(BLACK NIGERian AFRICAN INVADER) Texas man charged with murder of man, toddler left in car
Houston police found the baby in a vehicle hours after a woman reported her husband and son missing. Houston police have arrested and charged a suspect in the deadly shooting of a man and his two-year-old son who was found in a vehicle hours later. Bolanle Fadairo, 38, is charged with two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence in the 482nd State District Court. Officers responded to a shooting on the afternoon of September 20 in the parking lot of a business at 5501 El Camino Del Rey Street where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators later learned that Fadairo had met with the victim at this location. The two spoke briefly before Fadairo shot the victim, Houston police said. The victim tried to flee the scene but collapsed in the parking lot. Fadairo then entered the victimโs black Chevrolet Traverse and fled the scene, police said. [NNN forum post by The Bobster]

HISPANIC Arizona woman smuggled hundreds of illegal immigrants across border for $15K each: police
An Arizona woman stands accused of smuggling hundreds of illegal immigrants into the US after they coughed up as much as $15,000 a pop to get across the border, authorities said Sunday.
Tania Estudillo Hernandez, 24, allegedly smuggled between 80 and 100 migrants a month into the country for six months before she was arrested Friday. Hernandez was busted during a traffic stop while transporting a Guatemalan national, according to El Mirage, Ariz., police. Authorities were tipped off to the scheme when they received a report of a person being held for ransom at a house in the city. The caller said there were โmultiple people kidnapped including [the callerโs] husband,โ police said. The 10 migrants who fled while the traffic stop was underway have not been located GOT-A-WAYS. Hispanic Man arrested for unprovoked attack on Asian woman in San Francisco Chinatown
A man has been arrested for an unprovoked assault involving a 53-year-old Asian woman in San Franciscoโs Chinatown earlier this week.
Alejandro Garcia, 30, is accused of shoving the victim off the sidewalk on the 700 block of Jackson Street at around 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim fell and hit her head on the ground. PHILADELPHIA โ Three of the men accused in the South Street shooting that claimed the lives of three people, and injured another 11, appeared in court for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Nasir Jackson (alias Nahjee Whittington) and Namir Jones (alias Qaadir Dukes-Hill) were charged with murder after they were arrested in a days-long manhunt that ended in Virginia. Alexis Quinn and Kristopher Minners, both 22 years old, were among a total of 14 people struck when gunmen opened fire on South Street, and crowds began to flee. A third suspect, 18-year-old Quran Garner, was also arrested in connection to the shooting. His aggravated assault against law enforcement charges were withdrawn Wednesday due to lack of evidence. Authorities believe the deadly mass shooting happened when a fistfight between three men escalated into a gunfire. However, police claim the suspects were not involved in the deadly brawl and only decided to fire when they heard the gunfire erupt. Davey Blackburn testified that he got up around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, 2015, read his Bible, then went to the gym at about 6 a.m. He said he left the door unlocked because they only had one house key at the time and it was on his wife's key ring. Blackburn said he was at the gym for about an hour. He was on the phone with a friend when he came home, so he stayed in the driveway so his conversation didn't wake his pregnant wife or their toddler. She was unconscious and bleeding. He called 911. Taylor allegedly told his accomplices, "I smoked her." The defense says the evidence will show reasonable doubt over who had possession of cellphones and from where calls were made. Wilson's attorneys insisted during his August trial that he was justified to shoot in self-defense when the pickup truck's driver tried to run Wilson's car off the road during the summer of 2020. Prosecutors argued Wilson had no legal grounds for firing a handgun in traffic and could have escaped if he was being harassed by another driver. Superior Court Judge Ronnie Thompson rejected requests for leniency by Wilson's attorneys, who noted that he had no prior criminal record. The judge said Wilson will receive credit for the 20 months he already served in jail awaiting trial, news outlets reported. Defense attorneys acknowledged that Wilson fired the shot that killed Hutcheson, of Reidsville, on a bypass circling the southeast Georgia city of Statesboro the night of June 24, 2020. One of the bullets he fired pierced the truckโs rear window and struck Hutcheson in the head. She died after her friends rushed her to a hospital. Wilson turned himself in and surrendered his gun to police three days after the shooting. A 13-year-old boy was among three young people reported dead from fentanyl overdose in the same Texas city in the span of just 28 hours.
The fentanyl crisis in Wichita Falls, a city two hours away from Dallas, took the lives of the boy and two young adults over the weekend. One of the victims was Adam Daniel Sattler, a 21-year-old student at Midwestern State University, CBS reported. According to a statement from the Wichita Falls Police Department, officers arrived at an apartment at the Mustang Village Apartments located around 10.40am on Sunday to do a welfare check on Mr Sattler. He was found deceased inside the apartment. About an hour after responding to Mr Sattlerโs death, police found a 13-year-old teen dead from a suspected fentanyl overdose inside an apartment building on Tower Drive. And just a day earlier, 19-year-old Alize Mariah Anita Martinez was pronounced dead at her home on Grant Gill Lane shortly after 7am on Saturday, local news station CW39 reported. Switzerland's federal criminal court on Monday convicted a Swiss-Italian woman of attempted murder and ties to the banned radical group Islamic State over the stabbing of two women in a department store.
She was handed a nine-year prison sentence. Michael Palacios, 31, who allegedly grabbed an ax and trashed the Delancey Street fast-food joint in a fit early Friday, was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal-mischief and possession-of-weapons charges hours later and freed, the Manhattan District Attorneyโs Office said. Neither charge is eligible for bail under the stateโs lenient criminal-justice reforms. According to a criminal complaint filed in the case, Palacios slammed two tables and a plate-glass partition during the early-morning rampage. The former Democratic lawmaker arranged the meeting over text message, where he agreed to โtradeโ oxycodone pills in exchange for sexual conduct, according to prosecutors. Spencer was found to be in possession of two non-prescribed oxycodone pills during the sting operation that was conducted by Suffolk County police with the assistance of the DEAโs Long Island Heroin Task Force, officials said. Spencer, who moonlighted as a well-regarded doctor and ordained minister, also lied to police in a sworn statement months before the arrest, according to officials. He had filed a police complaint in July of 2020 claiming he was the innocent victim of a prostitution extortion scheme and wrote in a sworn statement to detectives: โI have not sought the services of prostitutes or call girls,โ prosecutors said. A Tribeca man admitted Friday he brutally beat and slashed his motherโs throat to get his hands on his inheritance.
Jared Eng, 25, pleaded guilty to one count of murder in Manhattan Supreme Court as part of a plea deal for the grisly murder of Paula Chin, 65, in January 2019. Eng viciously beat and slashed his mom โ whom he claimed had $11 million in the bank โ during a fight in an apartment they shared in Tribeca to try to speed up collecting his inheritance. The small town of Parkesburg has now become the center of an investigation into a man charged with raping a 13-year-old girl. Parkesburg is about an hour or so west of Philadelphia. The town of just about 4,000 people was surprised to hear about the incident. The Chester County District Attorney's Office says 31-year-old Ameer Sutton-Best volunteered at the Parkesburg Point Youth Center where he helped coach an all-boys basketball team. "The defendant volunteered to help coach basketball at an organization in Parkesburg that provides resources to some of the most vulnerable teens in the community," Deputy DA for child abuse unit, Erin O'Brien, said. A mother who was sentenced Monday to probation and mental health treatment for intentionally striking two schoolgirls with her SUV near a Las Vegas-area high school pleaded guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor battery for scuffling with a jail guard while in custody.
Fatima Maria Mitchell, 36, remains jailed pending sentencing Sept. 19 for the August incident at the Clark County Detention Center. Her sentence is expected to be folded in with three years on probation and treatment at a residential behavioral health center in the crash case, said Connor Saphire, her deputy public defender. Mitchell pleaded guilty in June to felony reckless driving after initially being charged with attempted murder in the March 28 crash near Basic High School in Henderson. Police said her Chevrolet Tahoe struck a tree, a concrete sign and the two girls, who were treated at a hospital for broken bones. |

DALLAS -- A man was sentenced automatically to life in prison without parole after a jury convicted him of capital murder Wednesday in the 2021 shooting death of a Dallas-area police officer.
A Dallas County jury deliberated a little over an hour before finding Jaime Jaramillo, 38, guilty in the shooting death last Dec. 3 of Officer Richard Houston outside a Mesquite supermarket. An arrest warrant affidavit said that Houston, 46, was answering a domestic disturbance report when he arrived at the supermarket parking lot to find Jaramillo, his wife, their daughter and another woman involved in an altercation. The affidavit says that the daughter told police that she and her mother believed Jaramillo was cheating on his wife with another woman. The affidavit says that when Houston went to talk to Jaramillo, the man pulled out a gun and shot Houston before shooting himself. A Georgia man reportedly turned himself in after allegedly shooting his ex-wife and her boyfriend during a custody exchange of the former coupleโs 15-year-old daughter.
The suspect, Marquez Smith, is charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of felony aggravated assault, one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of cruelty to children and one count of violating parole, FOX 5 Atlanta reported. Deputies for the Newton County Sheriffโs Office responded at about 6:15 p.m. to a home on Pebble Lane in Covington, Ga., to find a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were at the home to drop off the womanโs 15-year-old daughter, but the teen girl did not want to go into the house with her father, investigators said. At some point, Smith returned to the house to retrieve a gun and came back outside, shooting his ex-wife and her boyfriend while they sat inside their vehicle. They both were struck, and the man, who was behind the wheel, attempted to flee the scene, but the vehicle careened into a mailbox, WXIA-TV reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman died in an ambulance while in transport to the hospital. FOX 5 identified the deceased woman as Desiree Cash. Smith initially fled in a pick-up truck but made arrangements to turn himself in at the Newton County Sheriff's Office around midnight. A relative of one of the victims told FOX 5 that a seven-month-old was also in the car when Smith allegedly fired into the vehicle. (Black-on-White) |

The looter convicted of murdering a retired St. Louis police captain during riots that unfolded after George Floyd's killing is expected to be sentenced on Tuesday.
Stephan Cannon, 26, was found guilty in July of first-degree murder in the death of 77-year-old retired St. Louis police Capt. David Dorn. Dorn was fatally shot while investigating alarms at a friendโs pawn shop on June 2, 2020. The retired captain fired warning shots into the air to disperse looters who were ransacking the business as he approached the building. Prosecutors argued that Cannon deliberated his actions when he walked to a corner near the pawn shop and fired 10 shots at Dorn. Cannonโs attorneys argued the state had not provided any physical evidence linking him to the shooting and based their case largely on testimony from an unreliable witness, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. However, prosecutors said Cannon was the only person standing on a nearby corner from where the shots originated. |

Beheaded animals โused in black-magic ritualsโ found on Long Islandโ
Trash bags filled with decapitated chickens and goats were discovered on Long Island over the weekend โ likely the grisly remains of animal sacrifice rituals, cops said Monday.
An occult specialist who works with authorities in such cases has said animals are often sacrificed as part of black-magic rituals against targeted individuals. Animal control authorities contacted police after finding the latest remains roughly 100 feet south of the Northern State Parkway in Melville, Suffolk County. Suffolk police said the black bags contained the rotting carcasses of five beheaded chickens and two decapitated goats. (Black) Man kills child's mother, her boyfriend during custody exchange, Newton County Sheriff says
NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. โ A suspect has turned himself in after he allegedly shot and killed his teen child's mother and the mother's boyfriend Sunday in Covington during a custody exchange, according to the Newton County Sheriff.
At around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a home off Pebble Lane in reference to a person shot. A man and woman had arrived at the address to drop off the woman's 15-year-old daughter. However, the daughter did not want to get out and go, according to a statement from authorities. The man accused in the shooting, Marquez Smith, walked down the driveway and shot both the man and woman sitting inside the car, deputies said. After being struck, the man and woman took off in the car where they ultimately hit a mailbox, which is where deputies say they found them. The man, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead on scene. The woman died in the ambulance while being taken to the hospital. Smith was initially on the run after he took off driving a silver 2008 Ford F-250 pick-up truck, but has since turned himself in and is in custody. |

A Buffalo man involved in a fatal shooting outside a Broadway-Fillmore area tavern was sentenced Friday to 14 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision by Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.
On May 27, Jonathan E. Williams, 32, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the May 16, 2021, shooting of 48-year-old Thomas Martin outside the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club on Grimes Street, near Young Street. Martin, who was shot multiple times by Williams, died at the scene. Police described Williams as an associate/member of Wheels of Soul who went by the name "Blaze." District Attorney John J. Flynn Jr. commended detectives Ray Krug and Chris Pilzska of the Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad for their work in investigating the case. |

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) โ A man has been arrested in connection to the death of 38-year-old Jimmy Lee Scott III, who was shot and killed in front of a barber shop on PioNono Avenue in late July.
The Bibb County Sheriffโs Office says investigators identified 21-year-old Adolphus Dewayne Hughes Jr. as the suspect behind the shooting in front of Next Level Kuts on July 29th. Investigators and U.S. Marshal task force members found Hughes at a residence on Highland Avenue, where they arrested him. Hughes is being held at the BCSO Law Enforcement Center where he is being held without bond for the charge of murder. Jarel Scott, the brother of victim, Jimmy Lee Scott III, was also injured during the incident, but is listed to be in stable condition now. |

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) โ A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder in a July 4 shooting that took place in the backyard of a home on South Calhoun St.
Quantae Jackson, 28, appeared in court Monday, accused of shooting to death of Calvin Keys behind a home at 4714 S. Calhoun St. Police were called around 8:45 p.m. on reports of two men being shot. Officers found the men at the back of the house and said both were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the men was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Keys was pronounced dead at the scene. FWPD Homicide and Crime Scene Technicians were there to investigate and process the scene. Detectives went door to door attempting to find witnesses or video surveillance of the incident. |

An 82-year-old concierge at a tony Upper West Side building was slashed in the head with a machete by a disturbed woman let loose despite a slew of prior arrests, cops and sources said.
Hubert Meulens, 82, was left with a fractured skull and 11 stitches after 20-year-old Deashe Calhoun lunged at him in an unprovoked attack, slashing him in the face at Stone Street and Broadway, MTA police and sources said. โEven with just one blow, I could have passed away,โ Meulens said in a phone interview from his Bellevue Hospital bed after his ordeal. โIโm surprised she wasnโt in prison,โ he said of his attacker. โShe needs to be away from society for a long time.โ Calhoun was out free after seven prior arrests involving a machete or other weapons, including a similar attack just days ago, sources said. Scottsdale short-term rental shooting leaves woman injured, 2 (Blacks) arrested
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Two men are behind bars as Scottsdale Police say they're connected to a shooting at a short-term rental on Sept. 9 after being invited over by women from a nightclub.
According to court documents, Aron Melvin, 24, and Sincere Hooks-Lilly, 23, were invited over to a home in Scottsdale near Hayden and McDowell Roads after meeting five women at a Phoenix nightclub. Once they got to the house, Hooks-Lilly reportedly dunked one of the women in the swimming pool, "which caused her to be upset because she had just spent $200.00 to get her hair done." An argument ensued between Hooks-Lilly and the women, ultimately ending in Hooks-Lilly using an electronic payment app to send the woman $100. Hooks-Lilly and Melvin eventually left the home. "As Sincere Hooks-Lilly and Aron Melvin drove back to San Tan Valley where they live the two began to talk about the matter and Sincere Hooks-Lilly became increasingly angry about having given a 100.00 to the female," read a portion of the court documents. The pair then turned around and headed back to the short-term rental home at around 4 a.m. "Sincere Hooks-Lilly and Aron Melvin talked about getting Sincere Hooks-Lilly's money back and that is when Sincere Hooks-Lilly who had his backpack in the backseat retrieved the backpack and inside the backpack he grabbed a dark mask and a Taurus 9mm handgun and he gave these items to Aron Melvin," court documents read. Hooks-Lilly then allegedly instructed Melvin to go into the home and use the gun to scare the women into giving him his money back by firing shots "to show them that he was serious." Melvin allegedly went through the backyard, but the sliding glass door was locked. He then went around to the front and kicked in the front door. The women were inside a locked bedroom and Melvin allegedly kicked in the door, pointed the gun at them and demanded money. "The females began to yell and swear at Aron Melvin, who then decided to fire the handgun three times into the wall and floor in an attempt to scare the females," court documents read. |

MERCED, Calif. (AP) โ Police have arrested a suspect in the death of an 8-year-old girl whose body was found last March inside a central California home after the child was reported missing, authorities said.
After a months-long manhunt, Dhante Jackson was taken into custody Saturday in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Newark on suspicion of killing Sophia Mason, the California attorney generalโs office said. Jackson was in a fornicating sexual relationship with the young victim's mother, 30-year-old Samantha Johnson, who was arrested in March and has pleaded not guilty to murder and child abuse, prosecutors said. Jackson, 34, also faces murder and child abuse charges. Merced police found Sophiaโs body in a bathtub, inside a locked bathroom, according to court documents. Johnson told a Merced police detective that Jackson, her boyfriend, had kept Sophia in a shed outside the Merced house and that the child was subjected to physical and sexual abuse by Jackson. |
Jury finds (Black) Buffalo man guilty of murder
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) โ Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced Wednesday that a Buffalo man has been found guilty of one count of murder in the second degree and two counts of criminal contempt in the second degree.
On June 19, 2020, the defendant, 28-year-old Talyn D. Williams, was involved in an altercation with a female inside of his home on Doat Street in Buffalo. Following the altercation, Williams intentionally stabbed the woman's friend outside of the home. The friend, 28-year-old Allison Turner, died of her injuries at ECMC. Williams was charged with murder and arraigned in Buffalo City Court on June 20, 2020. The judge at the arraignment, Buffalo City Court Judge Andrew C. LoTempio, issued a no-contact order of protection on behalf of the first woman. Williams violated the order of protection twice by calling the woman while he was incarcerated at the Erie County Holding Center. |

The suspect was arrested last month after an inmate was taken to the hospital for what was believed to have been a narcotics overdose. The inmate survived. STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. -- A Michigan man faces charges in connection to a road rage shooting near central Minnesota that left a man injured.
Shannon Stefan Woods, 23, was charged in Stearns County with assault with a dangerous weapon in Tuesday evening's incident. Charges say that Woods and another man were driving in separate vehicles on Interstate 94 in Avon Township. The victim said he became frustrated when Woods allegedly kept him from passing, and when he slowed down near the St. John's exit, he gave Woods the middle finger. Then the victim said he heard a bang and realized he'd been injured in the face, though he wasn't sure if a bullet hit his nose, or if it was glass shattering. Woods was arrested near the Melrose exit. In a post-Miranda statement, he admitted to shooting at the victim's vehicle two or three times with his 9mm handgun. |
New York City police search for (Black) who 'forcibly pushed' 77-year-old lady to the ground
The New York City Police Department is searching for a man who they say stole merchandise from a Manhattan Barnes & Noble bookstore and shoved a 77-year-old woman to the ground.
The incident happened on Sept. 10 at around 12:20 p.m. when an unknown individual entered the bookstore at 33 East 17 Street and tried to leave without paying for the merchandise that he had, according to police. When confronted by loss prevention employees, the individual ran and "forcibly pushed a 77-year-old female to the ground." Williams' mother, Anitra Williams, told Fox San Francisco her son had been romantically involved with Maria Tran, a nurse at John George Psychiatric Hospital. Authorities confirmed the romance to NBC San Francisco. Anitra William said Tran represented herself as an unmarried woman. Williams allegedly committed the killings after finishing an overtime shift at the jail around 11 p.m. Tuesday. He headed to the Tran home after. Former Utah city mayor and Mormon bishop arrested for sexually abusing children as young as 2 years old
A former Utah city mayor and bishop with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been arrested on accusations he sexually abused at least three children decades ago.
Carl Matthew Johnson, 77, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Davis County jail in northern Utah on suspicion of seven counts of sex abuse of a child, according to a probable cause statement. Investigators say Johnson acknowledged abusing three victims in 1985, 1993 and 1996 and estimated there was a total of six victims as young as 2-years-old, according to the document. He told investigators he had struggled "controlling his sexual urges" most of his life. The investigation is still ongoing, but so far Johnson is only booked on charges stemming from three victims. Johnson had not yet been charged as of Thursday afternoon and it was unknown if he had an attorney. |

(Black) Man charged for St. Paul triple homicide, also faces charges for another shooting days prior
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A 41-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges in connection to a triple homicide that occurred in St. Paul last weekend.
Antonio Dupree Wright was arrested in Chicago on Wednesday morning with the help of the FBI.
Wright is charged with three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder for the deaths of Maisha Spaulding, 44, Cory Freeman, 42, and Angelica Gonzales, 33. Two others were injured and remain in stable condition. The shooting happened late Sunday afternoon on the 900 block of Case Avenue East in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Police say officers had been called to the residence more than 17 times this year due to aggravated assaults and disorderly conduct. One of the victims, who was shot three times, named Wright as the suspect and identified him as a heroin dealer. The victim said he was close friends with Wright, who had recently become paranoid about people "snitching" on him. The criminal complaint states that the victim owed Wright $500 for heroin but suspects Wright shot the group because he thought they had "snitched." Wright also faces charges concerning a separate shooting two days before the triple homicide. Police say Wright shot another man four times because he thought the victim overheard Wright discussing a murder and was going to "snitch." |
Police release photos of (Black) men wanted in fatal Loop stabbing
Chicago police have released photos of two men wanted for fatally stabbing a man during a robbery in the Loop Tuesday evening.
The pair approached the man around 11 p.m. in the 400 block of South LaSalle Street and tried to take his belongings, police said. They then kicked, punched and stabbed the man several times, police said. The man, 41, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died. Authorities have not released his name. |

The former NFL player who was charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend about 15 months after she vanished allegedly burned her body after killing her, according to court documents released Wednesday.
Kevin Ware Jr., a former footballer for the San Francisco 49ers, was out on bail for an unrelated charge when his ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski, (started decomposing in unmarked grave) on April 25, 2021, after a party at her Texas home. Newly released court documents cited by KPRC-TV allege that Ware Jr. killed Pomaski and then burned her corpse afterward, burying the remains. A body wasnโt found until December 2021, nine months after her disappearance, and was not positively identified as Pomaski until April 29, 2022, FOX 5 NY reported. Ware Jr. was arrested by U.S. Marshals in June for alleged bond violations and was eventually indicted by a Harris County grand jury in July for murder and tampering with evidence over Pomaskiโs death.

Meta told FOX Business Thursday that it is "working closely" with the Memphis Police Department following a shooting rampage that authorities say was livestreamed on Facebook.
Memphis Police Director Cerelyn Davis said suspect Ezekiel Kelly broadcast his actions on the social media website Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. The shooting spree ultimately left four people dead and three injured.
"We are working closely with law enforcement on this matter," a Meta spokesperson told FOX Business. "We were in direct touch with the Memphis Police Department shortly after they issued their initial public alert about this incident (which was at 7 p.m. CT).

DUBLIN, CA -- Two people were dead and an Alameda County deputy wanted in their slaying was the subject of a Bay Area manhunt early Wednesday after a shooting inside a Dublin home.
According to the Alameda County sheriff's office, Dublin police officers responded to a 911 call at the 3100 block of Colebrook Lane near Fallon Road in East Dublin at about 12:45 a.m. The caller reported two subjects had been shot inside the residence and that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. Upon arriving, officers found a male and female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical aid was summoned to the residence, but both subjects were pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses identified the shooter as 24-year-old Devin Williams Jr., a deputy with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. Williams remained at large and police considered him armed and dangerous. In vestigators said he has a home in Stockton and may be driving either a grey, 2007 Volkswagen Jetta with California license plate 6MEA916 or a 2015 Hyundai with California license plate 9BMB449. Anyone seeing Williams, Jr. or his vehicles was asked to call 911 immediately. Do not attempt to contact him. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) โ The man charged in the death of corrections counselor Benny Alcala Jr. was removed from court Wednesday morning after repeatedly swearing loudly and referring to the murder charge heโs facing.
After several warnings, a deputy removed Robert Pernell Roberts from the courtroom. A couple dozen other defendants were present at the time, and the judge was in the back having a discussion with attorneys on an unrelated case. That hearing โ which involves his alleged probation violation โ will now take place at 3 p.m. during Robertsโ formal arraignment on charges of murder, attempted robbery and possession of a gun by a felon. According to court documents, a witness reported Roberts targeted Alcala because the counselor was charging an electric vehicle and he figured he must have money. Alcala, 43, died at the scene of the shooting the night of Aug. 24 outside the Target on Stockdale Highway. Roberts, 29, wanted money to get a ride back to the โhood,โ the witness said according to the documents. |

Jose Angel Estrada 39, was detained by Phoenix police after he allegedly confessed to fatally shooting a man Monday night.
PHOENIX โ Phoenix police have arrested a local man accused of fatally shooting someone outside his residence Monday night near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road. Jose Estrada, 39, is facing a charge of second-degree murder after he allegedly confessed to killing a man who would not leave his property, court records show. Estrada told Phoenix police the victim had been at his home for about two hours before the suspect asked the man to leave. The two proceeded to argue before Estrada allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. After the shooting, Estrada allegedly walked to a liquor store and called 911. Estrada claimed the man was holding a knife, but a witness reported not seeing any weapons in the hands of the victim, public records show. COLUMBUS, Ohio โ Columbus police say a suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man on the city's east side.
On Saturday around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 3400 block of Bolton Avenue just east of Barnett Road on a report of an accidental shooting.
When officers got to the scene, they found Caleb Day shot. He was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. According to police, witnesses who were inside the house at the time of the shooting said Day was handling a gun when it discharged. Police said after looking at the evidence, it does not appear Day shot himself. Court records state 20-year-old Tejuan Files III was sitting on a couch next to Day and was holding a gun. Files fired the gun one time and the shot hit Day. Files left the residence after the shooting, but returned sometime later. A witness later identified Files, according to police. Files has been charged with murder in connection with Day's death. He turned himself in to police on Monday. The coronerโs office has not identified the remains of a woman found Aug. 15 in open desert on Sierra Highway near Backus Road but family of missing Lancaster woman Ronnetta Martin attended Wednesdayโs arraignment of Jahquan Davenport and James. During that hearing, a court commissioner said the victim had been shot in the back of the head. A Facebook group dedicated to Martin said she died around the time the remains were found and her car was found burned in Inglewood. |

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) โ The Sacramento Police Department said officers identified a suspect in a shooting at a gas station that left one person dead.

After she said she needed to use a bathroom, he pulled over at a Casey's gas station in Cannon Falls. There she locked herself in the bathroom asking workers to call police. Arizona AG files motion for warrant of execution for (Black) death row inmate Murray Hooper
PHOENIX โ The Arizona Attorney General's Office is looking to move forward with the execution of death row inmate Murray Hooper.
The AG's office filed a motion with the Arizona Supreme Court for a warrant of execution for the 76-year-old who was sentenced to death in 1983.
On December 31, 1980, Hooper was among three men who murdered two people and severely injured a third at a Phoenix home. Hooper as well as William Bracy and Edward McCall went to the home of Patrick and Marilyn Redmond and forced them, as well as Marilynโs mother Helen Phelps, into a bedroom at gunpoint. The three victims were robbed of jewelry and money, were bound, and shot in the head. Patrick Redmond and Helen Phelps died from their injuries. Marilyn Redmond survived and eventually helped identify the three killers. Bracy, Hooper, and McCall were all convicted of the murders. Bracy and McCall died before their sentences could be carried out, according to the Attorney Generalโs Office. A hearing to consider the motion is scheduled for October 12. The man who was charged in relation to the abduction of the Memphis mother of two was allegedly seen "cleaning the interior" of a GMC Terrain, which police said is a "vehicle of interest" in the case.
An affidavit for Cleotha Abston's arrest released by the Memphis Police Department on Sunday also stated that two witnesses saw the suspect "washing his clothes in the sink of the house." Eliza Fletcher was reported missing at around 7:45 a.m. on Friday when police received two calls, one from Fletcher's husband, Richard Fletcher III, and one from the University of Memphis. Police say that she was forcefully taken into a car at 4:30 a.m. Abston was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering. Abston, according to police, "ran aggressively toward" Fletcher, who was out for a morning run, and then "forced" her into the passenger's side of the GMC Terrain, adding that there was a "struggle" during the abduction. Police said that Champion slides sandals were found at the scene of the abduction, which were sent for DNA testing. Officials then found that the shoes matched Cleotha Abston. A Wisconsin man wanted in connection with a murder in Milwaukee was killed in a police shooting Friday night. Ernest Blakney, 47, was shot and killed by police in Milwaukee's downtown bar district after a high-speed chase Friday, FOX 6 reported. He was wanted for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 36-year-old Nikia Rogers, whose body was discovered in Blakney's burned-out home on August 25. He was suspected of setting his house on fire. An autopsy later revealed Rogers died from bullet wounds to her back and head. Her death was ruled a homicide. The pursuit eventually ended when the truck became disabled. The suspect then exited the vehicle and fired shots at police. Several officers shot back at the suspect, hitting the target. |

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A murder suspect who was arrested by the Columbia Police Department in 2018 has been convicted of the violent crime.
A Richland County jury found Michael Paul Griffin guilty of fatally shooting Jerri Lynn Sigmon on October 20, 2018 at 4826 Norman Street. According to investigators Sigmon and Griffin were in a relationship at the time of the incident. Initially, Griffin said the victim was shot and killed during a home break-in, according to investigators. The jury deliberated for 45 minutes, and Griffin was sentenced to 46 years in prison. |
Sumter County deputies arrest BLACK suspect for attempted murder
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Sumter County Sheriffโs Office has arrested 20-year-old Kameron Wolfe.
Wolfe was arrested on charges of attempted murder, discharging a firearm at/or into a dwelling, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies and EMS responded to a report of multiple shots fired at a residence on Muddy Water Lane on Aug. 30. According to investigators when deputies arrived on the scene, a woman was located in her yard with a gunshot wound to her lower back area. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, then once she was stabilized she was taken to a hospital in Columbia. Investigators say they determined the shot came from Wolfeโs rifle that he was using to fire rounds that night at a nearby relativeโs residence. Wolfe was taken into custody at the Sumter County Sheriffโs Office and then transported to the Sumter County Sheriffโs Office Detention Center where he remains, awaiting an initial bond hearing scheduled for the afternoon of September 1. |

Brenda Dean Inabinette, 58, is charged with third-degree assault and battery, according to the Lexington County Sheriffโs Department.
โThe student in this case reached out to an assistant principal at White Knoll Middle School to share what happened between him and Inabinette last Thursday,โ Sheriff Jay Koon said. โThe student said he accidentally went back to the wrong classroom after a trip to the restroom and that prompted the encounter with Inabinette.โ Inabinette allegedly grabbed the studentโs ID lanyard while it was around his neck and said, โYou make me want to strangle you,โ according to the warrant. The assistant principal described the student as โphysically and emotionally shaken.โ Inabinette turned herself in Tuesday morning. She is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center. Lexington District One officials said that Inabinette was placed on administrative leave on August 25 following the incident. |

Mom and 1-Year-Old Kidnapped by two BLACKS While Packing Car in Tenn. Target Parking Lot, Suspects Still at Large
Police in Memphis, Tenn., are searching for two suspects accused of abducting a mother and her 1-year-old from a Target parking lot while the mom was loading groceries into her vehicle.
According to a statement from Memphis police, the incident took place on Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the lot of the Target at 7989 Highway 64. The suspects have since released the mother and child. The suspects allegedly approached the victims "armed with a handgun," the statement says. Police allege that after forcing the victims into their vehicle, the suspects drove off and forced the mother to withdraw $800 from an ATM before letting the woman and her child go free. The suspects are still at large, and police are encouraging anyone with knowledge of the case or the whereabouts of the suspects to provide tips. |

Mexicans charged with murder of North Carolina sheriffโs deputy in US illegally: ICE

Two Mexican nationals charged with the murder of a North Carolina sheriffโs deputy were in the country illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday.
ICE confirmed that it had issued immigration detainers for Alder Alfonso Marin Sotelo, 25, and Arturo Marin Sotelo 29, who were both charged with murder. Additionally, the agency had issued a detainer for Rolando Marin Sotelo, 22, who is charged with illegal possession of a weapon. Alder Alfonso Marin Sotelo and Arturo Marin Sotelo are charged with the murder of Wake County K9 Deputy Ned Byrd, who was shot and killed on Aug. 11 when patrolling a neighborhood in response to multiple 911 calls. Moments before he died, Byrd got out of his vehicle but left his dog inside, Sheriff Gerald Baker told FOX 8 last month. The fact he left his dog inside "tells us that what he got out on didnโt appear to be any sort of threat or require any sort of need for his partner." Byrd was shot multiple times and was found wearing protective gear, according to FOX 8. ICE told Fox News Digital that the elder brothers had both entered the U.S. illegally "on an unknown date, at an unknown place" that was not a port of entry โ meaning they likely evaded Border Patrol agents. Arturo Marin Sotelo had been encountered by Border Patrol agents near Naco, Arizona, in June 2010 and had been deported to Mexico via voluntary return through Tucson, Arizona. However, he later re-entered the country. ICE said that Rolando Marin Sotelo , the younger brother now facing a weapons charge, was encountered as an unaccompanied child in 2019, and was issued a voluntary return in Arizona. However, he was encountered two months later by Border Patrol in Texas, and was released into the U.S. via humanitarian parole. According to ICE, his immigration hearing was scheduled for April 2023. Two people were charged with shooting and killing a homeless double amputee as he slept in a wheelchair in South Los Angeles, authorities said Thursday.

Lipeles was sleeping outside of a McDonaldโs restaurant when Salazar walked up and shot him in the head, prosecutors alleged. He died five days later at a hospital. California EV owners asked to curb charging ahead of travel holiday
As a brutal heat wave cooks the West in the run-up to Labor Day, Californiaโs power grid manager is calling on electric vehicle owners to avoid charging at peak times. The request is part of a broader effort to keep the stateโs grid up and running, while locals crank their air conditioners to outlast a streak of blazing-hot days.
Through at least September 2, the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) is asking residents to conserve energy by โsetting thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, if health permits, avoiding use of major appliances and turning off unnecessary lightsโ from 4 to 9 p.m. Pacific. โThey should also avoid charging electric vehiclesโ during that time frame, added the nonprofit, which oversees Californiaโs grid and energy market. Justin Jones, 41, was jailed Wednesday in Lake County, Fla., on charges of first-degree murder, sexual battery and false imprisonment. According to an affidavit in the chilling case, Lake County sheriffโs deputies showed up at Thousand Trails RV park in Clermont around 2 p.m. after a woman caller said sheโd witnessed a homicide and had been tied up and raped. Officers entering the blood-spattered home discovered two bodies, later identified as Jonesโ wife, Sandra Gaudino, 38, and his stepson, 17-year-old Ty Finister. Jones was nabbed a short time later in the parking lot of a nearby Publix supermarket after a brief chase. Deputies were summoned to the Thousand Trails RV park in Clermont, Florida, on Wednesday after getting a call from a woman reporting a murder and a rape. WESH WESH reported detectives alleged Jones fatally hammered his wife Tuesday night, wrapped her body in a trash bag and stashed it under a mattress. Hours later, when his stepson returned home, Jones allegedly killed him with the mallet, then wrapped his head in a bag. โIn 25 years of doing this, this is probably one of the worst,โ Lake County Sheriffโs Lt. An Indiana man was charged with raping an Indiana University sorority member before she mysteriously died at his parentโs house earlier this month.
Eric Montgomery, 33, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for rape when the victim is โdisabled or deficient,โ as well as furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to court records. The arrest came amid an investigation into the Aug. 17 death of Avery McMillan, 20, who had been heavily drinking before being picked up by Montgomery, who then plied her with more alcohol, police said. Montgomery told police he met McMillan that morning near campus and had sex with her in the parking garage of her apartment building and at his house, according to WXIN. The rape suspect also said he provided McMillan with weed and alcohol and consumed it with her. A search of his vehicle turned up two half-empty bottles of liquor. Roommates of the college student told detectives she had โgot a little more drunk than she intended or wanted toโ at a party the night before. She then became โfrazzled and aggressiveโ and exited the car in the middle of their drive home around 2 a.m. The young woman was then seen on security footage trying in vain to access her Bloomington apartment without her key for almost two hours. Much of that time was spent in the buildingโs parking garage, where McMillan appeared โhighly intoxicated,โ detectives told the station. A 2010 Ford Crown Victoria believed to belong to Montgomery entered the garage around 5 a.m. and stayed there for about nine minutes before leaving, according to the article. McMillan was not seen in the garage after the car left. At 9:45 a.m., a man called 911 from an off-campus house owned by Montgomeryโs parents, police reportedly said. McMillian was reportedly found unconscious and unresponsive. Montgomery was not charged in connection with her death, the cause of which remains unknown pending the results of an autopsy report. McMillian was a โbelovedโ and โdedicatedโ member of Zeta Tau Alpha who โwent out of her way to be an involved and present member of the chapter,โ said chapter President Ella Gebke. She hailed from Valparaiso, Indiana, about 200 miles north of the university, according to her sorority sisters. After the mother tucked her children to sleep, she heard gunshots, the sheriff said. "While she goes to the bathroom, she heard several gunshots," Chronister said during a press conference. "She initially thought it happened right outside the residence." The sheriff said that the mother then realized that the gunshots came from inside the residence and went outside, where she saw a neighbor on the phone with 911. "She takes over the phone call and starts talking to her 911 dispatcher," Chronister said. Hispanic Los Angeles murder suspect in killing of man, injuring four others arrested in Texas 
A Los Angeles man linked to the fatal shooting of a father of three children and wounding four other people after a vehicle collision has been arrested in Texas.
Luis Enriquez Hernandez, 37, was taken into custody in Houston on Tuesday with assistance from the FBI, the Los Angeles Police Department said. He is expected to be extradited to Los Angeles County to face murder and attempted murder charges. Investigators said Hernandez killed 37-year-old Jonathan Santillano, 37, on Aug. 3. A New York City private school administrator has been secretly recorded confessing that she sneaks her liberal political โagendaโ into the classroom and complaining about โreally awfulโ white Republicans.
Jennifer โGinnโ Norris, who works at the Trinity School on the Upper East Side, was filmed by conservative outlet Project Veritas saying that she tries to โdisruptโ wherever she can and that she and other teachers have been โsneakingโ their activism in through the cracks. โThereโs always groups of teachers who want to do these [activist] things but the administration just wouldnโt let us,โ Norris says in the clip. โSo, weโve been just sneaking things in [through] the cracks.โ Norris, who is listed as the director of student activities at the $60,000-a-year school, said she has the opportunity to bring in guest speakers twice a week and that she told her boss she would be โ100% Democraticโ with the kids. Pennsylvania police announced on Monday that an EMT is facing charges after allegedly exposing a "semi-conscious" woman under his care in the back of an ambulance and snapping photos of her breasts.
Kevin Hakeem Pressley, 24, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody on Saturday and is charged with indecent assault, invasion of privacy and related charges. The Brookhaven Borough Police Department said it initiated an investigation Friday into an alleged assault that occurred the day prior. The victim reported that she was being treated at a medical facility in Brookhaven when she became "semi-conscious." NORTH ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A 41-year-old man is facing murder charges after allegedly killing his girlfriend last week inside her North St. Paul apartment, where officials say at least one witness saw him as a fire spread through the apartment.
Melvin Bilbro, of North St. Paul, was charged Monday in Ramsey County with one count of second-degree murder in connection to the killing of 43-year-old Shanna Daniels. According to a criminal complaint, police responded Thursday evening to a fire at Daniels' third floor apartment in a building on the 2200 block of South Avenue East. First responders found her body in the bedroom, partially burned. Witnesses said that Bilbro was with Daniels most of the day and up until about 15 minutes before police arrived at the apartment complex, where he also lived. The witnesses said that Bilbro was Daniels' boyfriend, and one of them reported that he was in the apartment while it was burning, the complaint states. |

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- A 28-year-old Twin Cities man is facing charges after he was arrested Friday for walking through Mall of America with an "AR-15-style" rifle and robbing two stores.
Cartier Troy Alexander, of Woodbury, was charged Monday in Hennepin County with two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery, court documents show. At a press conference last week, Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said that Alexander was walking "nonchalantly" through the mall carrying a rifle. One shopper saw him and called mall security, which responded by tackling Alexander as he left a store. No one was hurt. The mall was not put on lockdown, Hodges said, because authorities did not want to escalate the situation. |

A former Colorado social worker faces charges on accusations that she filed a false report of child abuse against an elected official โ and now, a new lawsuit alleges she tried to take away the children of women who resisted her sexual advances. Robin Niceta, 40, faces a felony charge of retaliation against an elected official, as well as a misdemeanor charge of making a false report of child abuse as a mandatory reporter. Police say that the alleged offenses happened when Niceta worked in the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services. According to a criminal complaint, Niceta called the Department of Human Services anonymously to report that a local councilwoman, Danielle Jurinsky, sexually abused her own son in the presence of her employees. The criminal complaint alleges that Niceta used a personal phone to make the call, and that authorities investigated the case and found that the allegations were untrue. Authorities believe that Niceta made the call after Jurinsky appeared on a local radio show and called for the firing of the Aurora Police Chief, who was Niceta's LESBIAN girlfriend at the time. After the allegations were made, Niceta resigned from her job. She has been released from jail on $4,000 bond and has not yet entered a plea. But things have gotten worse for Niceta. |
