BLACK: Tennessee murder of White female wigger, suspect arrested in Corbin CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - One Tennessee man is facing a host of charges following his arrest in Southeastern Kentucky. Early Thursday morning, Corbin Police received a call from the Murfreesboro Police Department requesting help to capture a suspect in a murder case. Officials with the Tennessee department said when they pinged Saleem Hamilton’s cell phone, it showed up at the Speedway gas station in Corbin. Two CPD officers went to the gas station and found Hamilton. When they tried to arrest him, the suspect put a brief struggle before he was taken into custody. During a search, police found a handgun that matched the one used to commit the murder in the Volunteer State along with several other pieces of evidence in the case. In Kentucky, Hamilton is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of a defaced firearm. He is also facing the murder charge from a warrant taken out from the Murfreesboro Police Department. He was taken to the Whitley County Detention Center where he is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. IRMO, S.C. —
A woman was shot and killed by a woman she didn't know when the two were fighting in a South Carolina grocery store parking lot, according to Irmo police.
Irmo Officers responded to the Kroger Shopping Center at 4 p.m. Tuesday and found a woman dead in the parking lot, according to Chief Robert Dale. After interviewing witnesses and watching surveillance video, Dale said it appears that Christina Harrison, 23, of Columbia, and the victim did not know each other; however, they were involved in a verbal fight just before the shooting. Police said Harrison left the scene but turned herself into the police department a short time later. A South Carolina woman accused of fatally shooting a beloved mom in a grocery store parking lot following an argument has turned herself in after authorities say she fled the scene of the deadly Valentine's Day encounter. "Unfortunately, this is a situation where tempers flared, and someone let anger get the best of them," Irmo Police Chief Bobby Dale said in a statement, adding that the women did not know each other prior to the incident. Jail records indicate Christina Harrison faces charges of murder, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. It's unclear if Harrison, 23, has entered a plea to the charges or retained an attorney to comment on her behalf. BLACK-ON-WHITE: Man convicted in murder of young WHITE woman gets ONLY a 55-year prison sentence
MAYS LANDING — The man convicted of killing a 25-year-old Egg Harbor Township woman in 2014 was sentenced Friday to 55 years in prison.
Timothy Wright, 42, is required to serve at least 85% of the term under the state's No Early Release Act.
A jury found Wright, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, guilty in November of killing Joyce Vanderhoff after a roughly two-week trial. Tuesday marked nine years since Vanderhoff's body was found along Weymouth Road near a blueberry farm. Her death was ruled a homicide by strangulation. Wright, seated in court wearing an orange jail suit, maintained his innocence, overwhelmed with emotion and expressing his sorrow for Vanderhoff's death. Despite the conviction, he maintained the prosecution has "the wrong person." Body found in Hamilton Township identified as Egg Harbor Township woman, report states A jury previously convicted Wright for first-degree murder after a two-and-a-half-week- trial that commenced this past October. Jury convicts (Black) Buffalo man of murder but acquits woman charged as his accomplice in fatal shooting
an Erie County jury convicted a Buffalo man of second-degree murder and also a weapons charge Wednesday but acquitted a woman accused of being his accomplice on the same charges, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.
Jurors rendered their verdict against 32-year-old Cortez Foster after about 2½ hours of deliberation following a five-day trial. Prosecutors said Foster in the early morning hours of March 14, 2021, shot 29-year-old Marcus Spain, who was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Johnson Street, located in the city's Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood. Prosecutors said Foster intentionally fired multiple shots at Spain with an illegal gun. Spain was transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center where he later died. Naudia Marvin of Buffalo, who was indicted as an accomplice, was acquitted of the charges. |
Police search for (Black)suspect in connection to double shooting in Portsmouth
PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Police are searching for a man who is charged in connection to a double shooting that left one woman dead in Portsmouth.
According to police, 35-year-old Jamar L. Hilliard is charged with second-degree murder, shooting in a dwelling, grand larceny: firearm, obstruction of justice, concealing evidence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. These charges stem from a double shooting on Jul. 25 in the 10th block of Jenkins Place. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man and a woman who were shot. The woman, identified as 37-year-old Charkela Y. Branch, later died from her injuries. |

Hispanic Texas brothers who beat stepfather to death for sexually abusing their sister appear in court 
PHARR, Texas – The Pharr brothers accused in the 2022 vigilante killing of their stepfather appeared in court just one year after the murder.
Christian Treviño, 18, walked into court smiling on Feb. 1, according to MyRGV.com. His attorney, Carlos Garcia, asked District Judge Fernando Mancias for additional time to work on the case. The judge agreed after Garcia suggested they wait until Christian’s brother’s hearing in March. His brother, Alejandro Treviño, 19, also has charges relating to the beating death of their stepfather, 42-year-old Gabriel Quintanilla. The Treviño brothers, along with family friend Juan Eduardo Melendez, 19, were all arrested in January 2022. They’re accused of beating Quintanilla to death because they believed he was sexually abusing their 9-year-old sister. A report from ValleyCentral states that Quintanilla was found in a field in McAllen with severe blunt-force trauma to his head last January after multiple assaults allegedly committed by the three teens. According to KRGV, police reported that a minor, later identified as Quintanilla’s daughter, made an outcry about being inappropriately touched by Quintanilla at an RV park. “When brothers (Alejandro) and Christian Treviño found out, they became enraged and confronted Gabriel Quintanilla at the residence. A physical fight ensued between the three and the victim Quintanilla left the location on foot,” a news release from Pharr Police Department states. MyRGV reported that the Treviño brothers’ mother said her sons assaulted Quintanilla after they learned he had been accused of molesting their then-9-year-old half-sister. (Black) Suspect arrested in Warren Street shooting
SUMTER, S.C. (WIS) - The Sumter Police Department says a man is facing charges in a December shooting.
John Ambrose Westley, 41, formerly of Sumter was taken into custody Monday on an unrelated warrant. While being interviewed he admitted to the department he’d shot Clifton James Singletary, 45, of Brown Street. On Dec. 15, 2022, Singletary was standing on Warren St at 8:15 p.m. when he was hit by gunfire. He later died of his injuries at a Columbia hospital. Investigators linked Westley to the case and identified him as the shooter. It is believed the incident came from a dispute between Westley and a friend of Singletary. Westley is charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and unlawful carry of a weapon. |
St. Petersburg police arrest SECOND (Black) suspect in 15-year-old’s shooting death
St. Petersburg Police have arrested a second suspect in the December shooting death of 15-year-old Zykiqurio Lofton.
David Moore, 18, was arrested Tuesday on a first-degree felony murder charge in connection with Lofton’s death. Moore was being held at the Pinellas County jail on Wednesday. Lofton was shot on Dec. 29 while he was walking near 9th Avenue S and 16th Street S, police said. Lofton’s family said he was visiting from Georgia for the holidays and had been walking back from hanging out with his brother and their friends when he was shot. Deonte Bishop, 17, was arrested on Dec. 30 on a first-degree felony murder charge in connection with Lofton’s death. Bishop is also facing charges in connection with a fatal crash where police said he was driving without a license and fled the scene. |
(Black) Painesville man charged in shooting; victim hospitalized
PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - Painesville police said a 24-year-old man is behind bars after turning himself in for a shooting.
According to police, the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday outside a business on Richmond Street.
The suspect, identified by police as Anthony Lecarlo Jones Jr., of Painesville, is facing a felonious assault charge and $1.25 million bond. Police said Jones shot and injured a 21-year-old Painesville man who was in the business parking lot. The victim drove himself to a Concord hospital but was later flown to MetroHealth in Cleveland, according to police. Jones is due back in court on Feb. 21 for a preliminary hearing. |

MARTINSVILLE — A jury trial began Monday for a Henry County man accused of sexually abusing a woman — an attack that came after she was abducted from Radford, prosecutors said. The convoluted case involves defendants in both jurisdictions and an allegation that the victim was handed over to be assaulted as payment for a debt.
Bobby Ronnell Helms, 44, of Fieldale faces two counts of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy. Jurors began hearing evidence Monday in Henry County Circuit Court with Judge Stacey Moreau presiding. The trial is scheduled to conclude Tuesday. Deputies arrest and identify (Black) suspect after manhunt in Newberry Co.
NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Deputies have identified the man who was arrested after a manhunt in Newberry County.
The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office said 35-year-old Demenous Quinard Bookman is facing multiple charges after he was accused of committing crimes. Detectives said at 1:21 p.m. on Feb. 14, during a domestic incident with a partner, Bookman pulled out a long gun and fired while at the intersection of Candy Kitchen Road and U.S. Highway 76. Bookman then fled into the woods with his gun, he then allegedly threw his gun in a wooded area according to Sheriff Lee Foster. Detectives said Bookman was spotted by deputies in a neighborhood yard a little under a mile away from multiple schools in the area, including, Prosperity-Rikard Elementary school, Mid-Carolina High School, and Mid-Carolina Middle School. The schools were then put on alert according to investigators. While the Sheriff’s Office tracking team was trying to find Bookman, a citizen said they saw a suspect matching the description of Bookman on Wessinger Drive in Prosperity according to investigators. The schools were then put on lockdown while the tracking team went to the location and found Bookman in a wooded area said, deputies. |

A 68-year-old man was convicted Tuesday in the shooting death of a beloved city fire captain killed while responding to a dumpster fire in downtown Stockton. v A jury found Robert Somerville guilty of second-degree murder and discharging a firearm in the killing of Stockton Fire Department Capt. Vidal “Max” Fortuna, 47. Somerville was prohibited for life from owning a gun and is required to turn over his firearms to law enforcement, according to NBC’s Sacramento affiliate KCRA. He’s set to be sentenced on April 10. Fortuna left behind a wife and two grown children. “He was murdered because the defendant made the choice to shoot without cause, legal justification, or concern for human life,” said San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas in a statement. Fortuna was shot at 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2022, while forcing entry into a commercial building exposed to heavy fire conditions, said officials for the city about 50 miles south of Sacramento. The Somerville family said in a statement tweeted by a CBS Sacramento reporter that Somerville, a business owner, and former engineer in Stockton for over 30 years, is not violent. The statement said he operated and lived in the warehouse near the fire and believed his business was being burglarized, “which led to this horrific chain of tragic events.” The statement said he had been a victim of attempted break-ins in an area “plagued with the highest concentration of homeless individuals.” Fortuna was a 21-year veteran of the Stockton Fire Department and coached youth sports. (Black killer gets) Second-degree murder conviction for 2021 downtown Boise shooting
BOISE, Idaho — Timmothy Morgan of Meridian has been found guilty of second-degree murder of 28-year-old Lamont Rogers, following a six-day jury trial.
According to Ada County officials, Morgan was charged with second-degree murder and a felony weapons enhancement for shooting and killing Rogers as they walked together in downtown Boise on Sept. 5, 2021. Prosecutor Robert Bleazard said in court that Morgan, Rogers and two other people were all walking down Sixth Street near the Grove Street intersection when the shooting occurred. The two witnesses said that Morgan and Rogers were talking when the suspect pulled out a handgun and began shooting. The victim was hit eight times, leaving gunshot wounds "all over his body," according to the prosecutor. Morgan ran away before police arrived, Bleazard said, changing his clothes and getting rid of the 9mm handgun in an attempt to avoid detection. Officers and paramedics tried to save the victim's life, but he died at the scene. |

Roanoke jail inmate was charged with murder Tuesday after his cellmate’s death. At about 6:45 a.m., deputies “conducting a security round” at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center noticed that an inmate “appeared to have blood on his person,” the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. The inmate, 35-year-old Wayne Donta Harper, was “immediately removed and placed in restrictive housing,” the sheriff’s office said.
Jail staff found that “another resident in the cell was unresponsive,” and “medical personnel began life-saving procedures,” the press release continued. The other inmate died at 7:33 a.m. The sheriff’s office said his identity will be released pending notifcation of next of kin. The Roanoke Police Department was notified and is leading the investigation of the death, “in accordance with departmental policy,” the sheriff’s office said. |

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — Prosecutors on Tuesday charged a 19-year-old man in a December double shooting that killed a man and injured a woman in Black Jack.
Eric Anderson, of Overland, is charged with first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action, first-degree assault and first-degree attempted robbery. He was arrested Tuesday and is in custody on a $500,000 cash-only bond, police said. Byrom Donald, also 19, was shot and killed on the afternoon of Dec. 27, police said. A woman who was with Donald was shot but survived. Investigators said Anderson asked Donald to meet him at the Kendelwood Apartments, in the 12400 block of Kendelwood Drive, so Anderson could buy marijuana. |

DALLAS - There are a lot of new details about how a recent attempted carjacking of a luxury car went down in an upscale area of Dallas.
Police arrested the three suspects they were looking for, and court documents detail a good lead police had. One suspect showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound minutes after the attempted carjacking and shootout last December. Police say he was shot by a friend of the Maserati owner they were trying to carjack. Three men have now been arrested for their alleged roles in a shootout and botched attempted carjacking at a popular shopping center off Lovers Lane around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 30. Lauren Rodriguez works nearby at the Ashe, a cigar and social lounge. She heard the gunfire. "Everyone thought it was like done and over with. We thought it was just someone being dumb and just driving by shooting their gun for fun," she recalled. "But once when you saw the cops go out and the yellow tape, it was something actually serious." Dallas police say three people were leaving dinner at Odelay Tex-Mex when 21-year-old Lequezio Dade, 19-year-old Kylan Owens and 21-year-old Anthony Primers approached them. |

BLACK-on-WHITE: Michigan State University BLACK gunman had felony weapon charge dropped in 2019
Michigan State University gunman Anthony McRae, who shot and killed three people on campus Monday evening, was charged with a felony for carrying a concealed weapon without a license in 2019, but that count was later dropped after he pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge for possession of a firearm in a vehicle, according to Ingham County court records.
McRae opened fire inside an academic hall on the northern boundary of the campus in East Lansing shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday. He then walked a short distance to the student union and opened fire again, according to police. Three students were killed and five others were critically wounded. McRae was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound off-campus after an hours-long manhunt. A Houston, Texas, teenager was arrested and charged with capital murder after allegedly shooting and killing two men and injuring another on Feb. 4, according to police.
Houston Police said Chase Franklin Williams, 18, was arrested on Feb. 6 and charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police were dispatched to a shooting just before 5 p.m. on Feb. 4 on Buffalo Speedway. When the officers arrived, they found Brandon Forbes, 23, unresponsive and in the median of the road. Police said Forbes was suffering from gunshot wounds and when the Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived, they pronounced him deceased. Officers were also dispatched to Fleetwood Drive where they found Reginald Reed, 58, unresponsive on the front porch of a home. Responding paramedics also pronounced Reed deceased at the scene. Greensboro man is facing a murder charge in the death of a Winston-Salem man last month, authorities said.
Tyshaun Martrez Stevenson, 21, of Dayton Street was arrested Monday in Thomasville by police and U.S. Marshals, Winston-Salem police said. Stevenson is charged with killing Demetrius Alexander Williams, 35, of Bedford Park Court on Jan. 30, police said. Officers responded at 10:12 p.m. Jan. 30 to the 1000 block of Geneva Road near the main campus of Forsyth Technical Community College off Silas Creek Parkway to investigate a report of a man who had been shot, police said. Police then received a second call reporting that a gunshot victim had arrived at a local hospital. Williams died at a local hospital, police said. Investigators determined that Williams had been shot in a parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Geneva Road during a fight. |

Suspect Robert Somerville found guilty in shooting death of Stockton firefighter Max Fortuna
STOCKTON - The suspect in the shooting death of Stockton firefighter Max Fortuna last year has been found guilty.
Sixty-eight-year-old Robert Somerville is accused of killing 47-year-old Stockton Fire Capt. Vidal "Max" Fortuna in 2022. Closing arguments from the defense and prosecution were heard last week in a packed Stockton courtroom filled with family members who listened for hours to closing statements from the defense and prosecution in the case. During a police interrogation, Somerville had said he shot his gun to scare possible intruders away, not to kill anyone. He continued to say that it was no longer warning shots when Somerville allegedly aimed at the noise source. Fortuna died from a gunshot wound to the chest, the prosecution said. |

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland man convicted of fatally shooting a woman in East Cleveland in 2021 was sentenced to life in prison by Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Daniel Gaul Tuesday afternoon.
John Jordan III is eligible for parole after he serves 15 years. Jordan, 35, pleaded guilty on Feb. 7 to murder and felonious assault. He shot and killed Chanika Clark, 32, on Oct. 12, 2021. East Cleveland police said the couple got into an argument at a home near Northfield and Euclid Avenues. They then continued to argue outside the home and Jordan shot her one time before fleeing. EMS responded to the scene and transported Clark to a local hospital, where the Maple Heights mom died from her injuries. |

According to the Denver Police Department, officers need help locating 26-year-old Dydrick Martin. Martin is wanted for first-degree murder in connection to a homicide that took place on Dec. 25, 2022. DPD said the shooting took place on Christmas Day in the 4800 block of North Crown Boulevard in the Montbello neighborhood. COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A Round O man has been charged in the 2018 strangulation death of a woman, according to the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Jarvise Terrell Jenkins, 38, of Round O, is charged with the murder of 27-year-old Anelia Simone Garvin in Dec. 2018, the solicitor’s office said. Jenkins was found guilty by a Hampton County General Sessions Court jury on Feb. 2. The solicitor’s office said Circuit Court Judge Edward Miller sentenced Jenkins to 50 years in prison. Officials said Garvin was the ex-girlfriend of the defendant. Jenkins strangled Garvin before he used gasoline to start her family’s mobile home on fire, the solicitor’s office said. Investigators determined the fire was started under the mobile home and did not affect the interior. The release from the solicitor’s office said investigators found Jenkins’s DNA on a cigarette butt that was the edge of the bathtub where Garvin’s body was found. |

A Lexington man convicted of strangling and killing his wife was sentenced to life in prison.
On Feb. 3, a Lowell Superior Court jury found 49-year-old Hongyan Sun guilty of first degree murder for the death of Shen Cai. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said in a news release Friday that Cai’s body was found in her car in the early morning of May 29, 2019, on a public street near the home she shared with Sun. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner soon determined that Cai had been strangled. |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Robbie Valentine, a member of Louisville's 1986 NCAA championship team, was arrested Thursday night on a charge of strangulation.
Valentine got into an argument with his girlfriend when she discussed moving out, according to a Louisville Metro Police arrest citation. Valentine slammed her phone down, dumped her purse in the sink, threw her off a bed and began strangling the woman, according to police. The police report said the victim had redness and bruises on her neck. Valentine pleaded not guilty through his attorney, Brian Butler, on Friday. His bond has been set at $2,500. Valentine was released from Metro Corrections after posting bond Friday afternoon, according to court records. |

A Florida judge is threatening rapper Drake with a contempt charge if he doesn’t show up for a deposition in the trial of three men accused of murdering XXXTentacion, a South Florida rapper who was an emerging star until his death in 2018. Drake, one of the biggest names in hip-hop music, has already missed one date for a deposition.
On Thursday, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, was ordered by Broward Circuit Judge Michael Usan to give a deposition through Zoom on Feb. 24, court records showed. Drake did not appear for a scheduled deposition on Jan. 27, according to a court order, and if he again fails to show, he will have to go to the courtroom and possibly face a contempt of court charge, which could lead to jail time or fines. SAN ANTONIO – A day after Andre McDonald was sentenced to 20 years in prison for causing the death of his wife Andreen McDonald, sources confirmed to KSAT 12 that McDonald’s father is awaiting trial in Jamaica for the murder of his ex-wife and current wife.
Everton McDonald, also known as Beachy Stout, will go to trial in September for the accused murder-for-hire of his second wife, Tonia Hamilton-McDonald, in July 2020, according to Everton McDonald is also facing a murder charge for the death of his first wife, Merlene in May 2009. According to Loop Jamaica News, Everton McDonald will be in court in that case in Jan. of 2024 and is expected to take a plea deal. Both of the murders took place in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. Everton McDonald is a prominent businessman in Port Antonio where both Andre and Andreen McDonald are from. On Feb. 3, a jury found Andre McDonald guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter for causing the 2019 death of Andreen McDonald. A judge sentenced him to the maximum sentence. Shakerra Long, who turned 30 on Friday, was arrested Thursday night on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Brian Graham, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department. Detectives believe Long, who was in a domestic relationship with Graham, stabbed him early Sunday at a home at 1915 17th St. S. Two days later, on Tuesday night, a neighbor called police to report Graham had been found dead. The Pinellas-Pasco medical examiner determined Graham had died from upper body trauma and police launched a homicide investigation. |

Detectives say Paul Wayne Williams II was at a Shell station located at 6605 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he shot the passenger of a vehicle and “attacked the driver utilizing the weapon before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle” around 8:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said in a Tuesday news release. The passenger was taken to an area hospital, where he died, the agency said. The driver was treated for injuries at the scene. |

A man who was acquitted of a murder charge in an Athens trial in 2021 has been charged again with murder, but this time in Jefferson where he is accused of killing a teenager last month.
Jefferson police announced Thursday they have charged 27-year-old Willie Tremaine Nickholas Evans with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Evans is charged in the slaying of Joshua Wick, 19, whose body was found Jan. 20 lying on Holders Siding Road. Jefferson police Chief Joe Wirthman told the press that investigators believe Wick was tossed out of a vehicle on the roadway. However, police have not said where they believe Wick was slain, how his life was taken, and a motive. The suspect in Wick’s death was previously charged with murder in Athens. Evans was tried for the June 2019 shooting death of David Lee Burnett, 51, who was shot to death in his University Oaks apartment off West Broad Street. Body found behind motel; (Black) Bamberg man charged with murder
The body of a 38-year-old woman was discovered behind a Bamberg motel on Wednesday morning.
An autopsy is planned for Latrese Kutrina Broxton of Bamberg on Monday, according to Bamberg County Coroner Wallace Hicks Jr.
Xavier Emmanuel Javonte Jones, 31, of Second Street, Bamberg, is facing a murder charge in Broxton’s death. Someone at the Relax Inn found Broxton unresponsive on the ground behind the motel at 11 a.m. The motel is located at 2834 Main Highway. The woman had “marks on her neck and bruises on the head area,” according to a Bamberg police report. She was lying on her back, wearing a sweatshirt and had her feet crossed, the report states. As officers walked around the scene, they also discovered a red and blue stocking cap, quarter and a “bag of breakfast which had not been there long enough for the flies to attract to it,” the report states. |
(Black) Man pleads guilty to murdering pregnant Akron woman
AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A man who shot and killed a pregnant woman in April 2022 pleaded guilty in Summit County Common Pleas Court.
Jeremiah Williams, 21, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault. Akron police said on April 14, 2022, there was a shootout between two groups of individuals on Rockaway Street, where at least 30 rounds from three different guns were fired. Teyaurra Harris, 21, was a passenger in a vehicle in the area when she was struck by a stray bullet. Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Harris in September 2022 at a home in Akron. Williams will be sentenced at a later date. |

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Court documents say surveillance video showed a Lexington murder suspect at the scene of the September shooting, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Bobby Hubbard is being accused in the shooting death of 22-year-old Doricky Harris in the 500 block of West Sixth Street. Hubbard was arrested on January 1 in Mississippi. According to the Herald-Leader, he was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center Thursday. The Herald-Leader reports that court documents say investigators found evidence of the shooting at the apartment building where Harris was found shot, and Hubbard was eventually identified as a suspect. The Herald-Leader says Hubbard had a distinct vehicle that was spotted on surveillance video arriving at the apartment shortly before the shooting and leaving shortly afterward. Hubbard said he was asked to come to the apartment by a female and pointed himself out on the surveillance video. The Herald-Leader reports that three weeks after the shooting, Hubbard was found in Northern Kentucky with a handgun that matched the shell casing found at the scene, according to court documents. |

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department have arrested the man who they say is behind a deadly shooting that happened at an apartment complex
According to BRPD, Jeremiah Hayes, 23, of Baton Rouge, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 2, and charged with first-degree murder. He is accused of shooting Timothy Chapman, 20, while trying to rob him on Monday night, Dec. 19, 2022, at the Broadmoor Plantation Apartments on Florida Boulevard, according to officials. Chapman died at the scene, officials added. |

CROWN POINT — A man who was allegedly stabbed and killed by his girlfriend in October begged her to call for help as he lay wounded on their porch steps, according to newly unsealed court records.
Alexis Sanders, 24, of Gary was booked into the Lake County Jail Monday on charges of murder. Sanders killed her boyfriend Dominique Davis, 30, outside her home in the 2200 block of Tennessee Street, according to the charges. Prior to Sanders allegedly stabbing Davis, a Ring doorbell camera captured audio of a confrontation between the couple, according to court documents. Davis can be seen stumbling out of the house and onto the front lawn shortly after the confrontation, according to the records. |

Tolliver, a teacher at Campbell Drive K-8 Center in Homestead, mentored the student and developed a close personal relationship with her, according to NBC Miami. The victim told authorities their relationship turned sexual, and Tolliver would climb through her bedroom window for trysts without her mother’s knowledge. |

A former Arizona state trooper will spend five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple sex-related charges stemming from his actions during traffic stops, according to Fox 10 Phoenix.
Tremaine Jackson, who was a 13-year veteran of the Arizona Department of Public Safety at the time of his arrest in 2019, was initially charged with 61 counts of sex-related, kidnapping and fraud charges, according to the AZDPS website. Agreeing to a plea deal, Jackson pleaded guilty to unlawful imprisonment with sexual intent, bribery with sexual intent, attempted kidnapping with sexual intent, fraud with sexual intent and unlawful sexual conduct by a peace officer. In addition to the prison sentence, Jackson was also placed on lifetime probation. Records show Jackson was arrested by AZDPS on Sept. 10, 2019, after the agency investigated multiple complaints from community members, which included at least eight victims. In June of that year, the agency received a complaint against Jackson alleging he sexually assaulted a woman during a traffic stop. He was immediately placed on administrative leave, and law enforcement began to investigate. “The Arizona Department of Public Safety deeply regrets the reprehensible acts perpetrated by Tremaine Jackson. An inmate at the Oklahoma County Detention Center has pleaded guilty to the 2021 murder of their cellmate, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
The suspect, Shaquile Brown, 29, was sentenced to life in prison with the first 30 years to be served and the rest suspended. At around 7 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2021, an inmate, Brad Lane, was found dead in his cell and his cellmate, Brown, had a metal object in his hand. Officers at the jail had ordered Brown to drop the weapon, which was a walking boot, but he didn't comply, the OSBI said. Brown was pepper sprayed multiple times before he dropped the boot, and he was cuffed and taken out of the cell. |

An Aiken teenager is facing several attempted murder charges stemming from a shooting.
Cameron Jonathan Lamar Lott, 17, of Aiken, was arrested and charged Feb. 4 with six counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.
Police were told around 3 a.m. Jan. 29 that someone fired rounds inside a residence on Bristol Avenue and the suspect was having ongoing issues with a victim and another juvenile, an incident report with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office said. The victim told police he was shot by the suspect Sept. 24, 2022 and has been having ongoing issues with the suspect since, the report said. The victim told police that he was standing on the front porch and saw the suspect with an AK-47 in the passenger side of a gray Dodge Charger slowly passing by, the report said. |

Cleveland Heights officials identify (Black) driver accused in deadly hit-skip
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Heights officials said a 66-year-old man is dead after being injured in a hit-skip crash.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as David Eisler of Cleveland Heights.
According to city officials, a 55-year-old man fled the scene after hitting Eisler as he walked through a crosswalk. The crash happened Jan. 19 near the Lee Road Library, and officers arrested the suspect Jan. 25, officials said. He’s been identified by officials as Derrick Matthews. On Jan. 31, Eisler was declared dead at University Hospitals, according to the medical examiner. The medical examiner said his cause of death was blunt force injuries. |

LYNDHURST, Ohio (WOIO) - A Lakewood woman was sentenced Monday in Lyndhurst Municipal Court after being convicted of OVI for driving a Hawken School bus drunk on the highway.
Diene Hines pleaded guilty on Jan. 9.
On Monday, Judge Dominic Coletta ordered Hines to be on probation for one year, obtain an alcohol and/or substance abuse assessment, and obtain a mental health assessment, Hines also lost her license for one year. Prior to sentencing, Hines completed a 72-hour Driver Intervention Program (DIP). Lyndhurst police said Hines was spotted by a caller around 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 23, 2022. The caller told police Hines was swaying between the lanes on I-271 northbound, drove over the lane markers at the top of the exit ramp to Cedar Road and then was hitting curbs while driving down Cedar Road. |

(Black) charged in connection to murder of woman found in Shaker Heights apartment
SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - The 24-year-old man arrested in Florida in connection to the murder of a woman found in a Shaker Heights apartment building received new charges on Friday.
Officers arrived at the building in the 3500 block of Tolland Road early Tuesday night when they discovered the body, according to previous reports. The indictment filed in the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court said Warner allegedly killed the woman between Jan. 14 and 15, and stole her car. The Cuyahoga County grand jury on Friday indicted Christian Warner, 24, on nine charges. He is expected to be arraigned later this month. Shaker Heights detectives found the woman’s body Tuesday after family members of the victim asked police to check on her. The family members said they had not heard from her for weeks. Ray Stovall said the woman that lived at the apartment was his niece. He said she worked several jobs and had “big dreams.” |
Forest Park man stabbed to death, (Black) Cincinnati man charged with murder
FOREST PARK, Ohio — One man is dead, and another is charged with murder after a stabbing in Forest Park.
Officers were called to Cascade Road Friday afternoon around 3:20 p.m. for a person injured in an assault. The stabbing victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where officers said he later died. He has been identified as 44-year-old Steven Lambert. Forest Park Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Justin Toran Sr., of Cincinnati. He was caught and charged with murder Friday night. In paperwork filed with the court, police said Toran stabbed Lambert multiple times after an argument. Police said they gathered information from witnesses at the scene, who alleged Toran had intentionally killed Lambert. Toran was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center. He appeared in court Saturday morning. A judge set his bond at $750,000. |
(Black) Pinellas woman arrested in connection to fatal Robles Park stabbing in Tampa, police say
A 53-year-old St. Petersburg woman was arrested Thursday in connection to a fatal stabbing in the Robles Park neighborhood in Tampa last November, police said Friday.
Officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 400 block of East Nordica Street just after 3 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2022, and found a 49-year-old man with critical injuries, the Tampa Police Department said in a news release. . The man was taken to the hospital, where he died. . During the course of their investigation, detectives say they interviewed Clarissa Cubby, an acquaintance of the victim, and she told them the man had dragged her into an apartment located at 428 Nordica Street. She said he had pushed and punched her, and she stabbed him “to get him off her,” according to the release. |
(Black) ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGED STABBING, ANIMAL ABUSE IN STILLWATER 
STILLWATER, Okla. -
Stillwater Police made an arrest after responding to the scene of an alleged stabbing that happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday near South Duncan Street and West 4th Avenue.
Officers said they arrived on scene and administered first aid to a victim of the stabbing, who was later transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police then said Tyler Tannenbaum, 25, from North Carolina, fled the area on foot prior to officer’s arrival, although he was later located and confronted by police. Officers said they gave Tannenbaum verbal commands to exit a residence in the area, and once outside he failed to comply with officer commands. Following the use of a Taser officers said was used to subdue him, Tannenbaum was taken into custody without further incident. After the arrest Stillwater Police located a deceased dog with several stab wounds inside the residence where Tyler was at. |

Carrasco was attempting to speak with Dixon when police say he was shot multiple times by the defendant. Carrasco didn’t have a chance to shoot back, police said. |

A man who was acquitted of a murder charge in an Athens trial in 2021 has been charged again with murder, but this time in Jefferson where he is accused of killing a teenager last month.
Jefferson police announced Thursday they have charged 27-year-old Willie Tremaine Nickholas Evans with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Evans is charged in the slaying of Joshua Wick, 19, whose body was found Jan. 20 lying on Holders Siding Road. Jefferson police Chief Joe Wirthman told the press that investigators believe Wick was tossed out of a vehicle on the roadway. 2020: A 24-year-old Athens man was arrested this week for an alleged murder nearly a year ago at a west Athens apartment complex. Willie Tremaine Nickholas Evans, 24, was booked into the Clarke County Jail Sunday night on murder and other charges related to the June 13, 2019 fatal shooting of 51-year-old David Lee Burnette in the victim’s home at the University Oaks complex off West Broad Street. Athens-Clarke County police believe that robbery was the motive for the shooting.Evans, who also resided at University Oaks, was additionally charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the jail’s website. At the time of the incident, police said officers responded to University Oaks to investigate a report of gunshots. PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - A man has been indicted in connection to the deadly shooting of another man in Phoenix the day after Thanksgiving last year.
David Isaiah Turner is accused of killing 33-year-old Tecon Travon Jackson on Friday, Nov. 25 in the area of 7th Avenue and Culver Street. After he was shot, family members brought Jackson to a Phoenix hospital where he later died. Jackson’s mother, Rusland Biscoe, told Arizona’s Family in late November that she believed the shooting happened after a confrontation near Hance Park. Turner was indicted on Dec. 2 on one count of first degree murder. Police later found and arrested him on Jan. 17. He’s now being held on a $1 million bond. <----<⭐︎>----> |

A Tennessee man has been arrested after his ex-girlfriend was found stabbed to death and crammed inside a plastic container in his closet, authorities said Monday.
Dwayne Herelle Jr., 28, was being charged with criminal homicide for the stabbing death of 24-year-old Irene Torres, the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department said. Herelle had met Torres between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Sunday outside her home in Old Hickory, where an apparent argument ensued, according to investigators. Herelle told detectives during an interview that he stabbed Torres during the argument. Investigators allege that Herelle then drove his ex-girlfriend’s body across the county to his apartment in Bellevue, where he stuffed her inside the plastic container and hid it inside his closet. Torres’ parents checked the security footage outside her residence and saw Herelle taking her away, police said. |

Arizona police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly killing a woman in December, according to police.
Jesus Gonzalez of Chandler, Arizona was arrested on Jan. 23 by the Chandler Police Department in Arizona and charged with second-degree homicide. Police said officers were dispatched to reports of a person not breathing on West Lemon Tree in Chandler, Arizona just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2022. When police arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman who was dead, a press release from the Chandler Police Department read. An initial investigation found the victim’s boyfriend, Gonzalez, knew about the woman’s death but failed to report it to police. He was arrested for the misdemeanor charge of not reporting her death. BEDFORD — A member of the MS-13 gang who Bedford County’s chief prosecutor said was the “architect” in a Lynchburg teen’s brutal March 2017 murder was sentenced Tuesday to two life sentences plus 10 years.
Josue Moises Coreas-Ventura, 26, was the last of five co-defendants sentenced in connection with the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Raymond Wood. The gang abducted Wood from his Lynchburg home and killed him on a rural Bedford County road. “These individuals took turns butchering him on the side of the road,” said Bedford Commonwealth’s Attorney Wes Nance. A jury last February found Coreas-Ventura guilty of aggravated murder and abduction for financial benefit, and he also pleaded guilty to gang participation. Nance said Coreas-Ventura provided the murder weapon, a knife, and was the one directing the planned attack on Wood, who was lured outside his home by a fake drug deal. “We’re dealing with the leader of the death squad,” Nance said of Coreas-Ventura. “There’s no question he was the leader of the pack ... but today proves he will not get away with it.” Marjorie Stagno, Wood’s mother, testified Coreas-Ventura was the only one of the five for whom she wished the death penalty. She asked Judge James Updike Jr. to sentence him to the fullest extent he could get, which the defendant received. “In my eyes, you are the definition of pure evil,” she told Coreas-Ventura in court. The man charged in connection with the slaying of a Microsoft executive in front of his 2-year-old daughter last year has a direct connection to the slain father’s ex-wife and her new husband, property records show.
Records show Henry Tenon, 61 — who is facing a murder rap for allegedly killing Jared Bridegan — lived in a home once owned by Mario Fernandez. Tenon resided at 5239 Potomac Ave. in Jacksonville, Fla., which is listed as being owned by Fernandez. Fernandez had married Shanna Gardner-Fernandez in 2018, two years after she had split from Bridegan, with whom she had continued to feud about custody arrangements for their two children long after their divorce. The Biden administration is proposing to allow people to check off Hispanic or Latino as their race, as well as their ethnicity. The administration has been reviewing its more than quarter-century-old definitions of race and ethnicity and is proposing to combine two questions about race and ethnicity into one on the census and in other government data collection. The administration also is proposing a Middle Eastern or North African category, shortened to MENA. Currently people of such origin are included in the white category, something people in the MENA category have advocated to be changed for three decades, the proposal states. |

An ex-con has been arrested for the shocking 1994 double murder of a sickly Harlem mother and her special-needs daughter, the Daily News has learned.
Both victims were strangled in their bedrooms, officials said at the time. Four male suspects have been arrested in the rape of a Louisiana State University sorority member after she was later dumped on the side of the road and fatally struck by a car following a night of drinking, police said.
Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, turned themselves in Monday, more than a week after 19-year-old Madison Brooks was fatally struck in Baton Rouge, the Advocate reported. A fourth suspect, a 17-year-old boy who had not been identified because he is a minor, turned himself in on Sunday, the outlet reported. Brooks had been drinking at Reggie’s, a bar near the LSU campus where she met the 17-year-old suspect on Jan. 15, the newspaper reported. She left between 1 and 2 a.m. with the teen and the three other suspects, according to an arrest warrant. Carver admitted to police that Brooks “was very unstable on her feet, was not able to keep her balance, and was unable to speak clearly without slurring her words,” the document states. BLACK Augusta Couple Charged with Killing Their Child – Again!
An Augusta couple is facing child cruelty charges after their unattended baby died Tuesday night in their home, a year after they were charged with murder in the death of another child.
Samson Scott, the 6-month-old son of Tyrone Christopher Scott and his wife Salena Devine Tyler-Scott, died after being found unresponsive on a reclining couch Tuesday night. The couple had left the baby alone in the living room around 10 p.m. in the reclining couch “on his back but kind of on his back” while they watched TV for about 40 minutes, a sheriff’s report says. “When Tyrone went into the room to check on their child, they found him unresponsive and that is when they dialed 911 and began chest compressions,” the report says. The child was rushed by Gold Cross to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m., Coroner Mark Bowen said. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. Authorities say the home at 1906 Watkins Street was found in deplorable and nasty conditions with items stacked all over. Affidavit: (Black) Man called 911 after deadly east Austin shooting
AUSTIN (KXAN) – A Travis County affidavit filed Thursday provided more information surrounding an east Austin shooting where a man was accused of killing his wife.
Travis County court records showed Austin Police officers responded to a call Thursday at approximately 3:52 p.m. in the 2200 block of Colgate Lane. The affidavit said 77-year-old Willie Herbert Easley called 911, and the call taker could tell he was in distress. Records said the caller was on the line with the 911 operator and had Easley on a separate line. “While on the phone with the 911 operator, [the caller] gasped and stated, ‘Oh my gosh, I think he just said my mom is dead.’” When first responders arrived at the residence, Easley opened the door and pointed toward the living room area of the residence. A woman, later identified as 72-year-old Muriel Easley, was found inside suffering from an apparent life-threatening, single gunshot wound to the back of the head. She was later pronounced dead, APD said. According to records, while first responders were inside the residence, Willie said, “She’s dead. CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The man accused of stabbing a Bedford father and son to death in August 2022, has been found competent to stand trial.
Roger Herring, 37, of Cleveland, was indicted on two counts of aggravated murder, four counts of murder and four counts of felonious assault. Bedford police said Herring stabbed Christopher Pate, 47, and Christopher Pate, 19, inside a home on Magnolia Avenue around 8:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. When officers arrived, they said they found both men on the floor of the home, bleeding profusely. The 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His father was transported to Marymount Hospital and then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. |

Police say it was predatory behavior and they're concerned there could be more children who were allegedly preyed upon. A Special Victims Unit captain said so far, two accusers have come forward and submitted to forensic interviews. Foster, a coach with the Port Richmond Tigers, surrendered to police to answer to charges of rape, aggravated indecent assault and other sex crimes after detectives with the SVU say he preyed upon at least two teenage team members, ages 13 and 14. "This investigation started on Jan. 9 when a 14-year-old girl came in with her mother," Capt. James Kearney said, "and informed us of inappropriate relations that was going on with her coach Mr. Foster." Two days later, investigators say a 13-year-old then came forward to make a complaint. Ernest accepted his plea agreement, which was reached through negotiations between the prosecution and defense. At the request of Assistant County Prosecutor Scott Deedrick, the judge dropped one evidence tampering charge that was part of the original indictment. Fitzgerald and Cekoyia M. Riechers of Dover put the body of Amber L. Sherrell, 38, along White Bridge Road in Goshen Township in the early morning hours of Oct. 26, 2021, three days after she died from an overdose. Riechers is serving three years in prison for gross abuse of a corpse, failure to report a death and three counts of evidence tampering. |

According to the Upper Sandusky Police Department Chief Jared Lucas, Bethel Bekele, 27, was indicted by the Wyandot County Grand Jury for the murder of 22-year-old Keris Riebel. Bekele pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Bekele was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon and a motion to hold Bekele without bond was held, in which the judge granted the request. Further details regarding the murder indictment and any additional criminal charges remain unknown at this time. Prior to Wednesday’s arraignment, the Wyandot County Prosecuting Attorney said there is no known relationship between Bekele and Riebel, calling the attack “random, sudden, and unprovoked.” He also said Bekele allegedly continued to attack Riebel as she was on the ground. Deonte Bishop is accused of killing a man in a hit-and-run crash in November and then shooting and killing 15-year-old Zykiqurio Lofton in December, according to police. Zykiqurio's mother Jessica Lofton feels her son's death could have easily been prevented partly because Bishop was wearing ankle monitor at the time of the murder. Lofton wants to know how Bishop was able to leave his home if his whereabouts were being monitored. She remembers her son as a devoted son and caring big brother to his four younger siblings. "He could light up a whole room with his smile," Lofton said. "He was a leader. He was a protector and most of all he was loyal." Back on the night of December 30, St. Petersburg police said Zykiqurio was leaving the Citrus Grove Apartments at the corner of 7th Avenue South and 16th Street South in St. Pete around 9 p.m. when he was struck by bullets and killed. MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two men are charged after police say they beat a man to death in Milwaukee. Police say the Oct. 25 beating was caught on surveillance camera. Video shows 47-year-old Terry Johnson, 57-year-old Marvin Millner and an unidentified BLACK third suspect (niglet) attack the man outside a gas station on the city's south side. Police say they left the man for dead, and Millner took off in the victim's car. The victim was identified as 46-year-old Rodney Surprise. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police in Washington DC are facing pressure to charge a homeowner who fatally shot a 13-year-old boy.
Karon Blake, who is black, was gunned down in the early hours of last Saturday, investigators said. According to police, the homeowner, who is also black, said he heard noises outside his home and saw the teenager "tampering with vehicles". Officials said the man went outside with his registered gun and shot the boy following an "interaction". No criminal charges have been pressed so far, and police have resisted public calls to name the homeowner who opened fire. Police said the man called 911 after he shot the (black) "child". Officers said they found him performing CPR on the boy when they arrived at the scene in the north-east of the city. The shooting took place in Brookland, a neighbourhood that has undergone rapid gentrification in recent years, like other parts of the US capital. Los Angeles police released body-camera video showing what led up to an officer deploying his taser on a man who later died. The incident happened on Jan. 3 and involved Los Angeles resident Keenan Darnell Anderson, the cousin of Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors. Ande rson, 31, a Black man, died at a hospital after suffering a medical emergency about four and a half hours after his arrest. The officer tells Anderson to "get off to the side," the video shows. In response, Anderson says that someone is trying to kill him. Anderson eventually gets on the sidewalk and puts his hands in the air. "I didn't mean to," he tells the officer. The officer instructs Anderson to get up against the wall, the video shows. Anderson instead drops to his knees and puts his hands behind his head. (Black) Arrested for shooting at Fossil Park in St. Petersburg
ST. PETERSBURG — City police have arrested a man who they shot and critically wounded another man after a fight on the basketball courts at Fossil Park on Sunday night.
Marquiel Lamonte Anderson, 23, was arrested on Wednesday on one charge of attempted second-degree murder and two charges of violating his probation. Court records show he was on probation for previous charges of leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury, felony battery and violating a no-contact order. The shooting occurred about 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the park, which is located in the 6600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N. The man who was shot is 38 years old and remained in critical condition on Wednesday, police said. Police said a fight had broken out on the courts between the 38-year-old man and several other plays. He pulled a gun from a bag to disperse the crowd, police said. After he retreated, Anderson went to his car, got a gun and shot the man, police said. |

TAMPA — A Hillsborough County man ensnared in a sting that aimed to combat human trafficking ahead of the 2021 Super Bowl will spend the next 30 years in state prison.
Alvin Lynch Jr., 36, received the sentence Monday, about two months after a jury found him guilty of nine separate criminal charges, including three counts of human trafficking. One person identified as a victim in the case was just 17 years old. Hillsborough Circuit Judge Christopher Sabella also ordered Lynch to serve 10 years of sex offender probation upon his release from prison. |

INDIANAPOLIS — Nalah "Spittin" Jackson, the woman charged with kidnapping two Ohio twins last month, has pleaded guilty to an unrelated charge in Marion County.
Jackson pleaded guilty Wednesday to battery by bodily waste. According to court documents, on Dec. 23 Jackson spit in the face of a detention deputy while being scanned. She received a one year sentence. 60 days will be served in the adult detention center, while 305 days are suspended, according to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office. |

The baby was still listed in critical condition on Tuesday, according to police A Minnesota man is facing second-degree murder charges for allegedly shooting his pregnant girlfriend outside an Amazon distribution center where he worked, according to police and a probable cause affidavit outlining the charges. - (image link fixed) Donte Rapheal McCray, 32, is accused of shooting 31-year-old Kyla Bianca Fletcher once in the neck on Sunday in the parking lot of the warehouse. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and performed an emergency cesarean section to deliver the baby. Fletcher later died at a local hospital, while the baby survived but was listed in critical condition on Tuesday. McCray originally told officers that he "tried to clear a round in the chamber and the gun accidentally discharged, hitting the victim in the neck," according to a probable cause affidavit. Detectives then pulled surveillance video of the incident. After confronting McCray with what the surveillance video showed, he "admitted when the victim's car backed up, he was angry that the door hit him and he raised the gun, pointed it at the victim and pulled the trigger," according to the affidavit. Investigators also spoke with family members of the victim, who said that Fletcher and McCray got into an argument earlier in the day after she learned of his infidelity. "He then told the victim and her family ‘You all ain’t bullet proof. I'm going to f--- you all up. You ain't bullet proof,'" McCray told Fletcher and her family earlier in the day, according to the affidavit. McCray, who was out on probation at the time of the shooting for possession of a pistol in a public place without a permit, will face additional charges if the baby does not survive, Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena said. Under the terms of his probation, McCray was prohibited from possessing any firearms. |

BLACK KILLER DEMONS ON INNOCENT WHITE VICTIMS: US Supreme Court refuses to hear appeals from 'Wichita massacre'
Each black brother accused the other of committing the fatal crimes
The U.S. Supreme Court refused Monday to hear the appeals of two brothers who were sentenced to death for four fatal shootings in a Kansas soccer field in December 2000 known as "the Wichita massacre." Outgoing Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said the high court's decision means Jonathan and Reginald Carr no longer have any direct appeals of their death sentences. However, Schmidt said, they can still file lawsuits in state and federal courts to try to prevent their executions by lethal injection. The U.S. Supreme Court's action came a little less than a year after the Kansas Supreme Court ruled that the two brothers had received fair trials and upheld their death sentences. Kansas has nine men on death row, but the state has not executed anyone since serial killers James Latham and George York were hanged on the same day in June 1965. Prosecutors said the brothers broke into a home in December 2000 and forced the three men and two women there to have sex with one another and later to withdraw money from ATMs. According to authorities, the women were raped repeatedly before all five were taken to a soccer field and shot. Four victims died: Aaron Sander, 29; Brad Heyka, 27; Jason Befort, 26; and Heather Muller, 25. One of the women survived to testify against the Carr brothers. Other crimes over six days left a fifth person dead. Each of the brothers accused the other of carrying out the crimes. The Kansas court upheld their convictions in 2014 but overturned their death sentences, concluding that not having separate hearings violated the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Supreme Court reversed that decision in 2016, returning the case to the Kansas Supreme Court. Attorneys for the brothers raised questions about how their cases weren’t conducted separately when jurors were considering whether the death penalty was warranted. Other issues they raised included the instructions that were given to jurors and how closing arguments were conducted. The Kansas court's majority concluded that while the lower-court judge and prosecutors made errors, those errors did not warrant overturning their death sentences again. The U.S. Supreme Court's decision Monday came only hours before Schmidt, a three-term Republican, formally left office after losing the governor's race in November. TEMPE, AZ - TEMPE, Ariz. — The man police believe shot a Scottsdale police officer in Phoenix Friday night has died after a shootout with police in Tempe early Saturday evening. The officer who was shot Friday has since been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Kenneth Hearne's death was confirmed in a tweet from Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio later Saturday night. The injured sergeant, Scott Galbraith, was released from the hospital and returned home for his continued recovery, Scottsdale police announced on Sunday. Galbraith is a supervisor with Scottsdale police's Special Assignment Unit, which a police spokesman described as "basically [their] full-time SWAT Team." Galbraith has been with the department for 19 years. Phoenix police said they arrested Hearne around 5:15 p.m., Saturday evening after a shootout at 4677 S. Lakeshore Drive in Tempe, near Baseline and Rural roads. Hearne was injured in the shootout and was transferred to a local hospital, police said. Officers were investigating leads in the area when they encountered Hearne, who was armed with a gun, a Phoenix police spokesman said. Officers approached Hearne and "separated him from the gun," the spokesman said. Hearne was taken to a hospital in "extremely critical condition," the spokesman said. City Councilman Sal DiCiccio later tweeted that Hearne died. The Tempe Police Department is investigating the incident. The initial incident happened around 7 p.m. at an apartment complex near 2nd Avenue and Roosevelt Street. Scottsdale police said officers with the Special Assignments Unit were serving a search warrant in the complex and were met at the front door by a woman and child who told police no one else was home. Officers said while they removed the mother and child from the home; they recognized someone they believed to be the suspect in the hallway. Police said the suspect ducked inside a room and started firing a gun through the wall, striking an SAU sergeant. Police said officers and the suspect engaged in gunfire, at which point the suspect hopped over a second-story balcony and fled from the scene. TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - Police confirmed they have arrested the man accused of shooting and injuring a Scottsdale police sergeant who was serving a warrant at a downtown Phoenix apartment complex Friday night.
Around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, Tempe police say officers from the Phoenix Police Department located the suspect, 37-year-old Kenneth Hearne, in the area of Lakeshore Drive and Baseline Road in Tempe. Phoenix Police Sergeant Philip Krynksy said members of the special assignment unit had some leads and were conducting follow-ups with the investigation. Police say Hearne appeared in the area, and officers tried to take him into custody. Sgt. Krynsky said that’s when a gun was produced by Hearne, and an officer-involved shooting occurred. Officers were able to get to Hearne and take the gun away from him. Hearne was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, no officers were hurt in the shooting. The footage from December showed a dark stain spread down the 71-year-old president’s gray trousers as he stood for the national anthem at a road commissioning event. The video never aired on television but subsequently circulated on social media. Hispanic Man dead after allegedly threatening son of a Mesa homeowner who reportedly shot him
MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - A man is dead after being reportedly shot by a Mesa homeowner who told police the man threatened his son with a gun.
Mesa police responded to a shooting at a home near 88th St. and E. University Drive, just west of Ellsworth Road, around 3:40 a.m. on Saturday. Officers said they found Omar Valdez, 26, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds and a semiautomatic handgun next to him. Valdez was taken to a hospital, where he later died. During their investigation, officers spoke to a 47-year-old homeowner and three other adults who said Valdez had come to the house saying he was looking for his girlfriend’s cousin. The homeowner said Valdez pointed a gun at their son, who was standing in the doorway of their house. The homeowner told police that was when they shot Valdez with a handgun kept just inside the front door of their house. Mesa police say no official charges have been filed, but an investigation is still underway. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211.
