Bills tackle Cyrus Kouandjio has a pretty good
excuse for missing practice Thursday. Police found the 23-year-old
partially clothed in a field on the side of the highway Tuesday in
Elma after he apparently had abandoned his car on the road. When
officers approached Kouandjio, he reportedly yelled, Shoot

Kouandjio pulled off the road near the accident and climbed over an electric fence to reach the field where he was discovered, according to the police report. Kouandjio, a 6-foot-7, 322-pounder beginning his third NFL season, was not arrested, but reportedly was taken to an area hospital for observation. The
bizarre circumstances are reminiscent of an incident last year in

Sports: Baylor Trying to Settle Sexual Assault Claim![]() WACO,
Texas Baylor University is trying to settle a federal lawsuit from
a former student who claims school counselors told her they were
"too busy" to see her after she was raped by former football player
Tevin Elliott. The Baylor University Board of
Regents on June 9 filed an unopposed motion to extend the deadline
for filing an answer from June 20 to July 20. Jasmin
Hernandez filed a negligence and gender discrimination
lawsuit against the board, former head football coach Art Briles and
former athletic director Ian McCaw in early April. She says Elliott
grabbed her at a party in 2012, took her behind a shack and raped
her. At least five women have accused Elliott of raping or
assaulting them between October 2009 and April 2012. He was
sentenced in January 2014 to 20 years in state prison on each of two
counts of sexual assault. - (Black

Sports: Darren Sharper likely to get 15-20 years under new plea
deal in serial rape cases - over at least three states NEW
ORLEANS -- A federal judge Tuesday formally accepted Darren
Sharper's plea deal in a drug and rape case, making clear
to the former NFL star that she could sentence him to 20 years in
prison. U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo had earlier rejected
a deal that could have meant a nine-year sentence. Attorneys say
federal sentencing guidelines call for a sentence in the range of
roughly 15 or 16 to 20 years. Prosecutors said in court Tuesday that
they may recommend a lighter sentence, based on Sharper's
cooperation in related cases. Sentencing was set for June 16. In
addition to his federal guilty plea, Sharper has pleaded guilty or
no-contest in state courts to charges that he
drugged and sexually assaulted women in Arizona, California, and
Louisiana. Those charges involve nine
victims, but Milazzo said in court earlier this month that
there may be as many as 16. Sharper has been sentenced to
nine years in Arizona but still awaits formal sentencing in Los
Angeles, Las Vegas and in state and federal courts in New Orleans.

JOSE Broncos rookie safety Ryan Murphy is being
sent back to Denver after being questioned by San Jose police during

The sting was part of Santa Clara Countys multi-agency human

San Jose known for prostitution. Police detained a suspected female
prostitute in the area of North First Street and Brokaw Road. The
woman told task force members that she had to go to a car that was
