(Black) Man awaiting trial since 2011 on charge of murder of elderly White woman sends bizarre letters to judge
Marcus SmithKathryn "Kit" GrazioliSheriff's deputy Harry LeMonteA man in jail on charges of murder and attempted murder sent more than a dozen bizarre letters to an El Paso County judge between the summer of 2012 and April of last year. The letters were recently released to The Gazette by the 4th Judicial District Court through an open records request. Marcus Smith, 25, is known for his frequent outbursts in court, which often get him booted from hearings. Smith has been awaiting trial since 2011 for the murder of 87-year-old Kathryn "Kit" Grazioli, and more recently was also accused of attempted murder of an El Paso County jail guard, sheriff's deputy Harry LeMonte. Since July 16, 2012, Smith has sent 13 letters to Judge Barbara Hughes. The letters are repetitive and accuse the court of calling him "black" when he is actually "brown." In the July 16 letter, he writes that he is innocent and wants his record cleared and a $500 million payment from the court. Frequently refers to himself as Kntu KintA. - (Black-on-white)

(Black) Husband Who Filmed Dead (white) Wife Stabbed Her In The Heart Over (Adulterous) Co-Worker Affair,
Threats To Get Pregnant By Another Man

Andrew Farley JrTiffany FarleyFLINT – A man who prosecutors say killed his wife during a marathon argument over infidelity and talks of divorce has been convicted of second-degree murder in her 2014 stabbing death. A jury this week returned the verdict against 44-year-old Andrew Farley in the slaying of his 34-year-old wife, Tiffany Caine-Smith Farley. According to testimony, Andrew Farley and his wife were in a drawn-out argument on October 24, 2014 that had lasted for more than a day. The argument included Tiffany Farley’s extramarital affair with a co-worker and her threats to divorce him and get pregnant by another man, authorities said. Evidence submitted at trial indicated that Andrew Farley hit his wife over the head with a flashlight, knocking her to the floor while she was in the bathroom of the couple’s Grand Blanc Township home. Andrew Farley then proceeded to retrieve a knife from another room and came back and stabbed his wife six times, once in the heart. During the trial, jurors were shown so-called “selfie videos” that Andrew Farley had made with the body of his deceased wife in view. Andrew Farley, a middle school teacher and Boy Scout leader, admitted in the videos that he had killed his wife due to being distraught over her extramarital affair and threats of divorce. Tiffany Farley’s body was later discovered by a family friend and authorities were called to the scene. Officials say Andrew Farley had also intentionally severed a gas line to the home’s water heater and lit a fire in a fireplace, in a possible attempt to commit suicide. The smell of gas was so strong at the scene that neighboring homes were evacuated out of caution. Andrew Farley faces up to life in prison when he’s sentenced on December 14. - (Black-on-white)

(Black) Driver (blasting rap-crap noise) accused of attacking elderly (White) school crossing guard in Pasadena
Darrick CollinsBob McAteerPASADENA, TX -- An elderly Pasadena crossing guard says he was attacked by a man after telling him to turn down his music in a school zone. Bob McAteer has been a crossing guard at Pasadena ISD's Richey Elementary for 16 years. There have been some low points, but Tuesday morning was the lowest. "I was so mad, I was shaking. I can't believe people are like that," said McAteer, known as "Mr. Bob" to the parents and children he helps cross the street safely. Pasadena police were called to the crosswalk in front of the school around 7:30am. Witnesses told officers a driver in a red car with a child inside approached the crosswalk at a high rate of speed, got out and attacked the crossing guard, shouting profanities at pedestrians, including children, and then drove off erratically. McAteer says he only asked him to turn down his music. "He got in my face, cursing me, threatening me. I had my stop sign in front of me. He threw a swing at me. I threw the stop sign up. He hit it and broke it. That's when it hit my arm," McAteer described as he showed a couple of gashes on his left arm. Pasadena police later arrested Darrick Collins. They say when they caught up to him, he appeared angry. - (Black-on-white)

DNA leads to arrest (of black) in 1986 Marietta double rape, murder (of a White woman and her 13-year-old daughter)
Ronald Lee KylesSamantha BradyMARIETTA, Ga. -- Authorities in Cobb County say a man has been arrested in the 1986 double rape and murder of a Marietta woman and her 13-year-old daughter. Sharon Brady and her daughter Samantha Brady were found dead in their Marietta apartment on Sept. 12, 1986. Brady's 3-year-old daughter was also in the apartment but unharmed. The case went unsolved for nearly three decades after all leads were exhausted, investigators said. In 2013 samples were submitted to a private lab in Salt Lake City for advanced forensic DNA testing. That testing led to the arrest of 60-year-old man who lived in the same apartment complex as the Bradys in 1986, Ronald Lee Kyles. Police say he got into the apartment through a bedroom window and committed the crimes. He's charged with two counts of murder, two counts of rape, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of burglary in connection with the Brady murders. Former Marietta Police Detective Wayne Kennedy said Kyles was a suspect back in 1986 -- he was arrested two weeks later on a different charge -- but investigators didn't have evidence to make the case for murder. - (Black-on-white)

COLUMBIA — The night she found out her mom had been murdered, Carley Schaffer sat outside her house in a Philadelphia ice storm and smoked a cigarette. She waited for her sister to pick her up so they could travel to Columbia for the funeral. She listened to the ice crackle in the trees.
