint and Sharon Kressler.

Brothers Donny and Randy Zimmerman live down the road from the Kressler's.
They have ties to the family through marriage.
“It's shocking. It's close to home and it's heartbreaking,” said Donny.
“I’ve known them all my life,” said Randy. “Good family, good family. I didn't know Carl well, just [see him] when's he's going by, that's it.” “They were very good parents, that I`m aware of,” said Donny.

Carl finally admitted to shooting his parents because, in part, they made disparaging remarks about their decision to adopt him.

Carl told investigators he tried to make it look like his parents were shot and killed during a burglary.
Police say Carl had disabled the security system and hid some of his mother’s jewelry.
After the shooting, police say carl left to toss the gun off a bridge into a river then returned home and made that call to police.
“It's just a terrible thing, just terrible,” said Randy. “Terrible, it's terrible. I don't know it's unheard of for this area.”
Carl Kressler was denied bail and is locked up at the Columbia County prison.

  •     (White female) Georgia cold case rape victim breaks silence after major breakthrough
black suspect COBB COUNTY, Ga - Advanced DNA technology led investigators to a major breakthrough in three rape cases from more than two decades ago.  The crimes may have been more than 20 years ago, but to the women who lived through the horror, it seems like yesterday.
"The worst day of my life happened 21 years ago," Nicole Ebbeskotte said.
It was 1999. Ebbeskotte was in her own Cobb County bedroom when she was raped by a stranger. Investigators were able to link one man to the rapes of Ebbeskotte and two other women in the same area near Windy Hill Road, but they didn't know who that man was. "That was what was frustrating that there was nobody on the other side of the DNA," said Ebbeskotte.
After the traumatic event, Ebbeskotte went into a career in law enforcement. She worked for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for seven years. "It wasn't to find the perpetrator, it was to help women so they didn't have to go through the same thing I did," she said.
She worked with legislators on new laws to help victims, all while her case grew cold.

That is until last year. With the help of a $10,000 federal grant, investigators used advanced genealogy testing and identified relatives of Williams. They built the genetic tree forward and it led them to 48-year-old Lorinzo Novoa Williams.
Investigators went to his home in Arkansas to gather more DNA and question him.
The next day, Williams died in an apparent suicide.   - (Black-on-white)
